I’m using the “Trendy Style” layout on my website, but shopify is showing “14” Speed Score with a notification – A speed score of 14 means your store is slower than similar stores on Shopify.
Also Google Page speed test show a low score for your theme. Why is the theme so slow, and how can this be fixed?

I see from your latest update that a store locator has been incorporated. I would also like to make use of this. However, I can’t just update the template because I am using custom adjustments in the theme.

Hello, I bought this theme-Ella-5.0.2-sections,now I have downloaded Ella 6.4.2,How can I keep the old theme settings?because I made some functions and a lot of code in the template,Do I have to reset it?

If you want to upgrade your current theme (Ella version 5.0.2) to the newest version (Ella 6.4.2), you have to build your website as using a new theme with the main reason the following:
1/ Between the Ella version 5.0 and Ella 6.0 are completely different code structures. Therefore, when updating to the latest version, all your customization/ modification will be lost. You have to redo it again.
2/ With Ella version 6.0 was written new code which is compatible with Shopify 2.0 OS and was built from the Dawn theme.
3/ In case, if you want to update your theme source to the latest source, you need to follow our instruction here to update: https://halosoft.gitbook.io/ella-documentation/installation/update-theme/update-from-ella-1.0-2.0-3.0-4.0-5.0-to-ella-6.0 and build your store from scratch.
Note:
- The instructions below are applied to update the theme without losing default settings in Theme Editor (not including the customization and app’s code).
- About the apps you installed, you might need to install them again. We recommend you contact the app provider to have support because we’re not able to handle the app’s code.

i have solved the problem about the code,set up and installed ella 6.4.2,unfortunately,page speed is toooo slow,google merchant center cannot crawl the pages of some products,my product was disapproved for two days and I lost tens of thousands of dollars in sales,I have to change it back to 5.0.2.The function and style of this theme are indeed much better than the old version, but I hope you can do a better job in speed optimization

My client website is running fine and everything is working as it should since beginning. Yesterday I enabled “Variant Image Grouped” and followed everything as mentioned but when I change color variant on a particular product, featured image area doesn’t show/load any image whereas slider shows all the images. And on mobile it is working fine, on change of color variant all images load and slides as well.
Please let me know what I have to do here to fix this?

I am having a bit of an issue with the announcement bar. It seems it just does not want to scroll when using the slider version. So basically, even though I have multiple slides, it just stays on the first one. Not sure if there is an extra setting I need to activate to make it work, but for the life of me, I can’t find it!

Hmmm I only have access via a Shopify Partners account, which I am not allowed to give. Is there another way to try and remedy the situation? I can provide the link to the Shopify store.
If you cannot provide staff and a Shopify Partners account, it would be great if you can give us access to your website through store login information including email & password.
I apologize for the late reply. As I mentioned, I cannot give access of any kind. However, I was able to fix the issue. In the announcement bar file, you were making reference to the slider element as “this.announcementBar”, which came back as undefined. I changed that to use “this.announcementBarSlider” instead, which fixed the issue.

yes thanks for your reply, if possible, you can directly tell me where to modify the code, such as “base.css—-line 258, I can do it myself. I can’t submit a ticket because it’s over support time. The other versions work fine, but this one alone has the header menu aligned to the left instead of the center, it looks weird.
