The theme is great, the only problem so far is that the functions.js file blocks the JQuery autocomplete (https://jqueryui.com/autocomplete/). As soon as you remove it it works, but obviously the scripts there are essential for the theme to work. Does anyone have any advice?

On mobile device, a date field also opens keyboard and trying to close the keyboard sometimes leads to closing date dialog. Is there anyway we can restrict this behaviour?

Since Canvas 7 runs on VanillaJS, jQuery is not defined by default. Simply add the js/jquery.js JS File Linking before the js/functions.js JS File Linking on the Page:<script src="js/jquery.js"></script> <script src="js/functions.js"></script>
and then replace $ with jQuery in your Custom JS Codes.

Yes, it is not enabled by default to disappear after click as once you navigate to another URL after clicking a Menu Link it will automatically be collapsed. This is the default behavior of the Mobile Menus. You can add additional functionality to the Menus as required.

Hello. Im glad you released 7 but I have some issues. I create a package just with corporate demo but when loading in my server the header doesnt load the sticky code, etc. This means, menu and logo is transparent while scrolling. This only happens in 7. Used before with no problems.

I’m afraid there must be something wrong… I don’t think it is related to my Apple Silicon M1 but please do consider it. As far as I can see, V7 is plenty of bugs, too many to list them all so I rather think it must be my fault and did something wrong… I downloaded V7 yesterday, twice and again, twice today. Tested it in Safari, Chrome and Fire Fox and once and again, too many thinks does not work well. Please do have a look. Thanks.

Apologies for the Inconveniences caused! Canvas 7 has been tested a lot of times before we actually released the update and the same with older versions of Canvas.
Would be great if you can please point one file and an issue with that file so that we can take a deeper look, fix them and release fixes asap. Additionally, do you see the exact same issues on the Live Previews as well: https://canvastemplate.com/ ? As the Live Previews is an exact copy of the Package Folder and appears to be working fine for us.
Additionally, the new JS Functions are designed with superior performance in mind with VanillaJS. Currently, it does not work on the Local File Systems, so if you are opening the File directly in your Browser, the JS will not work due to CORs, same as Ajax or PHP. So if you are checkin the Files locally, you will simply need to use a Localhost like XAMPP or MAMP or something like BrowserSync with Gulp (for which instructions have been provided and takes 2 mins to install). Consider checking this Documentation: https://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/getting-started/scss-gulp-js/ . This will then automatically work fine and fix any JS Issues you might be facing. Everything will work fine online on your Web Servers by just uploading the files.

I tried to follow not only documentation instructions but the whole set of things to get it all installed and all I have to say is:
this is a very different way to work than I was used to and, at a first glance, I don’t like it.
I’m not a developer and I wish I could keep on doing my job with your template as usual.
I don’t think I’m the only one thinking like this. I do understand your great effort to take Canvas to this level… but it goes beyond my limits and already started missing how easy it was working with previous versions.
You mentioned to change the entire JS system… I’d appreciate it so much, though I understand it is too much asking from me side. Please consider it.

Though we ensure you that even if you do not plan to install Node/Gulp.js, you can still always use XAMPP/MAMP.
We recommend the current JS system because we could see amazing gains on Page Speed: https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcanvastemplate.com&form_factor=desktop and we iterate that the current JS Functionality works seamlessly on Localhost and the Online Web Servers, just does not work with file:///. Alternate Mobile Menus are Substitute Menus that display only on Mobile Devices. Suppose, if the Primary Menu on Desktop is too large, then they can substituted with a smaller version of it on Mobile Devices.
