Unfortunately I wasn’t able to understand what is causing your issue so far. Since the avatars work regularly in the live demo and others websites I had the chance to test, I assume your problem must be generated from some external source (plug-ins, customizations..etc..). I also think so since Minimosity has been heavily customized in your blog. I will digg some more into this though.

The longer I play around with your theme the more I like it, you rock!
I’ve almost finished my blog’s redesign based on Minimosity, I’ve ‘only’ got Google Custom Search to implement. I’ve done it before, I should be able to manage that.
- When I run a broken image tool like Link Sleuth it comes up with hundreds of broken images with URL like the following
inc/retina-images.php?devicePixelRatio=2 - Other missing images are
/themes/minimosity/images/bg_h1.pngand/themes/minimosity/images/bullet_nav.pngand/minimosity/images/bullet_nav_2.png - I’m not sure about the ‘similar posts’ logic. It seems to always suggest the same similar posts regardless what page I’m on? Before I used ‘Yet Another Related Posts Plugin’ by mitcho. It is great! But I would prefer if I could avoid an additional plugin, of course
- How should we embed video or slideshare in order for them to scale properly in the responsive design? I assume if we give them a certain size they will not scale properly in other breakpoints?
- And is it safe to upgrade to WP 3.5 with Minimosity?

1. That is probably because the plug-in is searching for retina version of every uploaded image, which are missing. I wouldn’t worry about that.
2. Those are old references to unused images, you don’t need those. I’ll delete the links in the next update, thanks for pointing that out.
3. Related posts are based on post tags.
4. Check out fitVids plugin, I’ll probably include the script in the next update also.
5. I had no problems so far, so it should be safe. I suggest to backup your file though, just in case.

The fitVids plugin does the job of resizing videos dynamically! For noobs like me: type ’.post’ (without quotation marks) into the field “Enter jQuery Selector” in the menu Appearance / FitVids.

Unfortunately the theme itself does not provide any e-commerce functionalities. You could use some plug-in like woo-commerce but it would be up to you to set it up.

Yes there is a margin you need to use some custom CSS tu remove that spacings. Something like #branding {margin: 0} (untested as I’m on a tablet right now)

Big featured images have a fixed size of 994×350, bigger images will be automatically cropped. In classic blog mode they can be any height.

First of all allow me to compliment you that you’ve done a fabulous work on Minimosity! Heads up for this clean and elegant looking theme. Good luck with that.
Secondly, when I was about to purchase the same, I cross checked it with different browsers and resolutions. In the header where there is a sample 468×61 px advertisement banner, I replaced the banner with a 728×90 px banner using Chrome Developer Tools and found that the header gets messed up i.e. the Leaderboard banner overlaps the logo area and shifts towards the button. Next coming to the responsiveness of the theme, I opened the theme URL on my HTC One X which is of 720×1280 px resolution and the theme performed very badly. It didn’t respond to the screen resolution and the logo’s dimension remained intact as it was for desktop. Here’s the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/VMdZT.png

About your doubts:
1. You can place a leaderboard banner, but of course the logo has to be smaller and fit into the max width of the wrapper. I can’t see how they could stay side by side otherwise. With your Chrome DT try also to reduce the logo size, and see the results.
2. Weird, never had a complain about responsiveness and now two in a row. Check the answer before yours, as I said works fine on iOs and devices I tested, I will digg into this as soon as I can put my hands on some Android devices again.

The responsive layout appears to be broken on phone. There’s so much blank space on both the sides, plus the logo seems to be going out of border.. check the screenie below:

I’m on Samsung Galaxy Nexus with display resolution of 1280×720 and 316ppi. It’s not just this device, I tried on other devices with similar resolution as well and it appears same.

I see it now. I tested again on a retina iPhone and everything’s ok, I’ll do other tests on Android deviced as soon as I have the opportunity to. First time I tested the theme on Android devices, I remember it had an important setting on how to zoom pages, this might also conflict on the viewport.

sidebar widgets are located in inc/widgets/widgets-sidebar.php, check from line 661. If you know a little coding (as I think you do) you should understand how to switch tabs order.

Once you translated the .po file in your language, you need to set up your language code (eg. en_EN) in wp-config.php in your wordpress installation route folder.

Ok, I use WP Arabic version, and exists within the wp-config file, define(‘WPLANG’, ‘ar’); , and I rename default.po to ar.po and ar.mo after translation, did not get any change?
You don’t have to rename the default.po, but save the result of the translation as LANGUAGE_CODE.po (.mo file is automatically generated from Poedit).
Also your language code it’s unlikely to be ‘ar’. It must be something like ar_SA (for Saudi Arabia for example).

Hi, I have another small question about your great template. Are we allowed use this template also with another related project, which will be running on subdomain and it will be also non-profit project (another fanweb) or we have to buy it again? Thanks in advance
Other quick questions:
1. The upper right social media area doesn’t have that bar drop down showing which social media you just moused-over. In short, when I mouse-over the facebook icon image on the right hand corner a little drop down is suppose to show that it’s the Facebook icon
2. The social media widget where it shows twitter, youtube, facebook on the right side of each page doesn’t show the amount of fans I have, yet when you click on the icon it takes you to the facebook page – what gives?
3. How can you have the upper right small social icons (same as refered in question #1) open in a new window?
4. On the Twitter widget, how can you have the “Follow xyz” open in a new window?

1. This is weird indeed, did you edit the css files in any way? First time I see this issue, I’ll investigate and reply you at the email you also sent me.
2. Actually it takes to me to facebook homepage since your page seems to be not found.
3. This is usually not reccomended for usabilty matters, users can easily decide if they want a link to open in a new window or not. In order to change this you need to edit the html inside partials/part-socials.php and add a ‘target=_blank’ attribute to the ‘a’ element.
4. Same as above but is located in inc/widgets-sidebar.php

Hi – me again. What I’ve noticed is the features within the theme cater more to individual posts, rather than reviews. What steps would I take to have a rating system incorporated into posts?
Reviews are a custom post type separated from regular posts, you could probably mix them with some plug-in that converts post-types (as I know some customers did that), I don’t guarantee for the results though.

Thank you for your quick replies, two follow-up questions:
1. Would I be able to hire you to combine the reviews post into regular posts, and when posting choose one I’m doing (video, audio, review, etc) so the corresponding image icon appears. The reasons are because a new review post doesn’t show on the homepage feed, my Disqus plugin doesn’t work on reviews only regular posts, the “Homepage Tabs” only show for posts, and I can’t use ‘tags’ for reviews. Correct me if I’m wrong on any of those.
2. The biggest issue with reviews vs regular posts is having new review posts show on the homepage, is there a way I can do this? The only way someone will know a new review was added is the “Review Showcase”.

1. I understand what your are saying, although many people prefer to have Reviews as a dedicated custom post type and that’s also how the majority of review themes work so I decided to go this way.
2. Well you also have all the sidebar widgets, and the Reviews showcase it’s pretty eye-catching imho.

Hi – have a two questions:
1. I would like to have the “Criteria” text boxes within the admin section already filled in. In other words, instead of typing each “Criteria”, I would that already filled in. I see it’s in the file “meta-review-options.php”
2. I can’t find within “content-single” or “single-mm-reviews” or where ever to edit these individually

This would be actually somekind of downgrade, although I understand it could be useful for blogs using always the same criterias. This is possible to achieve but you need to know a little coding or hire someone to do it for you.
Interested files are: partials/part-reviews-single.php, metaboxes/meta-review-options.php and single-mm-reviews.php.
