Actually, the theme has been designed for human and dating. But custom fields might allow to use the theme for other purposes.
Especially, we are going to improve all fields and functionality so that the theme could be used for any purpose.
Yes, you can add more fields in the gender field (Man, Woman).
It’s easy to use Divi or any other page builder. Just install the page builder, create all required pages with it. Insert our shortcodes in those pages. That’s it. Later, I can post a more detailed instruction how to create pages.
The theme pages have the DateBook template and cannot be edited. But pages created with page builder have its own templates and can be edited.

Hi. No way. This function is intended to be used in the theme only. Not in other page builders. This page has the “Template Name: DateBook template”.

I edited also the file in \plugins\datebook\framework\options.php and added extra lines, so stored in an array the settings in Datebook>Dashboard>pages and pagebuilder

The problem is:
1) you are trying to add your own function in the theme and the theme files. But adding an option in one place is not enough. You also should add several functions. It is not clear for me why you are adding your own options.
2) you add an option to select the Homepage in the theme options. But this is wrong. The Homepage must be selected only here: WordPress -> Settings -> Reading -> Your homepage displays.
3) you inserted the shortcode for the Search form in the Elementor Home page. Try to select the Elementor’s template. It seems you assigned a wrong template for the home page.
Here are 2 rules how to use shortcodes and pages:
- 1) If you want to create your own pages with Elementor or any other page builder:
- Create pages in Elementor. After that, you can insert the theme’s shortcodes in such pages
- Such pages must have the Elementor templates (Not “DateBook template”!). See screenshot https://ibb.co/qJ7KdCj
- 2) If you want to use the theme’s pages:
- The theme’s pages must have “DateBook template”.
- You cannot insert the theme’s shortcodes in such pages.
- You cannot edit those pages with any page builder.
- Theme’s pages are not editable. Because they do not have the_content();. Thus, those page cannot be editted in Elementor.

Yes you can use Elementor or any other page builder. You will be using the theme shortcodes. Just copy and paste the shortcodes in the Elementor’s page.

Hi! I have this problem: in the Datebook settings in the Favorites section, I can’t upload my background images for the profile. Although all the files have already been uploaded to the Wordpress library. I select several images for the profile background, click “Save settings”, the page is updated and no changes have occurred. Again I have to choose my background images and save the settings again – and again a failure! ( Please tell me what’s wrong? Maybe you need to edit some file? If so, which one and where? Before we renew support, client would like to ask… : Current issue is.. website will not go to login page, but normal.. after disabling all plugins. it worked fine, the culpret after trying to each is in fact the datebook plugin, it won’t allow for the login screen to come on and it redirects the site like this [ https://rosesandthornsmatchmakers.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Frosesandthornsmatchmakers.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1 ] Now I am stumped, so naturally I would reach out to you, but the client took forever and now support is over, I don’t know if this error is already in your KB or if it is the one pain in the buzz error. I checked your site. You did not complete the installation. That’s why you can not open the login page. The DateBook login page does not exist.
The theme protects the WordPress login page (wp-login.php and wp-admin). Yes, the theme redirects to its own login page. The theme login page must be created here: WordPress -> Pages. Notice: The login page must have the DateBook template.
Solution. 2 ways:
1) Create a login page here: WordPress -> Pages -> Add new. While creating a page, remember to select the DateBook template.
2) You can disable all this login functionality and open an access to the WordPress login page. Do it here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Security -> uncheck “Hide the WordPress Admin Login Page”.
Notice: it is better to complete the installation fully here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer -> do all three steps.
As you cannot log in normally at the current moment, now you must rename the DateBook plugin folder. After that you will be able to login again. This plugin folder: /wp-content/plugins/datebook
