I am using the Overlap theme and noticed an issue with the built-in lightbox on some of my portfolio single pages. On certain portfolio items (example: https://lunargraphic.hu/portfolio-item/kavezo-arculat/ ), the images in the lightbox open in their full size and require horizontal/vertical scrolling. On other portfolio items (example: https://lunargraphic.hu/portfolio-item/modern-webdesign-kozmetikusoknak/ ), the images open correctly, scaled down to fit the viewport.
There seems to be an inconsistency in how the lightbox handles images. I did not install Elementor or any other lightbox plugin, so this should be coming directly from the theme’s built-in Magnific Popup implementation.
Could you please advise how to ensure that all portfolio images are scaled down to fit within the viewport (verticalFit / contain), regardless of their original size?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with our theme. However, all images in the portfolio items from both links you provided are working fine on my end. They fit perfectly within the lightbox without any scrollbar.

Hello, When we updated the theme to version 1.6.1, the Theme Options disappeared in the admin dashboard. When that happened, the website logo became the Overlap logo. Is there a new update for the theme releasing soon?
Please ensure you’ve updated the Wyde Core plugin to the latest version.
Also, the new version of Theme Options requires Redux Framework plugin to work, after you update the theme, you will see a notification message on your WordPress admin page, click the link in the notification message, or navigate to Appearance -> Install Plugins to install it.

You will need to edit the template file “templates/navigation/header-nav.php” in your child theme to add a new menu icon next to the search.
However, I suggest that you should add it into the menu items of your Primary menu or Footer menu instead.
Also, if you’re using a multilingual plugin like WPML or Polylang, then you will find an option to add a language flag into the menu in the plugin’s settings screen.

Here are my answers to your questions:
1. As the menu icon option in this theme doesn’t include a language flag icon, then you will need to install a plugin like the Menu Image plugin which allows you to add an image to the menu item.
2. You will find the documentation in the main download package when you download “All files & documentation”. Or visit our online documentation in the link below: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/documentation/
3. We normally include the new version of bundled plugins in the new update of the theme. Anyway, you can manually update it right now by deleting the WPBakery Page Builder from your Plugins screen, then navigate to Appearance -> Install Plugins to install the new one from the bundled plugins list.

With version 1.5.8 everything runs great with Wyde Core 4.0.3! www.kids-express.de As soon as I update to 1.6.0 and Wyde Core 4.0.8 + Redux Framework nothing happens except the loading icon.
Where is the mistake?
It sounds like there was an error on your site so it couldn’t load the entire page. Try updating all of them again, then you will need to check the browser console to see if there is a script error. If there is no error in the browser console, it means the error is in your server side. Try checking the error log on your host web server, or give me the link to the page where the error occurs so I can check it for you.

I’ve updated to the most recent version of the theme. However it seems WP Bakery is broken on portfolio pages. It won’t show me the drag and drop builder to create content. Just the standard Wordpress editor. Kindly suggest how to fix this
By default, WPBakery Page Builder is available for pages only. You will need to select the post types to edit with the page builder under WPBakery Page Builder -> Role Manager -> Post types, change it to “Custom” and select “wyde_portfolio” to enable it on the portfolio page.

Just updated to latest version. Redux Framework shows up as “Recommended” in plugins. It is required. Without it, Theme Options disappears, including all changes made in it!
Actually, it depends on which aspect you’re focusing on. Of course, Redux Framework is required for theme options but the theme options are optional, you may install the theme without theme options. That’s why we’ve set the type of all bundled plugins including Wyde Core as “recommended”.
However, we will change it to “required” in the next update of the theme. Thank you for reporting this issue.

I just updated the Slider Revolution plugin for the Overlap theme. Please follow the following steps to update it to the latest version (6.6.20):
1. Deactivate, then delete the Slider Revolution from your Plugins screen. Don’t worry, this won’t affect your current data and settings.
2. After you delete it, you will then see a notification message with the link to install the new one. You can also navigate to Appearance -> Install Plugins to install the new one from the recommended plugins list.
You can also do the same steps to update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin.
Anyway, we will also include the latest version of all bundled plugins to the next update of the theme.

I have this latest version on my website for some time. This issue occurs when the plugin Wyde Core is activated while the the theme is active. the provider also says : You may also inform them that the issue is both on PHP 8, and 8.2.
Those errors are from Redux Framework that’s included in Wyde Core plugin. It seems like there is an invalid setting value in the theme options. You will need to click the “Reset All” button in the Theme Options panel to fix this issue.
However, clicking that button will reset your current theme settings to default values. If you’ve made changes to the theme options and would like to backup those values, then you will need to export them under Theme Options -> Settings -> Export Options.

This is an issue with the shop page when you choose to display both categories and products on the shop page. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We’re working on fixing it and will release the new update ASAP.
In the meantime, you may need to change the “Shop page display” option under Customize -> WooCommerce -> Product Catalog to “Show products” to work around this issue.

Instead, you can choose “Installable WordPress file only” so you can upload that file to install it on your site. I’m sorry but I’ve never seen this issue before. Everything is working fine on our site. Actually, the image carousel should automatically resize to fit the size of images in the carousel. It might be a lazyload plugin, try deactivating it to see if it works.

We’re sorry but the auto-update feature and the product activation option from WPBakery Page Builder plugin have been disabled by the theme. The WPBakery Page Builder plugin is one of the theme’s bundled plugins, it is included in the theme and it needs to be updated by us (the theme’s author). We usually include the new version of that plugin in the new update of the theme after we’ve tested and checked for any compatibility issue, as you can see in the changelog: https://themeforest.net/item/overlap-high-performance-wordpress-theme/15344205#item-description__update-log
If you activate the WPBakery Page Builder, then the auto-update feature would be enabled so you would have the new version of the plugin that hasn’t been tested with the current version of the theme. That’s why you couldn’t find the product activation option from WPBakery Page Builder when using this theme.
However, we will enable the product activation option for you in the next update of the theme so you can activate your purchase code. Also, if you’d like to enable it right now, then you can put the following code into functions.php in your child theme to achieve this:

There is a wrong product CSS class included in your single product layout. It shouldn’t be there. It is supposed to be in the products loop only. I’ve never seen this issue before and I’ve no idea why it only happens on your site.

We have downloaded the newest version of the theme (v1.56) but we are finding that it is still using jQuery code that was deprecated years ago. For example in “overlap/inc/metaboxes/js/metabox.js” you can see this code : $( window ).load( function() ... However the load function has been long deprecated and is supposed to be replaced with $( window ).on(“load”,function() ... Is the there a reason the newest theme is using deprecated code?
