Pagick, with this theme is it possible that I can have user types (or categories)? My site will be an all-women social site of bikers so i don’t need the male/female options in the search form. (By the way, i am using the current theme and like everyone else, I don’t have a gender custom field in the reserved fields section.) See here, please: https://ibb.co/p0fchbQ
1) How can i make this change on the search form, change the gender options from male and female to 3 options for Owners, riders/passengers and everyone.
2) How do i set up different user types (or categories) as either an owner or a rider/passenger? I’d imagine it would be a profile field, and searchable/linked to the search form so when someone selects they are looking for an owner, all the owner profiles will be returned.
Hi Darlene84. No, now profile types are not possible yet. But this wonderful feature is in our task list and will be added this year. I hope.
Gender is empty. Now, open that empty Gender field for editing. Enter this word “gender” in empty fields “Slug (optional) and “Title””. Save.
Do the same steps for the field “Sexual Orientation”.
1) You can change genders from Male to Owner easily. Do the following: Go here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields -> open the Gender field for editing -> replace “Woman, Man” with “Ownder, Rider” in the field “Field Items”.
2) Do the step 1 above. Replace genders “Woman, Man” with yours.

So i can use the demo 2 template, I imported the Brizy pages.xml file and it was imported. I then tried to import the Brizy templates.xml file and got this failed message, but at the bottom it says all done have fun. So which is it, did it work or not and if not, how do we make it work?

While I await your response, I am trying to edit the Brizy pages. The text in the headers and footers on all of the pages are really large and looks nothing like the demo page and even the main background image is not there. You should install and activate Brizy. After that, import 2 files (pages.xml and templates.xml) again.
Yes, Brizy displays different color and font sizes. You should manually correct them on each page and template.

No. Brizy page must not look like on your screenshot, with the very large text font. Something is wrong. Siteground loads its own CSS style which increases the font size.
Pagick, can we swap the main image on demo 1 for the main image on Demo 2? I like how demo 1 has the countries with the flags, but i like the main image on demo 2 better, as it has the search box on the right, not centered.

Pagick, it looks like your preference is that we use Brizy with this theme to edit the profile pages. Many of us already paid for Elementor Pro or other page builders.
What is the work-around here? Is there an easy way for us to comprehend how we can use Elementor Pro or other site builders to make this theme work for us the way we need our site to be? For me, do you have step-by-step instructions on how to edit the theme pages with Elementor?

You must call ‘the-content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

To send and receive mail, it may be necessary to add an MX record to the DNS editor, DKIM. Install the WP Mail SMTP plugin, will be able to work through php mail.
Just create an email account on your hosting server. No need to add MX record.
The only way to send email is to enter your email account data in the settings of the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

I’m following the demo on WordPress to see the proper settings. Your basic subscription titles show English, german, spanish, french, italian, dutch, russian and turkish as being “translated”, i guess, with the two green check marks. I only have English with two green check marks. How do i get green check marks on the other languages?

You should manually enter translation in other languages. For this, just click on a language to open/display an empty field. For example: click on French. After that, an empty field will be displayed where you can enter the title in French.
Two green marks mean: both title and description are filled in/translated.

The theme is very old and it works very slow. It does not go live on the website immediately. There is no mobile number option on the profile page. I think it needs improvement.
Yes. The theme is old. It was created in 2017. 6 years ago. For this period of time, lots of functions have been added. The themes can easily work on latest PHP 8.2+. Even some most popular dating sites cannot run on PHP 8.
Could you provide a link to your website so that everybody could see whether your site/server or our site is slow? You tested the theme on one server only? If yes, try to test absolutely on another server in another country.

Oh. You just activated the theme and it must go live without setup and display all pages, profiles, menus, list of countries/cities, classifieds and tours?
OK. I hope these answers will explain how the theme can work:
- Any site (especially WordPress) can not work without pages, menus and etc.
- The theme requires the default settings at least. Please, go here and save the settings: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard.
- Use our Theme Installer in the theme and will do all job for you. You do not need manually install anything. Pages, menus, demo profiles, demo classifieds, demo tours. Theme Installer is here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer.
The theme has a special field for phone number. You can find it here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> open a field “Phone”.
The datebook theme is very slow and does not go live on the website immediately. I think it needs an update.

Solution: you should install the WP Mail SMTP plugin. It always helps. In this case, your email messages will be sent on SMTP connection.

Hello, Just installed, everything is working but a user can’t register, after keying in the details and submitting, nothing happens, also, I am unable to upload images to the existing users’s profiles, after selecting the image and uploading, nothing happens. I entered the license. May not work because of wp version 6.3.1 ? Images are not attached, writes are not selected . Does not work on apache, cgi, PHP-FPM, php 7.4 and 8, the latest version of the template.
Hi. Did you install the theme data by help of Theme Installer? Use all three steps: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer.
Check if the home page was selected here: WordPress -> Settings -> Reading.
Re-enter the purchase code or activation code again, correctly here: WordPress -> DateBook -> License. Please, note, there are 2 fields: one for purchase code and second for activation code. Do not confuse them.
The DateBook theme perfectly and easily works on PHP 7+ and 8+, old and latest WordPress 6+, Apache server.
If nothing helps, then delete all pages fully and create them again here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer -> First step.

The user menu is not showing up on my live webpage, even after modifying and saving through the theme. The registration box is also not showing up on my site like it does on the theme. Any help would be appreciated.
If the user menu is not showing up, perhaps, you are not super administrator. Perhaps, you are administrator but with low level.
This issue will be fixed in the next update, very soon. In few days, the update will be available for download.
If the registration box is not displayed, then check if it was created here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms -> find the “Registration form” box.
If it was created, then select the “Registration” page, here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Pages -> Registration page.

I have used the theme installer. When I go to the Registration page, even after doing all of these steps, the only thing the Registration page has on it is the word settings. I have saved the form, and made sure the page was on my dashboard as registration.
If there is no design and style bar, then the documentation is now obselete. I would truly like a step by step guide on how to make my website somewhat resemble the theme I purchased.

Please, remove the Register button here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms -> open the “Search form on Front page” for editing -> remove the register button and add the “Search” button from the left sidebar.
