I downloaded a new theme.

Among the downloaded demo files, an error occurs due to a bug in the settings-data-16 file source of ‘Homepage Home 16 Games’.

I tested another demo ‘Home 08 – Large Catalogs’ and it did not produce any errors.

It is not a bug with our theme demo data. You see this issue because there are different code structure in 2 theme sources.

Some errors can appear when copying the code from Ella old version to paste into the newest version 6.5.0 because of header and footer in section groups. In the past, header and footer are included in index.json file but now it is not and we also made change in the settings of theme settings in this file: settings_data.json so copying from the old version can appear errors. Don’t worry we offer free support for this if you cannot handle.

Hi Ella theme support: Thank you for the superb theme and for the nice support. I am having one issue. In the product information I dont see any option to reduce/increase the image size. That is, when a customer opens an image on my website, he/she sees all the information like price, SKU, Vendor, buy now and the thumbnails and the main image. However, this main image (image that is displayed when we click the thumbnail) is big in size and as such the customer has to drag up and down to see the complete image. This is something we dont want..So, where can i modify the image ratio so that it is a bit smaller and the user does not have to go forward between clicking the thumbnail and then dragging the screen up and down to see the main image.

Hi, I saw in your product filtering demo that when I use a color as a filter, it shows me the main product but not the given color variant. This means that I want e.g. green, it shows me products that also have a green variant – but it does not convert the variant, the red variant remains on the product display. Is this a bug or intentional?

Hi, sorry but it looks like a bug. I looked at a few other templates that had it handled well. When I choose white in the filters, I want white products (variants) to be displayed. I don’t want black and the others.. It is enough that the white color is active in the selection of variants on the products

If you choose a color, it shows the activated color variants. We think you see it with product images not in that color because we don’t have the corresponding product images to assign for the colors on our demo store. We will make more product images to show it better for our customer’s test

But no difference between our theme and other themes as this theme is using the Shopify default filter function.

We only code to have an extra function “filter by tags” to serve for other demands.

If you want us to help you set up our demo again, we can set up for you to test on another demo tomorrow

Hi, I tried the demo again and when I click on the blue it looks for products that have the blue variant but doesn’t show it as active among the products. The size is the same. For our clothing store, it is necessary that when a person clicks on the blue color, the filter will show him blue variants, not red, black, etc.. Is it possible to improve the filter?

Hello. Any ideas on how i can reduce the spacing between products on collections “Grid Gap” ? It can be done in the product block but not in any other sections.

Hi, you can disregard my comment below asking for help concerning the currency not working properly. I found the solution by myself and want to help others with similar problems as i have seen posted here. For the converter to working properly and with the Calculator Free Shipping Message you have to go to your settings, Store Details and enter these two codes in the first two roades. where it says “HTML with currency” and “HTML without currency” it will probably look like this : ${{amount}} USD and ${{amount}}. Now all you have to do is insert this before: and this after : So that it looks like this for “HTML with currency” : ${{amount}} USD and for “HTML without currency” : ${{amount}} Thats all and your multiply currency will work just fine with or without using the Calculator Free Shipping. I hope this help poeple with the same problem i had.

Hi there, I am interested to buy your theme but I noticed that Breadcrumbs issue isn’t fixed in your latest updates. I found out about this issue after reading your reviews. Do you plan to fix it anytime soon? I have short listed a few themes and yours were on top but these few issues pointed on your review are important for new buyers.

For the breadcrumbs, it is not a theme issue. Our supporter replied to that review without providing clearly information about the breadcrumb.

In the past, the breadcrumb and URL work in an old structure, and then Shopify had updated this logic for better SEO, that is why we updated for our theme for a long time.

You can test on Dawn, or any top seller themes on Shopify theme store to see the same logic.

If there are some buyers still want to keep the old way of breadcrumb and URLs, we have to consider this as an option but by following shopify, it is not good for SEO

Hello. I just bought the theme and see right away that the currency (multiply) doesnt work as it should judging by your demo page. It only works if changed to (Shopify payment) Also like the other post under here, the free shipping option is kind of messed up. If i chose any other currency then USD then the amout will be totaly wrong and not transaled at all. If i set the (Calculator free shipping message) at 100 and changing currency to SEK then i will get free shipping for 10$ witch is equivalent to 100 SEK. That cant be right… I have had the Stiletto theme before and never orured this problem, it allways translated the right amout whatever currency was chosen. I need this to be fixed ASAP.

No its not from a demo, its from a live webpage belonging to a friend of mine who is strugling to set her store up. I have seen the theme ”Ella” in action and thats were i saw the problem with the free shipping alowing anybody to change currency ti get a cheaper free shipping as 100 SEK is only 10 USD but the theme treats it as it was 100 usd and alows free shipping. Another thing i saw on her theme is that the ”multiple currency” was not working at all, only shopify currency was working. The Free Shipping is crucial though because that will make shopowner to lose money on that bug. I have bought 2 shopify themes last 6 months and they work flawless in tjia matter, what ecer currency you chose they will translate the right amount correctly. What is she supose to do to make that issue work as suposed??

For the 2 issues you said on your friend’s website, we cannot determine it and tell you here. To check an issue, we must have the admin login access. Please tell your friend to create a ticket to verify the theme license and create a staff account.

An issue can come from many factors like custom code, wrong setup, conflict with apps… we cannot just give an answer here.

And for your decision to buy our theme or not, you can test the theme on our demo store.

Another way you can help your friend is tell her to download the newest theme source and check if there is any difference between her source and the original theme source. Thanks
