Hi there how are you respected author of Qalam news theme, I have just now purchase the qalam theme and installed and activated main and child theme and after that when i was installin the plugins one plugin is creating issue named “Wp Reviews”. when i going to install its showing error that “Something went wrong with the plugin API.” I have tried to find the documentation but there is no documention file or link availave in the theme files, so please reply me asap because I am in trouble and my client is waiting for me to done everything today.

However, coming to your query, your website shows mixed content. i.e. both http and https content is being loaded. If you fix this, the icons will show correctly. Some google fonts are being served from your website’s /wp-content/uploads/elementor/google-fonts/fonts/ folder. These are loaded via http instead of https. Changing these to https will solve the issue.

Thank you for purchasing the theme. You can place the WPML language switcher shortcode inside top bar’s left or right side callout text. Kindly follow these steps for implementation:
1. Navigate to WordPress admin’s Appearance > Customize > Header
2. From the “Top bar right section”, choose “Custom Text”.
3. Next, paste the following shortcode inside the custom text field:
[wpml_language_selector_widget]
4. Save these changes and exit the customizer.
This shall display the language switcher dropdown on top right side of the website.

The tiktok social icon is currently not available in the social links or social sharing. I will add this in an upcoming update. Meanwhile, you can place the icon separately inside the “Custom text” option in the left side of the top-bar by using the code below:

Are you installing the entire download package or “installable WordPress file only”. Make sure you unzip the main download and use the qalam.zip file which is the installable theme archive.
The 400 error could be a server side issue. You can confirm this by trying to upload any other theme.

Since the last update the style on my home page is not working properly and I have made no changes. When the page first resolves it looks ok for just a moment, then all of the fonts change incorrectly. I opened the home page in elementor and resaved it, and I cleared the cache. Any thoughts? I’ve noticed that my website, which uses the Qalam theme purchased from envato, is having problems loading CSS. As far as I can see, the problem is also reproduced on the theme’s demo page. I also have an issue with the title and tagline showing up on my website even when I hide them. I’m guessing it’s the same issue for everyone.

Thanks for your quick response. In case it helps, I’ve found that the problem occurs when I include the ‘WP Post Modules’ widget. When I add this widget on any page all the CSS (I use elementor) gets out of configuration.

In the demo, in every single post.. at the start of article, Highlights are displaying as bullet points, How to add this section to the single articles?
then when sharing to sociall accounts, only the link is being sent. I want excerpt or first few words from article or meta description and article title sent along with the url when clicked on any share button. so there would be some text in the share box.

Thank you for your interest in the Qalam theme. Please find my answers below:
1. Yes, you can update Header and Footer. The header area has some 3-4 design options in which you can choose layout style, add logo, menu, shopping cart and social icons. Footer area is widgetized. You can add widgets of your choice inside the footer area.
2. Theme name is written inside style.css file. It will not show anywhere on the frontend.
3. Support is provided for any kind of installation issue, bugs and errors faced due to the theme. Third party plugin issues are not resolved by me, but if I detect such issues, I tell customers to contact relevant plugin author. Installtion and setup is not done by me.
4. Yes, you will get the installable theme zip archive andalso the complete download (main theme, child theme).
5. One regular licence can be used for single site only. For each new site, you need a separate regular licence.
6. You can show ads using a Text or HTML widget inside any of the widget areas or inside the main content area. Menus are editable. Color options are also available for various elements. Creating a page is a WordPress feature which you already get if you have WordPress installed.
If you do not have WordPress installed on your server, I would recommend doing so first. You will get an approximate idea of how pages, posts and categories work.

Sorry for the delay in response. Yes, we have a posts slider which you can use in any page. The post modules created using the WP Post Modules widget in Elementor has an option for enabling the slider on posts. Some areas like the Header, footer, sidebar, widget areas, etc. are not imported in the dummy data. Those need to be configured manually.
In ordert o configure the footer area, navigate to Appearance > Widgets. There you shall see widget areas for the footer. You can add links, text, images or any widget of your choice. Please also see FAQ no. 2 and 3 inside the documentation.

Kindly check by deactivating the caching plugin entirely. I still do not see the style.css file on your site. Also make sure the WP Post Modules plugin is updated to the latest one as bundled.

I updated the WP Post Modules and disabled the cache as you suggested. The share button on the post is now updated but the top menu bar still has the old icon. Any other ideas?

If you intend to use this theme without Elementor, you will need to separately buy the WP Post Modules (Gutenberg Block) in order to make Home pages as in the live demo.
If you choose Elementor, you get the WP Post Modules (Elementor version) free with this theme.
