General licensing/support question: I was the web designer for a site using the Offbeat theme (and I hold the license), however the client no longer needs my services for updates. If they purchase their own new license, would they be able to ask you support questions regarding the site and customization requests (using the new purchase code)?

When is a new update coming? The last update was Sept 2021!

The theme will be updated, however, at the moment we don’t have an ETA when the update will come out.

If you need latest version of any bundled plugin you can contact us through this email (just add your purchase code in the mail) and our support agents will provide you with latest version.

This is some questions for pre-buying. I want to know that this theme won’t be update anymore? Can I replace OpenTable booking with others, because OpenTable account is not free?

Kindly be advised that our development team is diligently engaged in ongoing updates for all of our themes. Presently, we don’t have any ETA for when the new update will come out but we hope it will be released soon. :)

As for booking functionality, we can not guarantee for any other plugin, since we haven’t tested it. The theme is tested with with OpenTable reservation system and we can guarantee for it.

Hi Edge-Themes,

I tried to create a Ticket, but the website gives me the message that the Purchase Code is not valid when it is effectively valid.

That is why I am posting my question here.

When I place the reservation form on a page, a button with “TICKETS” appears on each line. I would like to change “TICKETS” to another word.

In your documentation you speak of a file in the Language folder, but I can’t find the word “TICKETS” in there anywhere.

You also mention a file “en_US.po” in the theme folder/languages/ but this does not seem to exist? In that folder I only find the file “offbeat.pot”.

Hello,

When you click on the “Submit a Request” link in header, you should fill in the form as shown in screenshot. First enter your purchase code, then select the profile (in this case Edge) and then theme.

To translate/change any label inside the theme or bundled plugin please try following instructions from this article – How To Use The Loco Translate Localization Plugin. If you cannot locate some label inside the theme please try adding translation for Offbeat Core plugin or other bundled plugins and search for labels there.

I really like your theme, but I have a presale question: How do you manage the events? Is it possible for example to use the events calendar plugin? Or is it an own solution? If so, is it possible to add recurring events? (This would be a killer feature for us), thanks for your response!

The start and end date need to be entered manually, so you would need to update the start and end date when necessary.

But I cannot create recurring events? For example “every Saturday 6pm til 11pm”?

There isn’t a specific option for this, however, it can be achieved with a few workarounds, like hiding the date in the list with some custom css and adding ““every Saturday” in the title of the event.

HI i m trying to change te hover color of the links in footer but it seems its not possible with the theme i can only change the color

I dont see it in option or in inspect element the color red pops out so i can change it in customiser.

Any idea where i can change the hover color (red/orange) of a link?

Site is breaking with an update to php 8.0. Your last update was in 2021. When will your next update be?

The bigger question is when will this be compatible with php 8.0. This is a question for all since servers are auto updating soon!

Hello. Im having an issue with the google maps not working. Its giving me 2 errors: 1. Loading the Google Maps JavaScript API without a callback is not supported: 2. js?key=AIzaSyAPr7trfbo1BCJnBJ1TjQ25wAc22H2NJqg&ver=6.1.1:80 Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API First time i encounter these erros. The map is working but showing the default location of the theme.

We recommend checking this article – How To Generate And Use The Google Maps API Keys. Also try going to Developer Console > APIs & auth > APIs. Search for Geocoding and click on Google Maps Geocoding API > Enable API. Do the same thing for Geolocating.

This does not apply to the Offbeat theme. There are NO OPTIONS for logo height, only header height which does not effect the logo size.

I am checking this theme to purchase. Because I liked that. Only wonder about ticket selling.

You mentioned above in the “compatible with” section that a plugin “Events Calendar” is compatible with this theme. Is that event list in the theme is made with this plugin?

And can I use the “Event ticket & registration” plugin with it?

Events are custom post types added by the theme. Our theme is compatible with the following plugin.

There are a lot of plugins available and it is not possible to test our theme with all of them. Our main focus is to help with built-in theme functionalities and supported plugins. We cannot give you an exact recommendation as we haven’t tested such plugins with the Offbeat theme and we cannot guarantee its 100% functionality. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello, I bought this theme (very good and functional) some time ago now. However, no update of the theme and its accounts has been done. We are now at Wordpress 6.1.1 (update I’m doing, for security reasons), and it’s starting to have accounting issues. For example, I can not change the footer. Any solutions without having to pay $80 support for something that should be normal?

Does the events page have a grid view as well as the list view?

The Event List is added with the “Offbeat Event List” shortcode which has an option to set list type to standard, simple and thumbs (please see screenshot). The “thumbs” list type will list events as images in grid.

I downloaded this theme, then uploaded the ‘installable Wordpress file only’ and it’s missing the css files. So then, I tried uploading ‘all files’, but still nothing, no css files and no way top start working and using a demo version of the particular template I needed. I’ve tried opening a ticket, but there is no response. How do I get my $70 refunded??

I’ve tried all the suggested methods which were listed in the previous email; uploading the correct file via Wordpress and C-Panel did not work as suggested as I still am unable to access the css style folder and get a working demo version going.

I keep trying this, but no css style, as I have no demo version. Also how do I reach out to the author? I tried registering with their support but they never responded. I can’t open a ticket because they have to approve my request.
