What would you say are the big differences between this theme and WoodMart? I mean you guys already built the perfect theme (WoodMart), how can you even compare anything else to it. Is this one more feature rich? Less feature rich? Or is it a design thing?

Thank you for your question. In general, WoodMart is our flagship theme with the most advanced functionality. This particular theme is made for a small niche, doesn’t have Gutenberg and WPBakery page builders (Elementor only), and lacks some features from WoodMart. But still a powerful and optimized theme with a unique design.

Unfortunately, because of the incompatible nature of the HTML Blocks between the themes has become a big issue for not being able to switch to Woodmart.
And, merging Space Themes back to xtemos left these themes released under Space Themes rendered obsolete for the update reasons, while Woodmart getting everything, Hitek doesn’t get any attention in the terms of available updates.
So, one is stuck waiting for the updates available for Woodmart to reflect on Hitek, but at the same time can’t use the HTML Blocks feature that is left from Hitek with Woodmart to get the latest features. Especially, Gutenberg. Waiting for that since the release of the first version with another theme name.
If the custom HTML Blocks registered as normal WordPress posts, then that would eliminate the incompatibility.
Hoping the Gutenberg update is coming soon. Or, never?

Hitek gets its own updates and has a different set of features compared to WoodMart. Our Space themes are based on Elementor and currently we don’t have plans to integrate other builders. While WoodMart supports three: WPBakery, Elementor and Gutenberg.

Yes, of course, it’s not abandoned (but slow development compared to Woodmart). But, it definitely doesn’t help for the users that would like to switch to block editor.
So there will be no way to use this theme with the block editor at all? The gutenberg compatibility tag should be removed.
It’s a mess when trying to write something in the block editor because the theme styles are not reflected in the editor.
I’ve made a bad choice by choosing this theme when it was Vega on spacethemes. Thought this was a move to create something more comprehensive. That didn’t work out for Xtemos, so it’s been axed.
After that, the whole focus went into the main product, Woodmart.
Anyway, ranting here. Good job as always from Xtemos team by providing these themes.
I had a hope one day the block editor would be available for the Hitek theme, but that hope is gone forever.

Thank you for the feedback. Our themes are compatible with default Gutenberg blocks. But if you want to use our theme’s elements you see on our demo, you need to install Elementor. If you want to build the same as our demo but entirely with Gutenberg, you need to go with WoodMart

Yes, but we can’t use the HTML Blocks created with Hitek in the Woodmart.
Even if I’m using Elementor, it doesn’t matter. The moment that the switched the Woodmart, all the HTML Blocks are gone.

i found it but Woo Brand can’t design with elementor as yours, now when i use your theme (Product Brands) element(widget) then when i click on any Brand it not working. ex: domain.com/brand/panasonic/ -> won’t work, wp show not found page.
By deselecting our theme’s brand attribute, all elements will display WooCommerce brand’s taxonomy. So you are able to display it with Elementor in the same way.
before woo update Brand. i use attributes as Brand by Products > Attributes > Brand > Samsung. my url will work as Domain.com/brand/samsung is working but after woo new update Brand build-in it won’t work. i saw woo Products > Brand has no Brand as same i create in Attributes so i think this won’t work when i use theme Element Product Brand (widget). after patch 629697 still not work unless i change permalinks to Plain but i want it Post Name it still won’t work again.
If you want to use our theme’s brand you need to change the core WooCommerce brand permalink slug to something different. You can do this in Settings -> Permalinks.
The latest update broke the mega menu alignment that is using HTML Block with Elementor.
The calculation seems to be 2-3 pixels short.
I can’t find a way to fix this with CSS.

and you reply is “The problem appeared after a new Elementor update, the custom is temporary when the theme update is released – it will be fixed”, so its great when u can update your theme to fix all these issues, we felt like u r abandoned this project already. more updates in woodmart, but not hitek, so disappointed with your reply actually.
This bug has been already fixed in our patch 599608. Try to apply it on your website and test how it works. We never abandon our themes. We are working on a new update that will be released in a few weeks.

Wooow. The last update was february. The theme has some issues, so please add some tweak via “Patches” if you dont want to make a complete update.
- The “new” (not new) Elementor container has another logic than the old. Exampe it has every container padding. Your theme is not working great together with this. - Woocommerce has LOTS OF outdated template files! - In query monitor found some warning/error message with Elementor and hitek combo. If I change the theme, these errors are gone. - Theme has some comapitbility issue with the Elementor “New” (not new…) optizimation solutions. - The widget builder section has some glitch, compatibility error with the “New” wordpress blocks editor and the Theme’s legacy old widgets. (example hasnt got previews)
And in my opinion is very sad, that the theme dont have any dynamic options in 2024, only if I have Elementor pro. (same in custom css)

Hi! Is it abandoned theme from Xtemos? No updates, no new features. We don’t know anything about the compatibility of new Elementor features, we don’t know anything about the compatibility of new woocommerce versions. This is not the attitude we are used to from the Xthemos team (we also have several woodmart licenses.)

(woodmart is same the template elements didnt changed to felxbox container scheme, but hitek dont have any templates… :-D)
Only Hitek (& some woodmart too) Features: Dont have custom css option in elementor editor (only with elementor pro edition) Dont have any dynamic option the theme with Elementor free. (example dynamic widget similar than jetengine)
Only have the single product page custom editing and nothing other like woodmart. (archives, cart, chekcout, ect)
Sidebar widges only the old version! It is have lots of problem in backend. (not working the widget name option, dont have preview mode, ect)
Theme not use and not working fluid typo, calc, clamp, ect. Only static pixels with fixed breakpoints.
Hitek core plugin dont have any built in simple form example for contact, only 3rd party plugin (like CF7)
We bought this theme (after bought some woodmart licenses) when it released 1.0 because we hoped the developing and new features speed will be same like woodmart, but no…. The new release usually has only fixes or very few and simple new features. But woodmart has this features yet.
On the other hand the future is gutenberg, but you dont have any ETA to port the theme and own widgets to gutenberg.

Our themes don’t have custom forms functionality including WoodMart.
Currently, we don’t have plans to implement Gutenberg as a primary page builder for the Hitek theme. Elementor will be the only option.

In the last WooCommerce update, they bumped versions for some files and that is why this notice appears. You don’t need to worry and simply ignore it since our theme doesn’t have any problems or incompatibility issues with the latest version of the plugin. We will update these files in our next theme release and this message will disappear.

I wondered the same as nvr21. Woodmart gets all the love, but space themes development is not close at all.
The only thing that I’m excited about is the Gutenberg (full) compatibility. If it happens at all. But, I guess having Elementor provides more finance.
Instead of a one-time purchase, I could subscribe to a block system developed by Xtemos for their themes. Imagine that. Like Apple. Having full control over hardware and software gives them an edge.
