On the portfolio page I have varying image/text sizes, as a result the next line does not all start on the same horizontal line and instead just follows on from the item above. Is there a simple way to force a new line to all start at the same level?

Hi, unfortunately it’s not really possible. You can only set fixed height for each items’ description but it’s not perfect solution.
Which attribute do I need to set to achieve a fixed height description?

To what size you want? I would recommend to put images in skeleton:

There’s no other way to do it if you still want to have responsive images also.

The width of the contact page is not perfect as the textarea is wider than the width of the screen when I was using my phone.
You can modify text area’s width in Media Queries (bottom of she style.css).
When I use my mouse to slide the index page left (Apple Magic Mouse can slide left and right), it will be like that: http://i.imgur.com/EgZeu.jpg And I make sure that the issue is from the flexslider (because other page without flexslider doesn’t). But when the mouse is hovering on the flexslider, the page will not slide like that in the image, while when not, it would be. I think it doesn’t matter as few people will not do that but it is still a issue you have to modify.

I have a site that is using this lovely theme and I have chosen to use the Revolution Slider. I have an interesting scenario in which I am looking to have each slide have text to the left and the same embedded video on the right hand side of all 6 slides. Right now the video slightly transitions in and out of each slide. Is there a setting that will make it appear that the video is not changing or moving whatsoever.
If anyone has some insight or recommendations, that would be great.

Would you please consider updating the $tabsNav logic in your custom.js to not only set the active tab, but also preload the content within that tab? I’ve found that specifying the .active class is not enough and that it will still set the first tab active as well as whatever other tab I set active, and it will only preload the content for the first tab as well.
Here is a quick fix I did which allows me to do what I’m looking for, but will require you to explicitly set the .active class on both the tab (.tabs-nav li) itself and the .tab-content
