This notice is not for the Kamera theme and it is not for the Edge CPT plugin included with the theme. It is for Edge CPT plugin included in one of our other themes (Goodwish theme). We are sorry if there’s been any misunderstanding because “Edge Core” or “Edge CPT” is name used for core plugins inside several different themes. It seems that the notice is displaying wherever there is Software Slug called “edge-core” regardless of the theme. So instead of this notice displaying only for Goodwish theme where this specific Edge Core plugin was used, it is mistakenly shown for all theme that have “edge-core” Software Slug.

On a portfolio page, I want to apply a different sidebar layout but whatever option I choose, the layout is not applied to the page. Even when I select ‘No Sidebar’, the same sidebar is still displayed. This seems to be a bug but I don’t want to renew support just for notifying you about this.

The portfolio post layout will depend on the “Portfolio Type” you choose. This can be done globally in Edge Options > Portfolio > Portfolio Single and also locally for individual portfolio posts in post settings. Local post options will override global theme options.

I’m using the Small Images portfolio type. I tried to submit a ticket but get an error message that my support license has expired and don’t want to renew support only for notifying you about a possible bug. Additionally: the documentation provided with the theme is extremely basic, there is, for example, no information on which options are available for a specific portfolio type.

Are you planning to update this theme any time soon?
I am not sure it is works well under latest wordpress updates. For example, the logo does not appear anymore in the sticky header, and we haven’t changed a thing. Also, the wp bakery plugin version is very old, 6.10.0 when the latest is 8.4.1.

I have had this theme for a while and i have never used the support, there is a problem with the theme which i have sent you the information about the problem. This is the first time that i am asking for support and the support has not been good so far all i am asking is to look at the problem and you are asking me to pay £58.63 which seems a lot, considering i might not use the support again for a while, I have another website which i had a problem and that author was a lot more helpful, no problem i will probably forget this whole theme

I am not asking how to use the theme options, there is something wrong with the theme and it is nothing to do with the theme options, it is the way how the theme is displaying which is not right due to a theme problem, anyway you said i used the support in 2021, 5 years ago, so i have manage to solve all the problems with this theme myself and not contacted the support. Anyway i don’t think i am asking much for you to look at the problem and report back to me, but don’t worry i have decided to find another up to date theme and support which i hope will be more helpful.

The line is due to the incorrect height for Title Area. You can set a higher value for Title Area height or add padding for content of the page. Both Title Area height and page padding can be set through page options which are covered in the documentation. The cart widget on your site is not by the theme. Widget by the theme is named “Edge WooCommerce Dropdown Cart”. Widgets are also covered in the documentation here.

I have issues on PHP and also on jquery deprecations. It’s not compatible with latest version of WP because your theme is not supporting jquery version 3.x.x but only jquery 1 legacy.

I get errors when running the Kamera theme on PHP8.0 or higher, here are some lines from the log file:

The Edge CPT version is 1.2. In Edge CPT, I’ve updated the plugins (like WPBakery) but still get the error. I’ve noticed the error occurs a portfolio item. When creating a new portfolio item, I get a friendly error message on the page under “Edge Additional Portfolio Sidebar Items” and a whole bunch of warnings in various files but also a fatal error : Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, string given in /public_html/wp-content/themes/kamera/framework/lib/edgt.layout-part2.php:1939”
Also, with PHP 7.4 I see a warning in the log when creating a new portfolio item: “Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /wp-content/themes/kamera/framework/lib/edgt.layout-part2.php on line 1939”

Hi, would be great to know if there are plans to update the woocommerce side of things for this template, along with the latest wpbakery version (7.1) that apparently has major security updates? I updated to the latest wordpress + woocommerce and I have the following health check errors with the KAMERA theme: kamera/woocommerce/cart/cart.php version 7.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 7.9.0, kamera/woocommerce/cart/shipping-calculator.php version 4.0.0 is out of date. The core version is 7.0.1 kamera/woocommerce/global/quantity-input.php version 7.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 7.8.0, kamera/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php version 3.5.1 is out of date. The core version is 7.8.0,

I’ve faced an issue with Installing Plugin: Envato Market. All other plugins were installed one by one successfully. Envato Market was failed with a comment: “Downloading installation package from /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/kamera/includes/plugins/envato-market.zip… Download failed. Could you please let us know which PHP version are you using? If you are using PHP 8.1 please note that we haven’t tested the theme with this version yet. We recommend using the theme with PHP 8.0 or PHP 7.4.
Also once you install the theme and navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins to install the plugins, please note that it is recommended to install and activate plugins one by one. If you bulk install and activate plugins all at once this could create issues.

It was the PHP version. I changed it to PHP 7.4 and website is working. I have another issue now. If user isn’t administrator (for e.g. Editor, Author etc.) cannot update metaboxes values. Thanks for your reply. I tried changing PHP to 8.0 and even to 7.4, but that didn’t help. Also, when looking at the demos, there are no gallery pages that use or have the Category Filter enabled (if I’m mistaken, please provide me with URL to a sample page). Could you maybe try enabling it in any of the demo Gallery pages and see if it works?

We’ve tested it on our local installation and it is displayed as in screenshot.
The gallery in question is displaying “Landscape” category (see screenshot) which is a parent category for the “Subcategory 1” and “Subcategory 2” (see screenshot).
This is how the category and subcategory are assigned to gallery posts on our localhost – screenshot.

OK, thanks for this. After some playing around I found out that the category filter only works with the Gallery List Template set to “Gallery”. When set to “Masonry”, Array is displayed. Could you please test the Masonry template in your local installation? Thx a lot!

You can update WordPress to the latest version, just make sure to use this plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version.
Newer WordPress versions introduced block based widgets feature, so we do recommend using this plugin which reverts widgets back to classic as a temporary solution until we add compatibility with block based widgets.
We are constantly working on updating all of our themes. At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out, however you will be notified via email when the new update is online on ThemeForest.

The update from 2nd September didn’t affect theme files.
We didn’t include compatibility with WP 5.8 just yet, however, we are working hard on adding it. You can also try using this Classic Widgets plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version.
