I made a crucial mistake that led to a traffic drop, but the potential for success was huge.” The mistake happened when he switched to a directory-styled homepage, after having a successful magazine homepage and a (simple) directory inside the site, It is a really good video and I am glad I found it now because I am starting a new project transforming my (local) magazine in a directory. But the point is: Should I keep my magazine homepage? Can I do that with Listingpro (and Elementor)?

I got a error 500 when using elementor widget “Edit Listing”. Everything is fine when I removed the widget, but I need the edit listing page.

I already reupload the theme files. I also googled by copy and paste the error log and found out that several webs got this error too.

SOLVED by switching to parent theme, deactivated listing pro plugins, deleted the plugins and reinstalled them.

Hi, I am also considering to move from another plugin/theme combination. I see that it comes with many detailed features, but also a lot of visual glitches on the demos. Support seems responsive, but it is a shame that if these errors also occurs on production and not being fixed in the releases. I don’t see that much new features. Just bugfixes and security patches for a long time for this package. I am not sure if I should invest in since there is no tangible upcoming features. I also have some questions: - If I use Google API for the “where field” in the search form and user types his location manually and DO NOT click the suggested locations or modify it, does it still find the listings from that location? In the demo it can’t. It seems like only exact match with locations. For instance if there are listings for “Fake City” and if I type only “Fake” it doesn’t show the listings in “Fake City” location. Am I wrong? - In my country there are many sub cities. If I choose my location it gets the sub city. However it doesn’t show any listing from surrounded cities on the demos. - There are a few pre-defined food delivery services in the menu feature. Can I add more local delivery services or rename them at least? - There is no sort by distance sorting option - No option to add custom fields to events, even with eventpro addon - Dynamic message on the home page banner is cool, but my directory is for one specific country. It still shows if the user is outside of the country. So I would not like to show “Discover New York” text in my country, because it is one of the EU countries only. Is there a way to limit it based on the country selection of the plugin? - What fields do Fill-O-Bot fill in automatically? If it tries to fill in categories, and if these categories don’t exist in the directory, what will happen? Can I stop auto fill categories? - Can IntelliSearch search in features (e.g pet allowed etc) in the auto suggestions? Or only tags, titles and description fields? - In the recent activities section of the owner dashboard it shows “user clicked on your website link at”, but if I hover on it it shows “Country: City: Zip:” tooltip without any actual city, country and zip. That is weird. Why is that? - Can I modify the announcements in the owner panel like “Did you know you can generate 10x leads”? - Can I use the restaurant menu features to list services with prices and images? - Why is there a Click to GET button on the nearby filter? 1. Google API for the “where” field: When you start typing in the “where” field, Google location suggestions will appear. If you don’t select any of these suggestions and just type manually, the system sends an empty string in the search query. This means that it won’t search based on the location you typed. To ensure the city name is included in the search, you’ll need to select a location from the suggestions that Google provides as you type..
2. The system currently doesn’t show listings from surrounding cities if only a sub-city is chosen. This is a known limitation, and while you can refine the search options, expanding to include nearby cities would require customization.
3. You can absolutely add or rename food delivery services in the menu feature. This gives you the flexibility to localize the options based on the services available in your area.
4. In listingpro there is a feature “Near me” which will filter the listings within the set range of Distance.
5. Adding custom fields for events is not supported by default, even with the EventPro addon. However, depending on your requirements, custom development or using additional plugins might be a solution.
6. Currently, the dynamic message on the homepage banner doesn’t limit messages by country. It’s designed to rotate through predefined options. This can change to be a static message by writing a place name in theme options which will not change according to the user’s location
7. When you will use “Fill-O’Bot” then all the info associated with the business you have fetched will display in the boxes of submit listing page if the title will same.
In case of category, the name is same but the function and the behavior of categories in our theme and associated with business is not matched that’s why the category will not auto select and you need to select the category from the dropdown, Only existing categories on your site will work then
8. In Listingpro Features can be used as search filters but not in main search.
9. When you hover over the listing link, a popup appears displaying placeholder text, which indicates the link to the listing. You can change this placeholder text using the Loco Translate plugin..
10. Yes, you can modify or remove the default announcements like “Did you know you can generate 10x leads” by using Loco Translate Plugins.
11. You can definitely use the restaurant menu features to list services, including prices and image. It’s flexible enough to work for various types of listings beyond food services.
12. The “Click to GET” button is designed to provide a more intentional action for users to share their location.

Hola tengo un problema con el tema, lo compre hace aprox 1 mes, ya lo finalice, pero tengo 2 errores y no se como organizarlos, el primero es que en las reacciones de las calificaciones (me divierte, like, me gusta) cuando le doy click en cualquiera de estas me aparece error, lo segundo es que no entiendo por que el horario de todos los listados me aparece cerrado, he hecho muchas variaciones en el horario pero sigue apareciendo cerrado, he tratado de comunicarme con el soporte del tema y me ha sido imposible, no me responden, se cae la pagina de soporte, etc. Por favor espero que me puedas ayudar, muchas gracias

I’m looking to build a pure directory website, without prices. The listings will be redirecting to the listing sources own websites (i.e. a business directory where each listing has a link button to the business’ own website).
Question 1: Is it possible to disable prices and/or pricing ranges altogether? It will not be relevant to the directory website we’re building.
Question 2: Is it possible to disable the feature for people to create their own listings?
Question 3: Is it possible to do bulk upload/import of listings?

Sorry this time I have problem I can’t figure out. When My website visitor comes to my listingpro s(appointment ad-on) they are automatically redirected to a sign in page. There is no where for them to sign up as a regular user without having an active listing themself. The only way I am able to do the booking is if I am logged into my admin panel and I click booking it lets me book. Any suggestions on how to fix to where any visitor can book appointment? Thanks

The PayFast addon is a third-party integration that is developed and maintained separately, which is why it’s not included by default with ListingPro and needs to be purchased separately. While WooCommerce does offer a free PayFast plugin, ListingPro’s built-in payment system is designed for direct integration with select payment gateways.
While it’s possible to use WooCommerce for payments, we don’t recommend using it with ListingPro. The theme comes with its own integrated payment system that is optimized specifically for directory-related functionalities. Using WooCommerce alongside it might lead to conflicts or unnecessary complexity.

Headsup to dev team. I purchased another licence for a client, but couldn’t activate the theme. Then i did a bit of a workaround in inspector and html to remove the classes, and it went trough with new licence. Then Yellowpro plugin was installed, it asked to get active theme, classes do not change and thats a red flag, please do release an update as this is bugging, not to mention couple of issues with the Pets directory that i own and run, its apsurd it started recently and major things stopped working!

I’m looking for a theme that will fit my requirements. It will be a platform where vendors can sign up their own page. The listings will be categorized in “editions” e.g. “Q1 edition” where I, the website owner, set a specific end date.
For example: Edition 1 is on March 31st Edition 2 is on June 30th Edition 3 is on September 30th Edition 4 is on December 31st
The vendors add a listing to the website, till the end of the upcoming edition. For example: if it’s now February 10, you can only create a listing for the First edition, and your listing will become inactive on March 31st.
The payment options will be in 3 different types: One off payment, e.g. $50 Subscription: Quarterly payment, e.g. $40 that will be payed every 1st date of a new edition Subscription: Yearly payment, e.g. $150, starting the 1st date of their new year. So if you sign up on October 5th 2024, your next payment will be on October 1st 2025.
At the end of every edition, the listing becomes inactive. The vendors have to check and republish their listing to show up for the next edition.
