Although the contact form works and sends emails, it is still mainly for design purposes. If you want additional functionality, you have to add them yourself.
Ive been buying templates here since 2010, you are virtually alone in assuming Captcha should be an extra not provided by the authors, it makes your forms useless to those who dont know – or wish to know – how to edit mail processing forms.

I am in total love with the look of Sepia and am going to buy it when it has been updated. Bootstrap v3.4.1 is significantly outdated, and using it in new projects or maintaining it in existing ones is not recommended due to lack of official support and potential security risks. Can you advise roughly when you will have an updated version available?

Hi, I bought this template back in 2018, its still going strong but Im going to update it for the client, is there a simple way to do this, do I need to buy a new version, and for the newer version (2023) is there a list of updated files so I dont have to re-create all the site pages but just upload new js, css theme perhaps? Unfortunately, because of the nature of the HTML template, it is impossible to use dynamic features to update the template. All code changes and updates must be made manually. All updated root files will be overwritten.
You can use some file comparison software if needed to compare the differences between the old and new template versions. For example: https://winmerge.org/

Currently v3.4.1. An update is planned, but it is difficult to say the date. It takes time. Much needs to be rebuilt. You can still use the current version.

Here are some points that might be helpful:
1) Before using the contact form, please make sure that your server supports sending an email. Contact your hosting provider for more information. 2) Please make sure the file “mail.php” exists in the template root folder. 3) Please make sure that your valid email address is correct (where a message will be sent). 4) Please also check your spam folder.

Hi! I’m really interested in your template and I just want to make sure this is the right choice before I purchase. I have some basic html and css skills, but only about really basic things, and I’m wondering if this will lead me to problems when trying to put content inside my site (to instert my own photos, write some blog posts, create additional portfolios… NOT changing the way how page looks). ok so i had a look at a gallery carousel file …
and i had a look at one of my archived collections (450 files strong) ...
to create a sepia html gallery of my collection would take some effort …
am i right or am i wrong …

Because of the nature of the HTML template you have to do everything manually. Unfortunately. Therefore, it may be annoying to handle such a number of files. In your case, I think it’s better and easier for you to use WordPress version of Sepia (from another author): https://themeforest.net/item/sepia-photography-portfolio-wordpress-theme/21542015

Cant get videos to work from youtube. I pasted my youtube video link into the gallery-carousel html page. It doesnt work. Even the sample site for the template the videos dont work… what do I need to do to fix this?

this is great I done it but how can it automatically down to my computer instead showing on the browser ?
actually works for google chrome but I think it does not work with safari browser on the Mac
By default download url will be taken from data-src/href attribute but it supports only for modern browsers. If you want you can provide another url for download via “data-download-url”.
