Hello, We are using this theme for a while and it is great, we have 2 questions:
1: When we are on this category page: https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo1/album_category/grunge/ (on our site). The albums aren’t linking to the album but to the category page. So we can’t click on the albums to view them. Is there a setting in the theme where i could change that?
2: on the homepage there is a section: Discover our newest albums and singles. Is it possible to fill that automaticly? So that if there is a new album online, an older one will be removed and the newest will be added. Now we have to change it every time when we add a new album?

Also, in any case, please make sure that you are running the last version of Slide theme and Slide Music Core plugin. What are the versions for the two? 2. The homepage section is meant to promote your last albums, not a specific album. That is why it is not automatically filling the title. Please let me know if you have more questions.

2. Yes that’s what we want, promote the last albums, but it would be great if they are filled automatically. So you only see the newest 7 albums on the front page. Now i have to change them myself every time.

1. Glad that the update worked! 2. The albums section automatically reads your most recent albums so from my point of view, if your goal is to show your last 6 albums automatically, this should work 100%. The widget will select your latest published (by post date) 6 albums (or a number of albums that you can specify in the widget settings). While the section title will not change, the albums will change after you introduce a new one. Am I missing something?

Thanks, I can see this image. This is a creative layout that allows higher flexibility in positioning the items and setting the width for each item. This layout is not automatically generated like the other available albums layouts. That is why, unfortunately, you need to manually change the albums after each release. If you want an automated solution, please use one of the other layouts available for albums, one of them is automatically emphasizing your latest published album (ex: please check the latest releases section on this demo: https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo2/). Let me know if you have more questions!
Thank you for your help. I added the widget ‘slide music albums’ and added some CSS to it. If i am lucky Sunday, the newest album is loaded in the biggest frame and all the others move one field. And the last one drops. https://popopzondag.nl/

If you want to use videos in combination with the video custom post type, you can insert them in the content area of the post, as embedded video. Or you can insert them anywhere on your website as embedded content. Let me know if you have a more specific question, to understand what you want to achieve.
This article says that you can use YouTube or Vimeo URLs.
Videos custom post type comes with a dedicated input field for the video URL. But you can still insert the video in the content area of the post, as long as you use the embedded form.

I really appreciate it. What is the easiest solution to delete the Archives & Categories sections that appear down at the bottom of the pages? It seems to be part of the page / template that cannot be changed in Elementor for example. Is there an option I’m missing? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I’ve been using “Slide – Music WordPress Theme” for a few years. After the latest updates I’m noticing a problem on the home page, where the revolution slider is. Every now and then the home page doesn’t open (it remains blank) and when inspecting the browser console, I read the following error:

As we have chatted before on here, there is still an issue with the loading on the home page that uses slider rev. There is also other bugs within the site like the events page loads weird with no data: https://thebjornidentity.co.uk/events/.

Hi. I just have installed Slide theme and created a page “Under construction”, with individual logo. Then I made an udpate of elementor (pro) to latest version, and now I can’t open slide pages in Elementor anymore. If I deactivate Slide Core plugin, this works. Any ideas on that? Thanks.

Before I do that. I found another comment with similar problem. But in my case deactivating Slider Revolution doesn’t impact the error. So could it be that Slide is not (yet) compatible with latest Elementor version?

Apologies, upon checking again it appears to be the Slider Revolution Plugin.
Indeed, an error coming from Slider Revolution plugin prevents the page to load correctly. I will prepare a new theme update in a couple of days to avoid this.

It looks that the icon code is overwritten by the font awesome version loaded by Elementor, which is loading and older version of the icon library. I will add this to my TODO list and I will search for a solution. Thanks for notice!

Also, it’s not an issue on every page, it’s only on some of the pages that have the Twitter logo. You can find the same issue on one of your live demos… https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo1/ if you go to that link, you’ll see that the Twitter logo is not working on the homepage of that live demo that you have for the template. If you scroll around the live demo, you’ll notice that the Twitter link does appear in some pages and other pages I won’t appear. On the homepage, it does not appear at all. So no, this is not an isolated issue with our template only.
Our design was modeled using this template demo https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo1/ that’s why we have that issue on our design because it’s an issue on that same template demo. Please let us know when you fix it. Thank you.
You have a different version of font awesome loaded on your website, that is why I need to check your setup. Please deactivate all the plugins that are not part of the theme package to see the difference. One of your existing plugins is loading a different version of the icon fonts library.
But you have the same issue on your own template! https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo1 go to that template of yours and you’ll see that you have the same issue with the Twitter link

My homepage currently displays a blank black screen on all browsers using the Slide theme. After a good deal of troubleshooting, I determined that the Elementor plugin is most likely causing this issue. When I deactivate it, the homepage displays. When I activate it, the homepage does not display. I read other comments from users and problems seem to be occurring after the most recent Elementor update. When I clear the WP/Server cache and refresh multiple times, the issue will resolve temporarily, but it always returns. Everything was working on the site until the recent Elementor update so please let me know if this issue is being addressed.

Hi community. I have another topic where I can’t find documentation or how-to. I use slide theme, have created albums and use Real Media Library for administrating media files in folders (e.g. cover and audio files of an album). And we use Polylang for translation. As I have also description for an album, I have to create album post for EN and DE. But I can’t integrate already uploaded files from a folder in the song section, only upload new. Can somebody help me how to handle this? Thanks.
Can you please offer more details on the place where you try to use an existing audio file from your media library?
When in WP menu I select to create/edit an album (I suggest a Slide theme object?), there’s the section “Songlist”. I can only upload files there, but not select existing ones from media library.
Indeed, on album posts you can add to the album only new songs. The ideea behind this is that a song can be unique to an album. If you want to add songs from already uploaded list in media library, I can add this to the TODO list for the next update. Please let me know!
