Hello, I’m using the Nicol theme and noticed that on mobile devices the site becomes laggy, especially due to background animations/canvas/video effects. Is there a way to disable or simplify these effects on smartphones, or what would you recommend to optimize performance while keeping the design appealing?

Currently, we only design vertical layouts for mobile devices. However, if you would like a different design, we can create it and customize it for you.
is the license of the motion art and elementor background intact with the theme or we have to purchase separtely if we like to edit them?
It is included with the theme, so there is no need to purchase it separately.

The theme does not have an option to change the permalink for a specific portfolio type. If you wish to change it globally ( general permalink option which applied to all the posts, by default ), you can do so in the Admin dashboard by navigating to Settings > Permalinks. If it’s feasible, we will consider adding an option for it.

Okay, if you are willing to customize it in a child theme, you can refer to the following article. Alternatively, you can use any plugin that provides options to change the permalink structure.

Theme does not having this feature for now, But you can add CSS code for it by accessing the Admin dashboard, navigating to Nicol Options, and then add your CSS code into Additional Code > CSS code. We will consider adding this option in a future release if it is feasible.

the fluid is nice, but it distracts too much from the contents of the website, so I would like to change it. from the creator’s site “paveldogreat”, it has many fluid customization options. which wordpress plugin did you use so I can check? Thank you!
We have not used any WordPress plugins for this fluid animation. Instead, we have integrated the “paveldogreat” code into our theme and have also included options for customisation according to your specific needs.

Certainly, it’s possible to either eliminate it altogether or substitute it with your own logo.
