Hi Iamakinola. Select this option: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Points -> Points system -> select this option “myCred – points management system”.
In the myCred settings, you can assign 1 point (or more points) for every visit of profile. For example, when a user visits some profile, then he gets 1 point.
After that, he can use those points to send messages.
You can assign number of points for every message in a subscription plan. Go to here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Subscription plans -> open a pan for editing -> enter number of points.
I did all this but users can’t use points to send messages it redirect them to subscribe
I checked it all on our side. It all works correctly. I got some points after I selected a subscription plan. After every message I sent in the chat, my points were deducted. Pints work correctly.
It is not clear what you said. You said “users can’t use points to send messages it redirect them to subscribe”.
How are they redirected? From what page? Are they redirected when they click on the Send button in the chat window?
Perhaps, you wrongly selected pages in the DateBook theme settings. Check here if all right pages selected: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Pages
Okay, I noticed the points reduced after I continued messaging the same person I have messaged already.
But I want to charge points to message new users. Example. Free users can only message 3 different accounts per day, when. Exhausted limited and want to message the 4 person, how can they use points to message new users?

1) If you want to limit free users, then you should create different subscription plans with different number of points.
2) I do not know why the settings get erased on your site. But please, note, the DateBook parent and DateBook child themes have different settings. Parent and child themes have their own settings. This is the only reason why the settings can change but not erased.
Sometimes, some servers run backup functions on their server. Perhaps, their MySQL server get crashed and they restore the MySQL database backups.
This happens often on some hosting servers. This even happened with us. But those servers do not tell you. They do it hiddenly.

The theme has an option “User must verify his email after registration”. This option can help. In this case, a real user must go to his email -> open a message from you -> click on a varification link.
Otherwise, unverified profile will be deleted after few days.

Hi. There are 2 ways. Use 1 of them. Both ways are safe:
1) Upload an archive file here: WordPress -> Appearance -> Themes -> Add new.

2) Upload on FTP. First, unpack an archive file on your desktop. Second, upload it on FTP. After that, go to your admin area in WordPress -> there you will see the msessage offering to install the plugin -> click “Install plugin”.
Thanks, it works, but now the theme does not send e-mails. I installed a plugin called Fluent SMTP to identify the issue, and it’s what I got:

The PHP mailer is working for testing on Fluent SMTP.
It means that some email template is empty. Please, go here and check all email templates whether they have some text in the body field: WordPress -> DateBook -> Email Templates
Especially, check this email template “Confirm your email address”.
If the body field is empty, then fill in the text like this:

Hi, the new update about adding phone numbers and pictures in the classified ads does not make sense. Anyone can now post their phone numbers for everyone to see without subscribing. The classified ads and tours must be part of a paid subscription, not free for everyone to use. Or at least adding phone numbers and pictures must be part of a subscription plan. Unless I am missing a setting for this.
Also there must be a way where administrators can send a pvt message to a profile from an administrator eg: ‘you have received a msg from an administrator or ‘website name’.

In the demo, datebook dashboard > Chat and Messages > Allow Administrator write messages in chat window > Yes. Text field will be displayed in the chat window where administrator can write and send messages on behalf of users.

Hi. Yes, you can accept payments. For this, you must install WooCommerce, and your payment plugin supported by WooCommerce.
Administrator in chat. As you know, administrator can see any profile and change its data (settings, passwords, name, description). Also, administrator can read chat messages, right on a profile page. Administrator can also send messages in the chat window. But if administrator writes something in the chat window, the receiving user does not that the message was sent by administrator. That user will be still thinking that a profile owner sends messages.
This option “Allow Administrator write messages in chat window” disables this possibility for administrator to send messages on behalf of a profile owner.

I have a follow-up question: Can the admin view messaging activity in the dashboard — specifically, which users are messaging which other users? For example, if there are 300 fake users generated, how can the admin know which ones have received messages? Manually checking each profile’s inbox would be too time-consuming.
Also, I hope we’ll see the chat moderator role feature soon, allowing moderators to respond on behalf of all fake users. That would be extremely helpful!

I have set a couple of different profile types, I wish to restrict certain profiles being able to see other profile types. Each time I enable the setting and save it… it reverts back enabling all profiles to remain visible.
Does it mean that the settings do not save? Could you explain in more details? What options do you enable? Check whether those options are really saved. Where do you still see profiles, on what page? Screenshots could help me better and faster understand the issue.

Also, you have activated the cache plugin. It displays old cached pages. It means you will not see any changes on your site after you re-save in the theme settings.
I installed the new version that was just released, and the loco compiler gives a template error, and I can’t synchronize it at all. Loco translation is not possible.
I think I found the error. The main theme directory is named datebook, and so is the plugin. There is a conflict here, because when I open the plugin datebook, it says theme.

Hi LeonGeb. It looks like some cache is working. Perhaps, you are logged in as not super administrator. It is very difficult to say why the captcha does not display.
Try to clean the cache in your browser. Try to use a different browser. Try to use a different browser on another device.
Try to clean the htaccess file or use the default htaccess file of WordPress.

Tip: the best way to install the theme is to use Theme Installer here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer. Please, follow all 3 steps. In this case, all required (form, fields, menus, templates, plans) will be installed correctly.

This section (horizontal photos) must display featured profiles. But you have no featured profiles yet. That’s why this section does not display any profile.
Solution: go to every profile page (frontend) -> click on the Administration Dashboard -> select the date in the field “Activate Featured status till” -> click on “Activate”.
Also, re-save this field: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> Gender.
