Having trouble creating account with the support site. It says my username is taken but ‘charlottehyland’ my envato username.
Why is the footer showing up the way it is?
http://www.tonybartone.com/Try logging in, if it says your username is taken it likely created an account for you and then an error was triggered somehow.
It looks like there’s an issue with my testimonial widget. I’ll put this on my list of items for the next release. Until then, you can open a thread and we’ll help you with a workaround.
Hey, great theme! I’m making a site for a friend’s family’s charity and it’s coming out very nicely! Check it out: http://www.ecuadorschildren.com/site/
I have one request though: can you tell me how I can change the black background color where the logo is and the black area below the slider? I don’t really know HTML or CSS (in the process of educating myself in these topics) so if you could be very specific I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Thanks!
Please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll be able to help you out over there.
Hi! I installed the Outreach theme and I love it. Our site is turning out really beautiful and functional – datevoutreach.org.
I have a question about the links in the social network portion of theme options. I’d like to have our pages (twitter, fb, youtube) open to a new tab. Is there a way to make that possible? I’m only given an option to insert URL. Thanks for your help!
You’d need a minor change to the code. Please open a thread at http://support.designcrumbs.com and we’ll help you over there.
Do you have sample of people who have used this?
Well people don’t really come and tell me that they’re using my themes, but I was able to find a few in my support forum: http://heirsofrestraint.com/ – http://hlsf.org/ – http://www.righteousanswering.com/ – http://www.connecteach.org/
I am thinking about purchasing this theme. Do you install it or do I?
You do that yourself. There’s documentation included to help you through installation and setup. The themes you buy here at ThemeForest are just the files, no services (other than support) are included.
Will we be able to add buddypress to the template?
Technically, you can add BuddyPress to any theme and it would work fine. However, this theme doesn’t have any specific styling for BuddyPress.
I’m using Network Solutions. Should I try doing it regular size (40px high)? Different file type?
If it is a hosting problem, exactly what do I need to tell them to fix it? FYI I have the basic Wordpress package with Network Solutions so I don’t have access to my FTP files.
It is an issue with your hosting. Tell them the errors that you received below and that you need “allow_url_fopen = on”
I’ve tried adding a logo (PNG), it’s resized to 80px high. I’m getting this weird code instead of a logo…
Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /data/16/2/156/11/2971337/user/3295031/htdocs/WordPress/wp-content/themes/outreach/header.php on line 51
Warning: getimagesize(http://www.tonybartone.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Tony_Logo1.png) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /data/16/2/156/11/2971337/user/3295031/htdocs/WordPress/wp-content/themes/outreach/header.php on line 51
It sounds like you server (1and1 by chance?) doesn’t have that option turned on. Get in touch with them and tell them what the error is and they’ll be able to get it fixed.
There’s also a thread concerning this in my support forum. If you have any more issues, I’d appreciate it if you’d open a thread over there.
Hi,
Just one quick question – is it possible to change the slider transition (e.g. from a push to a dissolve)?
Thanks! Great theme BTW!
Yup. It can fade or slide.
Love the theme, its perfect!
Only problem I’m finding is I cant seem to view it on Mobile Devices have no idea why, a blank screen seems to appear instead of the site.
Hmmm. I’m not sure what could be happening without seeing the site. Please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and leave a link to your site so we can check it out.
hi, great looking theme… i’m considering purchase. quick question, i’m curious if the theme’s responsive nature is easily turned off. some are very particular about seeing the site as designed, instead of adjusted to fit a mobile devices’s screen. apologies if I missed this in the questions already posted.
Well it’s as simple as removing the @media queries from the bottom of the stylesheet. The responsiveness is literally the last part of the stylesheet.
OK, thanks. That certainly works as an alternative to a setting.
One other questions, is it fairly easy to deactivate the video and posts section on the home page if I wanted to create my own DIVs for custom content?
There’s not an option for it or anything. However, they simply will not show up if you leave the option fields blank. If you’d like to remove them and replace them with something else, I’d recommend doing so through a child theme; a start child theme is included with the main download.
Thanks for your interest!
Nevermind – refreshed the webpage and it worked.
I did, and that’s where I pulled my code from… Still not working…
K, new problem – I just tried to create an account, and it says my purchase code isn’t valid…
Make sure you use the same username and email address that is associated with your ThemeForest account. Also, ensure you are using the correct purchase code, found here
And also, I can’t get the slider working – I have it all uploaded, set the image as the feature image, but nothing shows on the webpage in the slider area.
Hi Sparky, Please open a thread in my support forum http://support.designcrumbs.com and make sure to leave a link to your to your site.
And sorry, also, with no posts at all?
Just a quick question – on the home page, there is the area below the banner that has a video and then the 3 latests posts. Is there any way to make this area arbitrary text?
Hi, nice looking frontpage. I have some questions:
1) The email opt in – it can be linked to an autoresponder directly like Aweber, etc. right?
2) The Donate button – can we change the word “donate” to something else?
3) Also, can I customize the height of the slider – to make it shorter?
Thanks
Thanks for your interest!
1 – the plugin I’ve styled doesn’t do that, no. But any plugin will work with the theme, it just won’t be styled the same necessarily.
2 – yes, that’s an option in the theme.
3 – that’s not an option, but if you’re comfortable creating a child theme it could be done.
Thanks. I was just about to get the theme. But I can see it’s not that flexible! I love the style of the frontpage but if it can’t connect directly to autoresponders and keep its style, then I guess I won’t be getting it. If the theme becomes more flexible, it would be great.
Hello,
I was wondering how you set up the upcoming events section on the sidebar. I cant seem to figure it out, im not very Wordpress savvy.
Thanks.
It’s using The Events Calendar plugin by Modern Tribe. Once you have that activated and setup, there is an Events widget you can drag to the sidebar.
Modern Tribe has more detailed documentation on it here: http://tri.be/support/
Hi,
I am looking to purchase the outreach theme for our current wordpress.com non-profit site. Currently it is hosted by wordpress, and i was wondering if this regular license theme is compatible with our currently wordpress.com blog/site?
If it is not compatible with our wp.com site, what would we need to do in order to use the license and use the theme for our organization? Would be have to purchase additional programs/software/upgrades in order to make this work?
Thanks!

Hi there, None of the the themes here (or any marketplace other than WordPress.com) are compatible with WordPress.com. Commercial themes are for use with self hosted WordPress installs.
You would need to get your own hosting, install WordPress, and then install the theme.
This section on WordPress.com explains it a little more: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
