Hello,
I have another question before purchasing the theme.
For this project, I don’t need a full online booking system with instant reservations or payments.
Instead, I need a simpler flow:
Guests can view availability (calendar) and pricing
Select their desired dates
Submit a pre-booking / inquiry form
The request is sent to us by email, and we handle the booking manually
So I would like to confirm:
Is it possible to use the booking system without requiring online payment or instant confirmation?
Can I configure it so that all bookings are treated as inquiries (request-based) instead of confirmed reservations?
Does the theme allow sending booking requests via email only, without blocking dates automatically?
Can the availability calendar still be displayed even if bookings are handled manually?
Or would this require custom development?

Hi,
Booking system is integrated with WooCommerce. Unfortunately, there is no option to send inquiries using the booking form. This can be done by contact form and you can then enter reservation dates manually using “Custom Reserved Dates” option in Reservation Settings that are available for every accommodation. The availability calendar will display “Custom Reserved Dates” entered manually by site administrator.

I’m considering purchasing the Carsten theme for a project, but I have a specific use case and would like to confirm compatibility before buying.
The website is for a single property rental (a full house), not a hotel or multi-room accommodation. Guests will always book the entire property, not individual rooms.
So my questions are:
Is it possible to configure the booking system to allow only one unit/property available per date (no multiple rooms or categories)?
Can the system block dates globally once a booking is made (since the whole house becomes unavailable)?
Is it possible to simplify or hide the “room selection” step, since there is only one property?
Does the theme support this use case natively, or would it require custom development?

The “Room” label can be changed to “House” or something else. Labels in the theme are translatable and they can be translated/changes using a translation plugin like Loco Translate. This way you can set one room for “Room Amount” option but once you change the label it will be shown as one house/unit/property. Of course, you can add in the description how many rooms are available in the property.

Pre-purchase questions: Does the theme support Elementor Pro? I don’t see any pages that handle the portfolio. Is it not managed?

All of the features showcased in the demo and listed in the Theme Features list can be achieved with the theme options, custom shortcodes by the theme and free version of Elementor. Elementor Pro was not used in theme development.
Portfolio is not available as a custom post type unfortunately.

If you imported demo content and the sliders are missing, please note that they can be imported separately. See one-click import → Bonus tips.
Please note that the theme won’t be added to the “Supported Items” dropdown automatically after the purchase. It is necessary to submit a ticket for it first so the purchase code can be verified.
When submitting support request please make sure to fill in the form as shown in screenshot screenshot. First enter your purchase code, then select the profile (in this case Elated) and then theme.

Looks great. We’re looking for a theme suitable for a luxury resort. Can you confirm that this theme fully utilizes the WP Bakery Page Builder and that all demo data also works with it? We prefer not to use Elementor.

Unfortunately there is no demo content version built with WPBakery. Theme uses Elementor as page builder and the demo content is built using this plugin.
The theme is compatible with WPBakery, and all of the theme’s shortcodes are also available with this page builder, so you can use it to build your content from scratch. However, this plugin is not included with the theme and if you wish to use it you need to purchase it separately.

The booking form is an integral part of the “room” post type and once you fill in “Capacity and Prices” in room settings, the booking form will be shown.
If you need to just add “Book Now” text that will link to some other booking platform, then this can be done by editing room description, just make sure to enable Elementor for room post type. When Elementor is installed it is initially enabled just for pages and blog post. To edit other post types it is necessary to enable editor in Elementor > Settings.
Booking is integrated with WooCommerce cart and checkout. You can test it in the demo by booking some room and going to cart and checkout.
The “Room Reservation Form” shown on the main homepage can be added on pages as a shortcode using Elementor.

How can I make the cart visible in the menu (once the booking system is activated)?
If I set specific periods of the year with specific rates, how can I make the rooms unavailable for the remaining periods? For example, I set the rooms to be bookable from May to October 2026, but I don’t want the booking system to be active from today until April. How should I do that?

Cart widget can be added to Header Widget area in Appearance > Widgets. For a more detailed overview of available widgets and widget areas please check this section of documentation.
There are “Seasonal Section” settings for each room where you can add specific rates. In “Reservation Settings” you can add “Custom Reserved Dates” for which the room will not be listed as available.

The theme can be used to create a presentational site for multiple hotels. Once you import our demo content you will get all the pages and settings which you can adjust to your needs. You can use each homepage as a presentational page for a different hotels, or duplicate a page you prefer and edit that page

There isn’t an option to set a discount for certain period of time. There is an option to set seasonal prices as shown in screenshot and also to add custom reserved dates (please see screenshot). This can be used to set bookings with different prices.

You can add “Image Gallery” element (which has lightbox option) in the description section of room posts. This can be done using Elementor page builder, but first please make sure to enable it for all post types in Elementor > Settings.

because when I want to send a ticket I don’t see the Carsten template, I want to know how to change the description text of the rooms, I make the changes in the editor but when I open the page of the room it always shows me the demo text.

As mentioned in previous comments, the description text in our demo is added using Elementor, so it needs to be edited with this page builder. Please navigate to Elementor > Settings, check all of the post types and save changes. After that, you will have the option to open the room posts using Elementor and adjust the description text.

Support protal does not have Carsten theme as option. I have problem when i try to import demo i get to 98% and error “Files don’t exist”. All server values are as required there is no error.

The reservation form is integrated within the theme and there is no option to disable it, however, it can be hidden with some css and our support agents can assist you with this. The button or link to external booking can be added. We should add that the availability calendar can only work with the reservation form by the theme, it cannot be integrated with external booking forms.
