Try to clean the cache in the browser. Also, update the page in the browser with Ctrl+F5.
Of course i did that. Serveral times
the random uploading of posts being created is a continued problem with this product…..... this is the latest that is happening? 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:47 pm 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:27 pm 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:07 pm 0×1c8c5b6a
I already explained that the theme can’t create posts. The theme does not have the function to create posts. Especially such strange spam titles.
The theme can create only profile, classified, tour. That’s it.
As I see, this might be some plugin that generates posts.
Also, it is up to you to protect your site by help of firewall. Try to install some firewall: Wordfence Security, All In One WP Security & Firewall and others.
I don’t have access to your website, especially the admin area. Therefore, I cannot say what is happening on your site and I don’t know how to help.
If you provide me the access to your admin area, then I could try to find out what generates spam posts.
Hi, I’m migrating my site from the old structure:
Parent theme: datebook
Child theme: datebook-child
…to the new structure:
Parent theme: datebook-theme
Child theme: datebook-theme-child
I have many custom settings configured in both the Customizer and your Theme Dashboard (the panel under the WordPress menu). I’d like to migrate everything without redoing all settings manually.
Can you please tell me:
Which wp_options keys or database entries your theme uses to store settings for the Theme Dashboard and the child theme?
Are these options saved depending on the theme name (e.g. datebook-child) or are they loaded independently?
Is there any official method to export/import all theme settings (Customizer + Dashboard)?
I understood that I’m now forced to follow this change in order to align with your new structure – hopefully this was the last drastic modification.
If needed, I can also send you an email with more technical details.
Thanks.
Hi. All options in database begins with “datebook”. Example: “datebook_gateways”.
The theme settings are “datebook_theme” for parent theme and “datebook_theme_child” for child theme.
Yes, these names depend on the theme name. If you manually rename the theme name, then you will have to re-save the settings. Because, names affect to the theme settings. For example, parent theme has its own settings, child theme has a different name, then the child theme must have its own settings. In this case, there will not be confusion between themes. For example, it is not good to have the same settings for both parent and child theme. That’s why, different names = different settings.
There is no method to export/import. But we already started thinking about it. So, this possibility will be added in the next updates.
Yes, correct. Since WordPress 6.8 forces us to follow its rules, then we have to follow all these changes too. Yes, such change has never happened before. I hope this will never happen in the future.
As well as you, we are not glad to waste time and do such changes in the theme. But we had to.
Yes, sure. We will be glad to assist you in any matter, any time. Email info@pagickthemes.com
Kind regards
Hi again,
First of all, thank you for your detailed reply — it was very helpful. I’m now preparing a clean migration from the old datebook-child to your new datebook-theme-child structure.
Since theme settings are saved in wp_options, and you mentioned that they are stored in a key like datebook_theme_child, I would like to confirm a few things to make this transition smooth and fast — and hopefully helpful for other users too.
1. What is the exact option name used in the old child theme? For example, does it use datebook_theme_child or a different key like datebook_theme_child_489, datebook_options_child, or similar?
2. Is the structure of that option_value the same between old and new themes? If yes, I can safely run a SQL query to copy the values.
3. Do you use any other keys in wp_options, wp_postmeta, or wp_termmeta related to theme settings or widgets that are affected by the theme name?
4. About translations (very important):
5. Which folder should contain the native .mo and .po files for translations? wp-content/languages/themes/ or inside the theme (/languages/)?
6. What is the recommended filename format for additional manual translations? (e.g. for Italian: datebook-theme-it_IT.mo?)
7. If I use a custom translation file for Italian (with Loco Translate), where should I place it so it is not overwritten and works correctly?
8. If I succeed in the migration, will you keep these settings also in future updates for the theme and plugins (but above all to make the child theme work)?
I’m writing here so it can be of help to others who are facing the same problem, but if you ask me to send you an email I will.
Thanks again for the support (I sent an email also).
Regards
Hi Pagick, I know these are several questions but unfortunately I can’t help it to move forward. If you can answer me within ten days I would really appreciate it.
Ps: The email address from which I sent you the email is different from the email address from which I purchased the license.
Thanks
Hi. Yes, sure. I will answer. I need some time to prepare answers.
Thank you!
Are you there, Pagick?
You can reply to the email sent 10 days ago! Thanks for your time.
Hello, Have you looked into the fluentforms compatibility issue?
Hi. Not yet. I had to fix the urgent issues on our sides. Today, I will have a look at this form.
Hi, Unfortunately the issue with subscriptions isn’t fixed as we initially thought. Please see the email I’ve sent
Thanks
Hi. Ok, I will see and be back soon. Thank you.
Hi, I’ve been doing some testing and have emailed you the results
I want to know why I don’t have a child theme?
Because you did not upload it
Hi Pagick, I installed the new theme (4.91), deleted the old one (4.75), installed the new version of the plugin (4.91) and deactivated the previous one (4.75). I had to redo all the settings manually, and finally, the theme worked. Unfortunately, it does not send an email to the user when another user leaves them a message. An email is sent normally upon registration, notification of top position, password request, etc., but it does not go to the user when receiving a message. What should I do?
Hi nicky12. Activate the theme again here WordPress -> DateBook -> License.
Pagick, the theme and pludin are the latest versions; they are activated. There is a problem with the theme. Please help me – it is a live site and I am losing users every day
I will be back to you today later after I check and fix the issue you described.
Don’t you need to have some login details?
Yes, please. That would be great if I could fix the issue right on your website. Email info@pagickthemes.com
Hi, the same happens to my website after I install the new theme update, it gives me 2 themes and it totally messes with my configuration. Also gives me critical error.
Hi. Yes, correct. The theme name has changed. Now the correct and actual theme is “DateBook Theme”. Also, the theme and plugin versions are 4.9.1. You should activate these new theme and plugin. You can delete old theme and plugin.
When it gives you critical error, WordPress must send you an email with error details. Could you resend it to me please? If possible.
It is difficult to say what could cause an error on your site.
You need to fix these updates man, It keeps changing everything back to defaults, or you need to do these updates for me. I can’t update my theme at all.
Hi! I’m still using Datebook version 4.8.7 because whenever I try to update to a new version, I get 2 Datebook Themes
Hi. Yes, correct. The theme name has changed. Now the correct and actual theme is “DateBook Theme”. Also, the actual theme and plugin versions are 4.9.1. You should activate these new theme and plugin. You can delete old theme and plugin.
I install and active the theme but its not show the demo files and after user registratin that give me this Error There has been a critical error on this website.
I don’t know why this error happened. Could you give an access to your website please? I would check and fix the error. Thank you. Email info@pagickthemes.com
Hello, I installed the new update, but unfortunately when I activate the template, my own language that I translated through Loco is completely lost and is not displayed in the existing languages of the site. This is why I have a big problem now. Every time you release a new update, I have to spend a lot of time to coordinate the translation and template settings.
Hi. What have been modified in the theme:
1) The theme folder name changed from “datebook” to “datebook-theme”
Old name: wp-content/themes/datebook.
New name: wp-content/themes/datebook-theme.
2) The text domain changed from “datebook” to “datebook-theme”
Old text domain: esc_html__(‘Menu’, ‘datebook’)
New text domain: esc_html__(‘Menu’, ‘datebook-theme’)
3) The child theme folder name changed from “datebook-child” to “datebook-theme-child”.
Old name: wp-content/themes/datebook-child.
New name: wp-content/themes/datebook-theme-child.
4) The language file name changed from “datebook.pot” to “datebook-theme.pot”. In this folder: wp-content/themes/datebook-theme/languages.
That’s it. The DateBook plugin has NOT been modified. It is ok.
Now you know what changed and what to do.
Kind regards
Change the new DateBook plugin name from “datebook-theme” to “datebook”. WordPress changed the plugin folder name to “datebook-theme”. But it is not necessary. It is better to rename back to “datebook”. Also, you should first delete the old plugin folder.
Hi, I changed the name of the folder in the zip file, then updated the template and it worked, thank you.
THE LATEST UPDATE 4.9.1 (LIKE THE PREVIOUS 3) DOES NOT KEEP AND RESET THE CUSTOMIZATION MADE THROUGH CHILD THEME, IT’S A FACT.
I HAVE ADOPTED ANY WAY OUT OF THIS (ALSO CHANGING THE TEMPLATE NAME ON THE CHILD THEME CSS FILE BUT THE MANDATORY UPDATE OF THE PLUGIN AND THEME RESETS ALL THE DATA PROBABLY BECAUSE THE TABLE IN THE DATABASE WAS OMITTED? I DON’T KNOW)!
IT IS NOT RESPECTFUL TO RELEASE VERSIONS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE BASIC WORDPRESS STANDARDS (KEEPING THE CHILD THEME WORKING IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY OF MALFUNCTIONING OF THE PARENT THEME IS ONE OF THESE, OTHERWISE WHY DOES THE CHILD THEME EXIST I WONDER?) AND ABOVE ALL THAT THEY DO NOT RESPECT THOSE WHO HAVE PLACED TRUST IN YOU AS A DEVELOPER BY GIVING YOU MONEY (EVEN A FEW DOZENS OF DOLLARS).
PEOPLE HERE HAVE INVESTED THEIR TIME TO CUSTOMISE THE WEBSITE (IN MY CASE BOTH CUSTOMIZATIONS OF THE CHILD THEME WITH HUNDREDS OF ADDED FIELDS AND SETTINGS MADE AS WELL AS CSS CODE) AND YOU CAN’T CARE ABOUT IT BY OMITTING IMPORTANT THINGS WITH THE EXCUSE THAT WORDPRESS HAS CHANGED THE CARDS ON THE TABLE BY RELEASING UPDATES FROM YOUR SIDE THAT WASTE HUNDREDS OF MY / OUR HOURS OF WORK.
I’VE BEEN READY TO GO TO THE PUBLIC FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS BUT I CAN’T DO IT FOR ALL THE REASONS EXPOSED HERE, IS THAT RIGHT IN YOUR OPINION?
I BOUGHT A THEME THAT OFFERED ME TRANSLATIONS IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES (NO LONGER WORKING) AND A WORKING CHILD THEME (NO LONGER WORKING) – WHICH ALSO DOESN’T HAVE A WAY TO EXTRAPOLATE ALL THE CUSTOMIZATIONS MADE.
I AM NOT A WORDPRESS NEWBOY BUT I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT MY TIME IS THROWN IN THE DUSTBIN WITH CRAPY EXCUSES BLAMING WORDPRESS.
I DEMAND THAT THE CHILD THEME KEEPS ITS SETTINGS DURING ANY FUTURE UPDATE AND THAT IT STARTS DOING SO FROM THE NEXT ONE.
MONTHS AGO WITH VERSION 4.8.5 YOU HAD SOLVED THE PROBLEM (IT SEEMED) BUT HERE IT HAS COME BACK HEAVIER THAN BEFORE AND IT IS NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM I WOULD ADD.
PS: I HAVE ANOTHER SITE WITH ASTRA THEME AND CHILD THEME, AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY KIND OF PROBLEM WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF WORDPRESS EVEN IF IT IS A MULTILINGUAL WEBSITE.
NOT TO MENTION THE MISSING RESPONSES (I SHOULD RECEIVE A RESPONSE WITHIN TWO WORKING DAYS – IT IS WRITTEN ON THE SALES PAGE – BUT HERE WEEKS OF WAITING GO BY – YES, YOU ALSO DID IT DURING MY INITIAL 6 MONTH ASSISTANCE PERIOD) BUT AS FAR AS I SEE YOU CONTINUE TO DO IT.
YOUR THEME IS ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO KEEP THE THEME IN YOUR BASIC CONDITIONS (WITHOUT CHILD THEME AND WITHOUT ANY CSS CUSTOMIZATION).
IT’S A SHAME BECAUSE I HAD APPRECIATED ITS INTRINSIC AND SPEED CHARACTERISTICS BUT THEY ARE OF NO USE TO ME IF I HAVE TO HAVE A FINAL PRODUCT THAT DOESN’T REFLECT MY AESTHETIC TASTES AND I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY WORRY THAT IT DOESN’T WORK AFTER EVERY UPDATE. I REMEMBER MONTHS AGO THAT PEOPLE WERE LOSING THEIR CUSTOMIZATIONS AFTER EVERY UPDATE (CRAZY THING), A LITTLE LIKE NOW.
NOW I EXPLAIN THE MORE THAN 4,400 COMMENTS ON THIS PAGE, WHICH ARE CERTAINLY NOT FOR COMPLIMENTS BUT THEY MISLEAD ME WHEN I BUYED.
I AM WAITING WITH IMPATIENCE FOR THE NEXT VERSION THAT WILL FIX EVERYTHING (IF YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE, CALL SOMEONE WHO IS MORE CAPABLE THAN YOU TO SOLVE PROBLEMS, SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PEOPLE USUALLY DO THIS).
I WILL RELEASE AN ADEQUATE REVIEW EVERYWHERE I CAN – AND NOT ONLY THIS – TO INFORM OTHER PEOPLE OF THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AS WELL AS INFORMING THE THEMEFOREST COMPANY THAT HOSTS US OF THE INCIDENT.
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO ANSWER DO SO BUT IN A WAY THAT I RECEIVE SOMETHING THAT I DON’T ALREADY KNOW.
GOOD CONTINUATION

BUT WHAT ANSWER WOULD THIS BE, EXCUSE ME?
YOU INFORMED ME OF THE CHANGES YOU MADE (IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE WRITTEN IN THE RELEASE NOTES OF THE NEW VERSION BUT IT NEVER IS).
CAN THIS BE USEFUL TO ME NOW?
YOU ARE THE DEVELOPER WHO RELEASES VERSIONS PERIODICALLY, CURRENTLY YOU HAVE RELEASED VERSION 4.9.1, WHICH SHOULD WORK WITHOUT ME HAVING TO KNOW ANYTHING.
I, AS A CONSUMER, UPLOADED IT TO MY WEBSITE WHICH BROKEN, LOSING ALL THE CUSTOMIZATIONS MADE TO THE WEBSITE (IN THE C H I L D – T H E M E) IN THE PREVIOUS MONTHS. THE CHILD THEME SHOULD STILL WORK BUT IT LOSES EVERYTHING.
READING IN THE COMMENTS I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO HAS PROBLEMS.
Hi Pagick, I installed the new version of the theme, installed the new version of the plugin (I re-entered all settings manually), now there is the following problem: when the user tries to send a message after pressing the send button, nothing happens, the message is not sent. Currently, users cannot send messages to each other.
Hi nicky13. This must be cache. Try clean it. Messages work on our side. We do not do anything special after updating the theme usually. Also, try to update the pages with Ctrl+F5.
I’m getting a fatal error on my site, the info from the logs shows this Unsupported operand types: string * int in /homepages/39/d4298997167/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/datebook-theme/includes/class-datebook-cron.php:470
I will check and fix it. The next update with the fix will be released soon. Thank you very much.
Hi Pagick, after I upgraded the theme to the new version, something strange happened: the update was added as a new theme, rather than an upgrade of the existing one – see the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/HJTwSNeckRJZ The same thing happened with the plugin; it was added as a different plugin and not an upgrade of the existing one – see the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/_Tbzq6scGkuD Why is this happening?
Hi nicky12. Yes correct. Now, the theme has changed its name from “DateBook” to “DateBook Theme”.
You can delete the old theme.
But the plugin has not changed. So the plugin must be one only. You can delete the old plugin.
The problem is that when I delete the plugin, the plugin settings are also deleted. How can I restore them without entering all the settings manually again?
After installing the new theme, there must be a message “Data Upgrade Required”. Click on it.
But if you do not see that message, then do the following:
Load this link. Replace “yoursite” with your domain:
https://yoursite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=datebook-options-install&upgrade-theme=yesUnfortunately, nothing happened- the website completely crashed.
Do you want me to send the login details to check what has happened?
In this case, you have to re-save the theme settings. Here WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard
When I go there, there are no settings to save – the settings of the old plugin are gone.
The plugin acting like this is a first installation :https://prnt.sc/9pWjttzTfAxW
I didn’t delete the old plugin version, I just disabled it. And if I disable the new one and enable the old version of the plugin, the settings are in place. However, if I disable the old one and enable the new version, all settings are lost.
Hi. What have been modified in the theme:

Old name: wp-content/themes/datebook.

When a user isn’t logged in, is there any way to add another option to the links at the top for “login” and “register”? I want to add a “How it works” link to a page that I’ve created so that new customers can get an understanding before proceeding
Thanks
Also when editing the custom fields, under the “field type” tab is there any way to add “URL” or “Link” so that a customer can add a hyperlink?
Yes. The Custom Fields have a website field, specially made for URLs. It is here WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> Website. You can add it in the forms here WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms.
You can hide the Registration link in the menu here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Login and Register -> Show Register and Login links.
After that, you can add a link “How it works” in the menu. In this page you can add your text and the registration button “https://yoursite/registration”.
I don’t want to hide the login and register buttons, simply add the “how it works” link at the side of them. Is this possible?
Thanks
No, not possible.
Hi Pagick. Everything is gone! After the last theme update v4.9.1, the website stops working – there is a completely white page and nothing on it – check out: www.dvama.eu
Hi nicky12. Re-save the settings here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard.

I replied in your comment above
is it possible to say why Email Sending Not Working Properly
Your server does not allow to send emails on simple way. Nowadays, all servers do not allow this. WordPress tries to send emails on simple way. This is not allowed.
Solution: install the WP Mail SMTP plugin. It always helps.
Hi, this update works normally
everything is good. just now, we have 2 childs (Datebook Theme Child and Datbeook Child Theme) and 2 themes (Datebook and Datebook Theme): can we remove 2 and witch? thanks
Hi. Yes, remove 2 old themes: DateBook and DateBook Child Theme.
New themes: DateBook Theme and DateBook Theme Child.
