How to recover passwords for demo accounts

Here are 2 ways:

1) The same ways as you do for ordinary users. Here: WordPress -> Users -> find your user and edit its data.

Hi Pagick,

I see there was another release on August 7 which has a fix for woocommerce subscription not assigned correctly.

I was wondering if this should fix the problem I am having (after purchase the payment goes true but the subscription is not assigned).

I updated the theme in staging and tested it:

shadow-admin: i was not able to purchase the subscription but order/payment went through

login as testuser: i was able to purchase the subscription but another test (with changing the subscription) revealed that the subscription is not changing.

for the latter I canceled all the orders from that user, it still did not remove the current subscription. i also moved all cancelled order to the trash and the subscription for that user remains active.

I checked all settings that could cause this but could not find any. I tried in “Subscription Plans” but also if the “can subscribe to another plan with active subscription” in “Datebook > Subscription” is checked (which it is).

If the latest update was not supposed to fix this, please apologize. If it was, then it didnt work for me :(

Check if the phone field is enabled: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Custom Fields.

I have migrated DateBook from a subdirectory to a new main domain. After the migration, everything worked fine. However, when I update the theme from DateBook to the DateBook theme, the site stops working.

Kindly consider adding the following features in the upcoming update:

User: Ability to download their profile as a PDF.

Admin: Ability to download or upload one or all profiles to maintain a database.

This will allow us to back up the client database and restore it anytime when needed.

Yes. The URL for classified has been added in the last update 4.9.3. Just re-save permalinks here: WordPress -> Settings -> Permalinks.

These improvements have been done:

  • Fixed: chat limit counted incorrectly.
  • Added: theme settings can be backup.
  • Added: moderation for new images.
  • Added: recurring payment via PayPal (beta).
  • Added: possible to cancel recurring payment via PayPal (beta).
  • Added: classified permalinks now have categories.
  • Fixed: featured background images did not display.
  • Fixed: number of payments counted wrongly in admin area.

if a new user is required to upload a profile picture according to the theme settings (which I think is a brilliant feature), but later decides not to, they currently have no option at that stage to delete their account. The delete function is not available because the user is always redirected to the mustUploadPhoto process. Suggested improvement: Account deletion should already be possible at this point. The approval for the account deletion solution in the theme settings is marked as granted.

The same applies to the mustCompleteProfile function — currently, users also have no access to delete their account there.

Pagick, thank you so much for adding photo moderation. It works well for secondary photos – they are not published until approved.

> However, there’s an issue with the profile photo: when uploading the first photo (which becomes the profile photo), it gets published without moderation.

It’s visible publicly on the profile even though its status in the admin dashboard is ‘waiting for approval’.

Is there an option to build communities

Almost yes. Why not. But the main feature of Facebook is the wall. The DateBook theme does not have the wall.

I have an issue with related countries. Your document shows this region or city when I click on edit Australia, but I have not seen the option. Can you please guide me? I have also problem in the menu.

It is not clear where you click on the edit button. Could you describe in more detail please? Could you install countries?

You can install countries here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries Installer -> click on the Start button.

After activating the new theme, I did not receive the “Data Upgrade Required!” prompt. Instead, I was asked to upgrade the DateBook plugin.

Once I activated the plugin, I was then prompted to activate the theme using my purchase code. However, after entering the code, all my settings were reset. I’ve tried this several times, but the same issue continues to occur.

Additionally, I was prompted to upgrade my PHP version from 7.4 to 8.0, and I’ve also updated WordPress from version 6.6 to 6.8 as requested.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

But I see the installation starts from the beginning. Therefore, you have to re-save the theme settings. But profiles and other data will not be lost. Only the settings will be re-saved.

Regarding PHP and WordPress. These are not related to the theme. This is WordPress itself requires upgrade. Ok, upgrade it. Yes, it is better to use PHP 8.3.

Hi Pagick, I’ve added description texts (tips) to several custom fields – for example, for the “Name” field: “This name will be shown on your public profile.”

However, these descriptions are not displayed in the frontend registration form, even though they are correctly saved in the backend.

Could you please check if the form template can be adjusted to show the description text below the label, e.g. using a element?

URGENT!

When I purchase a subscription, it just goes through the process (including sending mails) but its not activating.

I tried with free and paid sub and also tried with coupons.

Right now potential users can subscribe but aren’t getting anything for their money!

I was able to replicate this issue on staging with plugins deactivated (except for the ones i needed to test it – woocommerce, woocommerce payment, datebook)

regarding the order already made. No, those old orders will not be activated automatically. You will have to manually activate each order in WooCommerce only. You will not have to activate profiles and subscriptions on profile’s page. When you change the status of order to “Completed”, profiles and subscriptions will be activated and assigned automatically.

We are still working on subscription day and night. I hope tomorrow it will be completed.

thanks pagick, the thing is, the orders are completed. should i change it to in progress and back to completed again? also is this already a temporary solution or would i have to wait for the fix before I do that?

Yes. correct. If the order is completed but profile and subscription are not activated yet, then yes. It is a right step. Just change the order status to pending or progress, then again change to “Completed”. In this case, the theme sees that the order changed to “Completed” and activates both profile and subscription.

I have a question regarding profile URLs.

Currently, user profiles are accessed via links like: https://example.com/profile/3417540329/ From a usability and branding perspective, it would be great if profile URLs could be based on the display name or a user-defined slug – for example: https://example.com/profil/mikel

Of course, only if the user explicitly chooses to enable this option in their profile settings.

This kind of URL would be easier to share, more personal, and easier to remember – while still respecting user privacy, since it would be opt-in only and require unique names.

Is this kind of feature already supported in DateBook, or is it something that could be considered for a future update?

It would be great to have this flexibility – even just a setting to allow a custom public slug that redirects to the user’s profile.

Good day MihailovRA. Actually, there must be the message saying “Data Upgrade Required!”. This message re-saves the old settings. So, no additional actions of you required. Here is 2 ways how to re-save the old settings to the new settings:

1 way:

Done! Now, you can see if the theme settings have been re-saved correctly.

2 way:

  • First, open the theme settings in one browser.
  • Second, install and activate the new theme.
  • Open the theme settings in another browser.
  • Compare and select all options in the new theme settings from the old theme settings.
Done!

I cannot guarantee that the theme settings will not be lost. Just remember the old settings and select them in the new theme settings. After WordPress 6.8.2, we had to change the theme settings functions. It is like to save the theme settings again. I apologize for the inconvenience.
