Hi, I hope you’re doing well. I just purchased your theme [Kraft] from ThemeForest, but I just realized that I accidentally bought the HTML version instead of the WordPress version. I was actually looking for the WordPress theme and only noticed my mistake after completing the download. Would it be possible to exchange my purchase or apply the amount I paid toward the WordPress version instead? I completely understand if that’s not normally allowed, but I thought I’d ask just in case there’s a way to work something out. Thank you very much for your time and understanding. I really love your work! Best regards, Madlene
Hi Madlene,
Thank you so much for your kind message and for purchasing the Kraft theme. I really appreciate your support and kind words!
Unfortunately, purchases on ThemeForest are managed directly by Envato, and authors don’t have access to process exchanges or apply credits between products.
However, you can go ahead and purchase the WordPress version of Kraft, and then submit a refund request for the HTML version you purchased by mistake. Once I receive the refund request on my end, I’ll be happy to approve it right away.
You can submit the refund request here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/newThanks
I need help understanding how to set up a portfolio using the Kraft features. Do you offer a step by step tutorial?
Yes, the documentation includes the steps to get started with setting up the portfolio using Kraft features. It covers the essentials to help you configure and showcase your projects.
If you need any further assistance or get stuck along the way, feel free to reach out, we’re happy to help.
Hi. I finally (!) redesigned and modernized my old website with the Kraft Minimal Portfolio template. Thanks for all your help over a long period! I have two simple questions. 1) On my desktop, the header icon seems to display fine, but in iOS (such as on my ipad) it doesn’t display. Is there some tweak I should make? 2) In the footer that I am using, the social media icons look fine, but is there an easy way to swap the Twitter Icon for “X” as it’s called now, or to add BlueSky, if I later join it, too? Any advice appreciated. You can see my website at https://www.jai2.com .
Hello,
I will check and get back to you.
Thank you
<img class="retina-logo" src="assets/images/logo/logo2x.png" alt="Retina Logo" />Additionally, for the Twitter icon, update to the latest version of Font Awesome to display the ‘X’ icon instead. https://fontawesome.com/
Thanks. How can I set the retina logo image in my template and configure it properly? It displays fine on desktops, just not on iOS. In the email, your code line didn’t display, but I see it now. Should I just incorporate that line? What I have already looks like what you have included. Any help is appreciated. On non-iOS systems it seems to work great.
I think I figured it out. Thank you very much!
That’s great!
Hi, I’m enjoying working on my website. One simple question I have is: Is there a recommended way to put a search function in the header, say with a tiny looking glass icon, or something like that? Thanks much!
Hi,
Currently theme doesn’t have search function in the header. However, if you have Elementor Pro you can create custom header with search function.
Thanks.
Thanks, maybe I am misunderstanding but it seems like Elementor Pro is an entirely different theme and product, more like a WP theme, or Wix or something. Since I’m using Kraft Minimal for a static website, is there any way you might suggest adding a search function to the Kraft Minimal theme? For example, can I just add in a Google search function to the header code? Is it okay to assume that this might be doable?
I didn’t realize that you are using an HTML template, Thank you for the clarification!
Since you’re using an HTML template, just to confirm, are you looking to add a search function in the header that searches your website specifically through Google, or would you like a general Google search feature?
Hi, it would be just to search within the website. Something simple. In my old website I have a Google search function that I was able to incorporate but I used a weird trick of actually having the search code in the footer and a link to that in the header. I’d like to put something in the header.
Maybe it’s easy to do. I don’t know. I was just asking, in the case of my new site, which is based on the Kraft Minimal html theme.
Thanks much,
Fred
“Putting a search field in the menu of an HTML template can be a bit more complicated. You might need some JavaScript for functionality and, depending on the backend, PHP or another server-side language to process the search queries.”
Hi,
Please remove ‘has-children’ class from all the li tags in menu.
Thanks.
Hi. This is a brilliant website design that i’m excited to use! However, i’m very confused how to use the “Tags” feature on the portfolio pages.
I’m glad you’re excited about the website design! When you say “Tags”, are you referring to portfolio category filter?
Yes, on the portfolio pages, below the description, there’s “Tags”, on some pages there’s “Categories.”
I wanted to clarify that the “Tags” and “Categories” on the portfolio pages are currently static elements in the template. They are not dynamic features like those you find in a WordPress setup, where clicking on a tag or category would lead to a dedicated page showing all related items.
In this template, these are meant to be placeholders or indicators, so you can label and organize your work as you see fit. However, they do not link to separate pages. However, if you’d like to create separate static pages for tags or categories, you can create one.
Hi, thanks for your brilliant template – I have 3 issues I cannot find a solution for. Sorry, I am not a developer, so if you could fix the code for me, that would be amazing.
https://www.reinfected.me/1. Mobile navigation doesn’t work – no idea why.
2. I would like to have this grey line at the footer from the home page the same width across all pages – I have no idea how to match it across all pages.
3. Is there any way to switch off More videos in the youtube player when you pause it / at the end of the video clip?
Thank you for your support!
Best, Marcin.
Hi,
1. Mobile navigation doesn’t work – no idea why. Did you make any changes in template’s javascript file or add any new javascript file?
2. I would like to have this grey line at the footer from the home page the same width across all pages – I have no idea how to match it across all pages. Footer is inside post media div on the homepage and in other pages footer is in site-content div. First put Footer in the correct place on the homepage then we can change the width
3. Is there any way to switch off More videos in the youtube player when you pause it / at the end of the video clip? I will check and get back to you.
Thanks.
1. Not at all, never touched it. 2. OK, I will try. 3. Any ideas?
I solved the mobile navigation issue (1).
I also solved problem number 3.
That’s great, you solved both the problems. Let me know once you make the previously mentioned changes in the footer.
This is the problem I cannot solve! Please, help. Also, is it possible to have a white box behind the navigation bar. When I scroll the navigation is barely visible.
In style.css change the values of background-color: #black #black is not a valid property

Hello,

Sorry about my mistake.
Kind Regard,
Renaud.
Hi,
Yes, once you buy a WordPress version create a refund request for the template. https://themeforest.net/item/kraft-minimal-portfolio-wordpress-theme/19313943Thanks.
Here is a follow up question about using the grid template in index-centered-menu.html. I’m still working on the light box section, and things are going well so far. When I click on one of the first lightbox small intro images in the grid, I see the page with a bigger photo of the item displayed. This part is great. Since I am displaying books in my case, this leads me from the smaller image to a larger image of the book cover. What I need to do is also make the larger image clickable, so that it will lead to a place that sells the books or tells more about them. Is this possible? Normally, I might do this in html with assets/images/books/image.jpg>. Or I might create a link around the text underneath the displayed image. Perhaps there is some easy way to do this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I will check and let you know.
Hi,
It’s not possible to link the bigger image but you can create a link around the text underneath the displayed image.
Thanks.
If I can just create a link around the text underneath the large displayed image in lightbox that would work. I’m trying to do that, but when I enclose the text underneath the displayed image with [a href=”website address”]<text underneath displayed image>[/a], it doesn’t seem to work. For example, when I enclose the text after “data-title=”<title of book>”, I get errors. Is there any easy work around? Any advice for an old newbie appreciated!
PS: “[” is only used in this question because it displays, where as ”<” doesn’t seem to in this box.
Is your website live or working on local?
Right now, it’s only on local. You can see what I’m replicating in the grid on my old site, though, at www.jai2.com . It doesn’t have to be exactly the same (I’m trying to use the Kraft layout now). I just need to be able to allow people to click to buy a book or get more information. So if I can, as you say, “create a link around the text underneath the displayed image,” that would work. Under the displayed image in the lightbox, I would just like to put an a href=”xxxx” [click here to buy] /a, or something like that. Again, I can’t get ”< ...>” to display in this box so I have left it out. I’m sure most people using the Kraft grid system also want to put in some sort of link to purchase, or get more info, so I assume I’m probably missing something very basic. Thanks much in advance for any help.
You can disable hover effect, also you can change the layout from 2 columns to 3 or 4, with this style you can put the external link underneath the portfolio image.
Creating link inside lightbox is bit complicated.
Thanks, I’ll try to disable the hover effect. Hopefully it’s easy to do with the code that I am already using (that has the hover effect?)
This style has 2 hover effects, Tilt and Zoom.
In the HTML file find data-captionanimation=”tilt” and change tilt to zoom and if you don’t want hover effect just put none.
Before I go ahead with this a quick question. Since I’ve already created my splash page with the grid layout using the code in index-centered-menu.html, can I just disable the hover effect somehow, put in “none” or “zoom” etc, and then put in a link under the image? Or do I have to make any major changes? Just want to ask before I get too deep into this.
Both the styles (Portfolio image without Title & Portfolio image with title) have different HTML structure. It’s not a major change if you do carefully. Just compare both HTML structures and make necessary changes.
I was able to use the effects you mention (zoom), and to get a caption underneath the image to display, but I must be missing something. I thought from what you said that I could put an external link in the caption text below the portfolio image, but if I do so it seems to generate an html error. Since it’s a portfolio of stuff that I’m advertising, I need to be able to include an external link to help sell the stuff, the way the grid in my old system works when you click on the text under the small book image (www.jai2.com). Am I doing something wrong? I’m referring to your reply of: ” Please check this link https://kraft.caliberthemes.com/template/minimal-portfolio/index-clean.html . You can disable hover effect, also you can change the layout from 2 columns to 3 or 4, with this style you can put the external link underneath the portfolio image.” Any advice is appreciated. I’ve currently got three columns of book cover images in a grid with image zoom effect and captions listed below but I’m stuck.

Hi. I have the Minimal Portfolio theme. I’ve been trying to port my old static html site over to it and have two basic questions. 1) I have created the basic header from the theme, and I’m wondering, when I add more pages later, etc., is there an easy way to change the references in the header? Or is it best to just manually copy the new header into into all the pages? 2) In my old website, I have the following page. www.jai2.com/NENGAJO.htm, where I have lots of snippets of New Year’s cards tightly displayed, and users can see the whole card by clicking on the snippets. In the Minimal Portfolio, would you suggest using the bottom half of the index-centered-menu.html file? Is there an easy way to make the boxes more square and together and to link to the full image? Any suggestions here appreciated. Thanks much!

Since it’s an HTML Template there isn’t any automated way to change the references in the header. You will have to manually copy the new header into all the pages.

You can use the grid layout with lightbox like given in the below page. This page has both lightbox project and page project but you can create this with lightbox only, also you can increase the number of columns and reduce the space between portfolio items. https://kraft.caliberthemes.com/template/minimal-portfolio/portfolio-4-grid.htmlThanks!
For my landing page, I wound up using the lightbox grid layout in the page called index-centered-menu.html. The lightbox function is great and I am trying to use it to show covers of my books, which is what my website is about. One thing that puzzles me is that I can’t figure out how to adjust the number of images that one thumbnail leads to. I have it set up now so that clicking on a thumbnail image of a book cover leads to a large image of the same cover. (eg like using the generic cosmetic icon in the grid). This part works great. However, clicking the image again leads to a stock vimeo image and I can’t figure out where in the code I can disable this. Sometimes I would like clicking on the thumbnail to lead to one static image (for example, just the front cover of one of my books). Sometimes, instead of the second video (vimeo), I would like it to lead to two static images in sequence (for example, the front cover of my book, then the back cover. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Right now, I have what used to be the thumbnail for cosmetics changed to a book cover. Clicking on it leads to a big cover image. But then, clicking again, leads to the stock vimeo image with a dog. In the div code for the particular thumbnail there is nothing referencing the vimeo image. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I’m sure it’s very simple and I am just missing something!

Greetings, thank you for a great template. I have a question regarding the hero images on mobile and tablet. Is there a way to make the hero images prioritize a 100% horizontal edge, rather than a 100% vertical priority?
Hi,
Certainly! Adjusting the priority of the hero images to prioritize a 100% horizontal edge rather than a 100% vertical edge on mobile and tablet devices can be achieved through CSS.
You can use the object-fit property to control how the content of the element should be resized to fit its container.
Here’s how you can do it:
.hero-image {
width: 100%;
height: auto;
object-fit: cover;
}
Thanks for your reply. Do I add this to a <style></style> at the top of the html document, or should I adjust the style.css document?
The class .hero-image is not the actual class it’s just for your understanding. Please share the website URL.
Thank you – I’ll email caliberthemes@gmail.com
Video light-box don´t work.
I have not changed the code in the files. Not even the vimeo video number.
This is the code.

Hi,
The web form on this page https://emmareedturrell.com/speaking-consulting.html results in the following error message. This occurs even though all fields are complete:

Hello! I wanted to know if it was possible to replace the hero header with an .mp4 or a vimeo link?
We have not included any example with hero header but it is possible to have hero header with background video. If you use chatGPT you can get the html and css or you can check on youtube, there are many videos available on how to add video background.
Hi, I’ve been using this theme for my website for a few years now and I’m very happy with it. However, there is one question that keeps nagging me:
I use the grid – layout where when you hover over an image, the title + info appears. When I’m on the mobile version, there is no “hover” of course, so the image is without any infornmation until I click on it, then the title appears only for a brief moment, before I’m taken to the corresponding page.
Is there a way to set it up so that the title and info is permanently displayed in the mobile layout, but keep the hover function in regular layout? Thanks!
Yes, we can make the title and information permanently visible on mobile devices by adding some CSS.
However, the free support period for your Kraft Template has now concluded.
Should you require further support or assistance, we would be delighted to continue supporting you. To do so, you would need to renew your support package.
Thank you!
Thanks for the quick reply! I will do so.
I will share the css shortly.

Done!
I left you a message about the 3D viewer. Don’t worry, I had a cup of tea and worked it out. All good!
That’s great!
Hello, I’m using the Kraft template for my personal artist website and have an issue. I use a Google 3D model viewer to display some works. This works fine on my old Bootstrap site, but nothing displays on the Kraft version of the site. Do you have any idea what I can do to fix this issue?
Here’s the code… <model-viewer style=”width:100%; height:600px;” alt=”#GETITEM.NM_ITEM#” src=”/IMAGES/ITEM/GLB/#GETITEM.ID_ITEM#.glb” ar ar-modes=”webxr scene-viewer quick-look” seamless-poster shadow-intensity=”0” camera-controls> </model-viewer> this is the page…

Hi I’m interested in purchasing the HTML template version of Kraft. Do I just place the template folder inside my root directory or is there any advanced setup that I would need to do? Thanks!
Hi,
Setup isn’t required. Just place the folder inside root directory.
Thank you.
Thanks!
Also, in the HTML template version is the blog fully functional with comments and replies?
Blog isn’t fully functional, additional coding work is required.
If you want blog and portfolio to be dynamic, go for WordPress version. https://themeforest.net/item/kraft-minimal-portfolio-wordpress-theme/19313943Hi. I slowly migrating an older site I built long ago with an Envato theme to the Kraft Minimal theme that I purchased from you. The new theme is very nice and has lovely features, but I have run up against a problem that I suspect might be very easy to solve. I have several long pages, and to navigate them I have created a simple internal html index that links to sections that using anchors on the pages. When clicking on the index items, the display goes to the anchored code, but the fixed header covers up the first part (the most important part) of the anchored section (it’s heading). Is there some easy solution? I have the feeling that I am overlooking something already in the theme you have created. Is there some section to refer to, with internal page index and anchors, that I could refer to or model after? Is there some easy solution?
I don’t have it on-line at this point, so I don’t know how to send a url; I’m just working on the site locally before uploading. But I’m happy to share the sample page code with you if there is a safe way to do that. Should I just send it to the gmail address? One thing I discovered last night is that out of the four large html pages that I have laboriously migrated from my former site, only the pages with the internal navigation using anchors (i.e. an internal index) seem to have this issue. Also, all the unmodified theme pages (the Kraft Minimal originals) do not keep the header visible when scrolling down the page. So in my case, the header only stays fixed on the pages I have built where I have added an in-page index. Maybe there is something about the index I have added that changes the behavior of the header? If so, that might explain why the section titles are being obscured by the header when clicking on the index and going to that section? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I am embarrassed and happy to say that I have solved the problem, which was entirely due to my own stupidity. Somehow (perhaps an errant keystroke), I had a DOUBLE header entry. By deleting the redundant header entry, suddenly the header is no longer fixed. Suddenly, the index and anchors in the page work fine! Thanks for being patient with me! I have to keep an eye on my fingers when doing anything on the keyboard or sometimes a random twitch can ruin everything!
Great to hear you were able to solve the problem on your own and are up and running again! If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.
Hello! I’m having some issues with the Kraft Minimal Portfolio Template. I’m just trying to use a Masonry Grid with a bunch of projects that can be clicked on, see a few images related to each project, and that’s it.
Upon editing, I’m having an issue where the second image in the Lightbox Popup is broken. I can’t seem to find where to change it, but when debugging in chrome I noticed a function runs that adds “ ” after the scripts in the index.html. I’ve looked and looked and can’t seem to find where this function runs, or simply, how I can fix the second image being broken (and add more images to each lightbox popup).
I appreciate the help. Thanks!
Hi,
Did you host the site on web server or working on local?
I’m currently working local. I know that complicates things, but I can host it via github.
Lightbox will function properly on server, it can be local or web.
