Hi, not sure if this has been asked before.
For Evie, is there full width Page template available? So blocks can be wider?
Thank you,
Hi,
Would like to know if there is an option in the Share Button extension for EVIE XT at Post or Page Edit mode to hide it. Like on Contact page, not showing them at the end.
Thank you,
There are 2 options to hide the share button on the post.
1. Using the Customizer, navigate to a single post on your frontend, click the Customize button in the admin bar. Select Blog -> Single Post, and then turn off the Comments, Likes and Share buttons. You can also customize your blog page to hide it from the blog page or archive pages.
2. Deactivate the Share Buttons module under Evie XT -> All Modules.
Cursor option is not listed in the settings as stated in your docs …where is it? can’t find it anywhere
Please ensure you’ve enabled the Cursor module under Evie XT -> All Modules. Then you can customize it under Appearance -> Customize -> Cursor.
Yes! its there active but not showing—I did everything and not showing at all. I can see it listed in plugins and active but not showing in the customize like you said.
Please ensure you’ve updated the Evie theme and Evie XT plugin to the latest version. You can find the changelog at the bottom of the product page: https://themeforest.net/item/evie-creative-network-portfolio-wordpress-theme/40269192#item-description__changelog
Them Version: 1.2.7 and plugins Envie TX 1.2.6 so not sure man all up to date
Thank you for the information you provided! Of course, they are up to date.
You may need to send me your site login details through the Support page so I can check why the Cursor option is not showing up on your site: https://themeforest.net/item/evie-creative-network-portfolio-wordpress-theme/40269192/support
Hi, please, share the demo login account. thanks
Thank you for your interest in our theme!
However, our demo is available to show how the theme display the content in the frontend as this is the primary function of the theme. Also, this theme uses the built-in WordPress Editor so we don’t have a backend demo, you can see how this editor works in an official documentation in the link below instead: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/wordpress-block-editor/Product activation not working! I removed the wordpress several times and install all over and nothing! I have two and using the new one I just bought but not working - please urgent help!
You will find the solution in your support ticket, please check out your email.
I sent you an email guys, second license I just bought but not working, page goes blank and the “install demo” not showing either. can you check your email
I’ve replied to your support ticket, you will find the solution there.
The portfolio page navigation does not work and you have set a limit of 50 projects per page, which is really bad because the page navigation does not work if we want to display all portfolio items. Can you please fix this as soon as possible?
I’m sorry but showing all items on the page can take a long time to load your website and slow down your page download speed, which is not good for SEO.
If you’d like to show all projects without clicking the next page button, then I suggest that you should select the “Infinite Scroll” for the Pagination Type setting under Customize -> Portfolio -> Portfolio Page, and then set the Items per page to 10 or less, which will improve your page download speed.
Anyway, we will remove the limit of the projects per page in the next update so that you can show all items if you’d like.
Regarding the page navigation issue, I will be happy to solve this issue for you, please provide me with more information or give me your web address so I can check it.
This theme is good….. but have you plan an Elementor support for allow to manage pages and project editor using Elementor? thanks
Thank you for your question! We don’t have a specific plan in place at the moment, as the theme was built and designed for WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg), and unfortunately, all blocks and content templates from WordPress Editor won’t work with Elementor by default. It means, we will need to create all the blocks (widgets) and templates for Elementor page builder to make it support Elementor. However, we will look into this and will reach out to you as soon as we do have a plan on it.
How can I disable zoom effect in product detail image? I don’t want to see image zoomed
function evie_child_remove_image_zoom_support() {
remove_theme_support( 'wc-product-gallery-zoom' );
}
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'evie_child_remove_image_zoom_support', 15 );
Also, you can find more on Product gallery features in the link below:
https://developer.woocommerce.com/docs/classic-theme-development-handbook/#1-declaring-woocommerce-supportHello again,
I bought this theme a while ago, but hadn’t had the opportunity to use it until now that I have time. It’s really a great theme, fast and beautiful.
I’m just here to report another error I found.
In the options: Typography -> Base Font and Headings
It says: If no unit is specified, px will be used by default.
So, my problem is the following: I select the Base Font at 16px which only applies to the BODY tag; the HTML tag has a font size of 62.5%, which is a Base Font of 10px, which I imagine is to make the conversion to EM or REM values easier.
Now, while all this is correct, when I modify the values of Typography -> Headings, in the boxes where you enter the value. I put a value of 2.8rem to make the Headings 28px. However, these boxes do not accept decimal values.
So if you specify 2.8rem, this value is not reflected; the actual reflected value is 2. I tried again with a value of 3rem, and this value is reflected (30px). Could you make these boxes accept the specified real value? For example, 2.8rem should be correctly reflected and respect the 28px instead of the actual 20px that appears.
Thank you very much and have a good day.
Indeed! That’s because the value has been sanitized and converted to an integer before saving to the database. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, we will fix it in the next update of the theme.
In the meantime, you can use a PX instead to work around this issue.
Hi again,
Bug Report: Custom Fonts Not Applied on Login Page
Module: “Custom Fonts”
Issue:
Custom Fonts are not being applied on the Login Page (wp-login.php).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Activate the “Custom Fonts” Module 2. Upload Custom Fonts 3. Change Custom Fonts under “Customize” > Typography > Base Font and Headings 4. Log out 5. Go to the Login Page (wp-login.php) 6. Notice that the custom fonts are not applied as expected
Expected Behavior:
Custom fonts should be correctly applied on the Login Page.
Hi, thank you for reaching out!
Unfortunately, the login page is a WordPress built-in page, it doesn’t load the theme’s stylesheets like other pages do. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, we will fix it in the next update of the theme.
FYI, you may use the third party plugin like WPForms to create a custom login page so that it will have the same styles (including custom fonts) as other pages.
Bug Report
When you try to change one of the following taxonomies of projects in the Permalink Settings section:
Project category base: project-category Project attribute base: project-attribute Project tag base: project-tag
To another name, it simply doesn’t work.
The option of Project permalinks: Custom base
Works correctly.
Indeed! Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention. It will be fixed ASAP!
Hello, I really love the theme but I just have a pre-purchase question. Is it possible to show a few different categories of porfolio projects on a page and also have them filterable. So say I have 10 portfolio categories, can I select 3 of them and showcase the project from just those 3 on one page, and you can still show the filter?
Also, could you send me a link to your documentation please? Just so I can take a look before I purchase.
Thanks so much!
Hello, thank you for inquiring about our theme!
Actually, you can choose portfolio projects from specific categories to show on a page using a Posts block. Unfortunately, that block doesn’t have a filter as the filter is only available on archive pages.
However, if you’d like to show projects from specific categories with a filter, then you will need to add a custom hook into functions.php in your child theme to select projects from specific categories to show on an archive page.
Also, you can find the documentation here: https://evietheme.com/documentation/
Ok great. Thanks for letting me know!
You’re welcome
How to add a translation field to the index.js field in the evie-xt plug-in in the po? The translation fields you updated on April 21st were very few. If you are busy, you can tell me how to add translation fields in indx.js to the po. Thanks. #: modules/portfolio/js/index.js:794
We’ve updated the translation template file (evie.pot) in the latest version so that you can translate all strings in the blocks and the editor settings using the Loco Translate plugin. All you have to do is update the theme and all bundled plugins (Flextension and Evie XT) to the latest version. You don’t need to add those fields manually. You can find the changelog here: https://themeforest.net/item/evie-creative-network-portfolio-wordpress-theme/40269192#item-description__changelog
However, if you’ve already created a PO file from the old POT version, then you can click the “Sync” button to add new fields into your current PO file.
I bought your theme and the translation was completed. Although you updated the translated characters, most of the characters on the editing page are still in the index.js of the plug-in. What I want to translate now is modules/portfolio/js/index .js characters in this file. The other 65% is in index.js. Do you understand what I mean?
Sorry, I made a mistake. It is in this file modules/portfolio/js/block-editor.js . I can’t translate the fields here.
Of course, I do understand! However, it turns out that the problem is from the webpack optimization module which we use to bundle JavaScript files. It changes the translation function’s name while building the script files then some fields are not included in the POT file. That’s why you couldn’t find them.
We’re working on fixing it and will release a new update ASAP. Thank you for reporting this issue.
FYI: We just updated Evie XT plugin and Flextension plugin to fix this issue. If you’ve enabled the “Automatic Update” feature under the Evie XT settings, then you will see a notification to update these plugins.
After you update them, you will need to click the “Sync” button on the translation editing screen to update the content in your PO file so that you will be able to translate the fields in the portfolio editor.
Thank you, I will update your plugin simultaneously. When editing the page, there are many translation fields on the right that have not been added. You can check it out. 65% have no translation field. Hope you can add it.
We’ve added all fields into the latest update of the theme and bundled plugins. You have to translate the Evie theme, Evie XT plugin and Flextension plugin as those fields are from different sources.
However, if you couldn’t find some fields, they might be included in another plugin. Anyway, please let me know so that I can check it for you.
Hello, thank you very much. I submitted the question completely to the project support because there were too many missing fields. I won’t submit it here. grateful.
Thank you for the information you provided, we will check it and get back to you soon.
format-underline.js.map
Error message, this file is missing flextension/extensions/editor/js/format-underline.js.map
woocommerce background check, Error message, this file is missing flextension/extensions/editor/js/format-underline.js.map
This is just a warning message and it won’t cause any problems on your site. There was an issue with the build script in the recent version so it didn’t remove the source map link from the script file. Thank you for reporting this issue. It will be fixed in the next update of the Flextension plugin.
New question! Why is there no demo content in the shop? I see that your shop settings are very beautiful. Items can be purchased in a choice of colors. It’s very difficult for us without demonstrations. I hope you can provide us with demonstration data. We can refer to it. Thanks
That’s because the online shop is optional and WooCommerce plugin itself also comes with the sample data so the theme doesn’t include a demo content for a shop page. You can find the instructions on how to import WooCommerce sample data here: https://woo.com/document/importing-woocommerce-sample-data/
Hello, I checked some fields of the flextension plug-in and added po, but it still cannot be translated. These fields: Carousel Gallery Displays multiple images in a carousel gallery. Contains all the fields on this page, but you have not added them. My skills are not good enough. I hope you can help me add the fields in this screenshot. I am translating it myself. Thanks
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with our theme. That text is included in the Gallery block and there seems to be an issue with the block translation so you couldn’t translate it into another language. We’re working on fixing it and will release the next update ASAP. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
On the project editing page, there are many fields that have not been added and we have no way to translate them.
It’s the same issue as above, those fields are in the blocks. We’re working on it. Again, thank you for reporting this.
Upload svg prompt The server cannot process the image. This can happen if the server is busy or doesn’t have enough resources to complete the task. Uploading smaller images may help. The recommended maximum size is 2560 pixels. How to solve, we have to upload svg.
By default, WordPress doesn’t allow you to upload SVG image to your site. That’s because there are potential security concerns with the image format. You may need to install the third party plugin or add a custom hook to achieve this. You can find more details here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-svg-in-wordpress/
Hello author, I would like to ask you politely before purchasing. Can this theme support multi-language translation plug-ins?
Yes, you can use it with WPML or Polylang. However, you will need to disable the Single Page feature to make it work properly.
Can you add multi-language translation? We won’t add it!
We’re sorry but we can’t translate the theme into another language as we don’t have a translation team. However, this theme comes with a POT file that is ready for translation, you can use the Loco Translate plugin to translate any text in the theme into another language. You can find more details in our documentation: https://evietheme.com/documentation/#translation
I have purchased it. Is the theme compatible with the elementor editor? The Gutenberg editor is too difficult to use.
All blocks and demo content were created by WordPress Editor (Gutenberg) so I recommend that you use the theme with WordPress Editor. However, you may use the theme with Elementor but you will need to create a page and content from scratch.
After install new version I see a black box on every page …centered. Why?
I’m sorry but I couldn’t reproduce this issue on my site. However, please ensure you’ve also updated all bundled plugins to the latest version. Also, if you’ve a cache plugin installed on your site, try to clear the caches to see if it works.
If it doesn’t work, you may need to send me your web address so I can check it for you.
I see this (in Home Page) desktop
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ss8355hqmwhxr28/Screenshot%202024-02-25%20alle%2018.01.27.png?dl=0If I check with inspector seems this: flext-live-search
All plug-in updated!!
It might be a caching issue. Make sure you’ve purged all caches after you update the theme. Also, try pressing Ctrl + F5 (or CMD + SHIFT + R on Mac) to clear your browser caches to see if it works.
If it still doesn’t work, you will need to send me your web address so I can check it. You can send the link through the contact form on our profile page: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact
I still have issue, I sent you a message
Thank you for your message!
It seems like you’re still using the old version of the bundled plugins. The latest update of the Evie theme comes with Flextension 1.3.4 and Evie XT 1.2.0, as you can see in the changelog here: https://themeforest.net/item/evie-creative-network-portfolio-wordpress-theme/40269192#item-description__changelog
After you update the theme, you will see a notification message at the top of your WordPress admin page if there is a new update available for the bundled plugins, click the “Begin updating plugins” to install the new update of the bundled plugins. If the notification was dismissed, you can navigate to Appearance -> Install Plugins to install them.
You will find more on how to update bundled plugins in our documentation: https://evietheme.com/documentation/#update-plugins
