Detailed Specification: “Estate Agent” User Role Implementation for Listeo Objective
To make the Listeo theme more suitable for real estate listings, we want to introduce a dedicated user role called “Estate Agent” in addition to the existing “Owner” and “Guest” roles. This will allow us to categorize and label users properly as:
Estate Agents – professional realtors or agencies who list properties on behalf of clients.
Owners – individuals listing their own properties.Customers/Visitors – users browsing, inquiring, or booking listings.1. User Registration OptionsDuring registration, users should be able to select their account type:
Estate Agent
Owner
Customer
Implementation:
Add a “User Type” selection (radio or dropdown) on the registration form.
Based on the selection:
Assign WordPress role estate_agent
Or assign owner / customer respectively
These roles should be visible in the User Profile and Admin Users table.
2. Role CapabilitiesEach role will have specific capabilities:
Estate Agent
Can create and manage multiple listings (properties).
Can edit, delete, and update their listings.
Can manage client inquiries/messages related to their listings.
Can upload profile photo, logo, and contact info (phone, email, WhatsApp).
Optionally can connect their agency profile (if multi-agent feature is needed later).
Displayed publicly as “Agent” on listings they’ve created.
Owner
Can create and manage their own single or few listings.
Has similar rights as Estate Agent but limited to their own property (no agency fields).
Displayed as “Owner” on their listings.
Customer
Can register, favorite listings, make inquiries, or send messages.
Cannot create listings.
3. Listing Author LabelEvery property/listing page should show the author’s role clearly, e.g.:
Agent: John Williams or Owner: Mrs. Ben Paul
This label should:
Be displayed on the listing card and single listing page.
Link to the author’s profile page (agent or owner dashboard).
Ability list user role Agent for easy access to find property agents around
4. Agent Profile PageEach Estate Agent should have a public profile page showing:
Agent name, photo/logo, contact info.
Bio/Description field.
List of all their active property listings.
Contact form for inquiries.
Example URL: /agents/john-williams/
5. Backend ManagementIn the WP Admin panel:
Admin can view and filter users by type (Estate Agent, Owner, Guest).
Admin can manually change a user’s role.
Admin can view which listings belong to which agent/owner.
6. Frontend Dashboard AdjustmentsFor Estate Agents:
“My Listings” tab → show all properties created by the agent.
“Add Listing” button → accessible to Estate Agent and Owner roles only.
“My Profile” → include agent-specific fields (Company name, License No., WhatsApp, etc.)
7. Optional EnhancementsTo make it even more powerful later:
Enable agency structure (main agent + sub-agents).
Allow customers to “Contact Agent” directly from property pages.
Add search filters like “Listed by Agent / Owner” on the front end.
✅ Expected Outcome
After implementation:
Registration will allow users to choose “Estate Agent” or “Owner.”
Listings will display who listed them (Agent or Owner).
Estate Agents can manage multiple properties professionally.
Admin has clear control over all roles and listings.

Even second photo on desktop smaller res looks bad when it sends the second month underneath. For no reason.
There is no device with such resolution. It doesn’t make sense to review mobile behavior by resizing browser size on desktop to the size that mobile devices do not use.
It looks properly on smartphone. Even on airbnb you have multiple months showing at once not just one.
Have you seen the second photo in the link? I constantly see that and it makes it impossible or hard to hit apply. Mouse scroll does not apply to filter area.

All sections of the single listing page being available as options to include in paid packages — for example: map, my other listings, related listings, and points of interest. 2. In the owners’ area, having an overlay on blocked sections with the message “upgrade to PRO plan.” 3. Filter to show only listings that are open now. 4. Option for a switch button to toggle between monthly and yearly paid plans. From what I’ve seen, if I offer plans PRO 1, PRO 2, and PRO 3 with monthly and yearly options, I would have to display six items on the plan selection screen. 5. Can the header be modified with Elementor? 6. Do we have the option to include a fixed search button in the header on all pages — especially in the mobile version?

Hi there. I just read in these comments that there is a demand for “tabbed content” for custom fields. So there will be new tabs added on the listing page and user can easily navigate to the content. please put me “on the list”. I find that feature very useful. There could be a new area “News” for example and every Listingowner can leave some info on about what are the latest news to their business. Thank you

You can do that in Elementor if you have PRO version and will edit single listing layout, there’s option to create link to custom section there

We were talking with someone else about splitting custom fields into tabs, not listing menu. I will think about making listing content in tabs but not sure about this from UX/UI. Scrolling makes less effort than clicking + user can directly reach section he wants by clicking sticky menu.

1. I will create many custom fields for each listing. Can I store this content in tabs to save space on the (listing) details page? Do you have a demo of this?
2. Can I use Elementor to build new pages for the listings and show the content from my custom fields? In other words, each listing might have six new separate pages of content that I can link to from the parent page.
3. Is it easy or possible to add, remove or reorder things on the listing page?
4. Is it easy to import a list of people and data (like from a CSV or Excel file)?
5. Can I import data using an API?
6. If a user buys advertising, can they manage their ad account with their regular user account? Or do they need to create a separate account with these privileges?
7. For the category URLs, can they have a parent’s-child URL path? In other words, for apartments located in Los Angeles, can you have /California/Los-Angeles/apartments/
8. The URL for the listing pages is a simple straightforward name based on that page. What if there’s 10 companies with the same company name? What will the URL look like?

A) If I add custom fields for a listing, how will they show up and be accessible on the listing page? Will it be an anchor link towards the top of the page that can be clicked and then goes to that section on the page?
In reference to my second question above, basically I was saying with my new custom fields I might have a lot of data. It might be too much to have on one page. So I was thinking about breaking it up into multiple pages. So I was wondering if this was possible or if you had an idea on how to do it?
C) I see you have custom listing types in beta. This is very important to me. When do you think that will be available?
D) It would be nice to have the option of tapped content. I see another directory theme has that feature.

If a listing is manually created by myself, and not claimed by the owner, can people still make bookings?
How would this work?
Is it best to make none claimed listings, not bookable? Is it best to make none claimed listings, not bookable, and provide their contact information? but then I would make no commission. If a listing is not claimed, how would the availability (ical) work?

Claim status has nothing to do with booking status or other modules of the listing. It’s just the information if the listing is owner/verified by the actual owner, and that’s on you as site admin to decide. I mean if you added a listing and you have bookings enabled those bookings goes to you as author, probably not the best idea if the actual owner of the place doesn’t know about it

Hello. I have seen a comment saying that you are adding hotel booking to this theme. That would be amazing, and exactly what I am looking for.
Please can you tell be if it will give the ability to add a hotel, and add rooms to the hotel. And then check the availability of the room via iCal.
It wouls also be great it the same feature could be adapted so that it could be hotels, or workspaces or studios.

Say I have a hotel with 100 rooms, each with their own availability, could these be bulk edited ? Giving rooms numbers and their own availability who be greats.

For the Event Type, is there a front end calendar feature that displays the events, or only grid view? This is the only feature I see that I will require for my project in order to invest in this theme. Thank you. If not, could it be considered and implemented?

I am still not sure what you mean. Each event is basically a listing and you can display them just like any other listings and filter by date using search filters.

We actually want to use the extra services option for things like hotel pickups, lunch, or additional upgrades, not for basic participant pricing.
For tours and activities, it’s really essential to have different base prices per participant type (Adult / Child / Infant).
It shouldn’t be too hard to integrate since this exact function already exists in your rental listings, just adapting it to the service booking type would make a huge difference for many of us offering tours or activities.
Would you consider adding this functionality? It would make the plugin much more flexible and complete.
