Bought your theme years ago. Now I get complaints about my website not being responsive, not working good on smartphones. Should there be an option to update the theme and if yes, how? I use wordpress and my website is nestwaerme.li. I don’t want to renew support yet if I don’t know if I can fix this at all.

We’re on the fence of updating SR. SR had left Envato. Now they set their rule instead of playing Envato’s rule. I’m afraid the plugin will require license code to run. Even not this version but they’ll leave a backdoor for that possibility in the future. We’ll consider this problem. As a customer, please let me know your thought.

Well, thank you for your answer. Actually this encourages my decision to use another slider plugin for new projects. As the old version of SR has a security issue, I cannot continue to use it. I also don’t feel like paying a recurring fee for the very low complexity level I used to use SR with.

Hello I have this theme installed. I got it years ago on a different account I can no longer log into. So now I need to repurchase it. My main concern is losing the overall look and feel of my website by reinstalling this theme.
I have to reinstall it because I am getting messages of outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files.
Also is there documentation of how to UPDATE the theme? Or do i just reinstall it?

My client´s site is still using Sonata theme, which I know has since been retired from Themeforest.
I recently updated the newest version of WP and there are errors being thrown up, so I think it is time to invest in a new theme that is actively updated.
The client´s site using Sonata currently makes heavy use of the wi: Shortcodes and wi: Portfolio plugins. I am wondering if this theme or any of your others are compatible with these plugins, so that we would not have to start over from scratch rebuilding the whole site? We have a lot of portfolio pages which I guess might be lost of that is not supported?
Any help in the right direction would be great!

Apparently there is an issue with blocks because WordPress made changes. Now all my sidebars are the wrong size and I’m getting all kinds of widget and appearance error messages. I updated to WPBakery 8.0.1. Does this theme need another update? I resent having to renew support here every time WordPress makes changes like this.

I appreciate your reply, especially so quickly. I installed the widget, and I’m not getting dozens of error messages anymore, but the sidebars are still way too large. They were fine before the WordPress changes. On the pages that list my blog posts, the sidebar covers over part of the content. It appears that something got reset to make the sidebars on all the blog posts and summary pages take up half the width, and so the sidebars are overwhelming the content, but the sidebars on all my regular pages are the correct size.
I can’t give you my website and login information in a public forum like this. So how else can I do that?
Do you ever intend to update the theme to work with the WordPress changes? I actually hate WordPress’s block editing and always use WPBakery, but it seems WordPress is trying to make that impossible. I love the Simple and Elegant theme and have used it for several years. I hope I can continue to use it. Do you think that will be possible?

Is the use of WPBakery Page Builder obligatory with this theme? In other words, can I use the theme without activating the plug-in WPBakery Page Builder?
Hi WPBakery Page Builder.
Theoretically you can use the theme without WPBakery Page Builder but theme functionality will be limited while all interesting elements like Portfolio, Gallery.. are built from that page builder.
However, if you only use Blog, Single Posts, Pages, WooCommerce shop.. then WPBakery Page Builder is unnecessary.
Short answer: If you don’t activate that plugin and you still feel ok, then you don’t need it. It’s not something essential for the theme, only a value-added plugin.

Hello, I am managing 2 sites with this theme and both have the same issue which appeared recently. The rev slider on the home page does not show as full screen on first page load. if I go to a different browser tab and then return to my wedding site the slider displays as full width – very weird.
If I refresh the page it goes back to the incorrect not full width! Switch tabs back & forth – full screen.
All plugins & WP is up to date, I cleared all caching and disabled the cache plugin completely on one site, didn’t help.
