Je me permets de vous contacter car je rencontre quelques difficultés avec le thème que j’ai acheté chez vous. Je précise que je n’ai pas de compétences techniques en développement web, et que j’utilise Brizy comme constructeur de pages.
Voici les soucis que je rencontre :
1. Header : j’ai bien créé un en-tête (header), mais en version mobile, les éléments passent à la ligne et l’affichage devient désordonné. J’aimerais que tout reste sur une même ligne ou que le menu se transforme proprement en menu hamburger.
2. Footer : j’ai également créé un pied de page (footer) avec un menu, mais le même problème se produit : le menu s’étale sur plusieurs lignes au lieu de rester aligné ou de s’adapter correctement en mode mobile.
3. Documentation Datebook : pourriez-vous m’expliquer à quoi sert cette documentation et les codes qui s’y trouvent ? J’aimerais comprendre si je dois m’en servir pour personnaliser certains éléments du thème.
4. Swiper des profils : enfin, j’aimerais savoir comment activer ou mettre en place la fonction “swiper” pour faire défiler les profils (comme sur une application de rencontre par exemple). Pourriez-vous me guider sur la marche à suivre ?

Je rencontre plusieurs problèmes avec les traductions du thème DateBook que je viens d’acheter :
1. La traduction native du thème n’est pas complète. Certaines phrases et certains mots ajoutés dans l’interface restent en français, même lorsque je sélectionne une autre langue (par exemple l’espagnol).
2. La traduction anglaise a disparu. Je la voyais auparavant mais elle n’apparaît plus. Pourriez-vous m’indiquer comment la restaurer ?
3. Dois-je traduire manuellement tous les menus ? Certains semblent ne pas être pris en charge par la traduction automatique du thème.
Pourriez-vous s’il vous plaît :
m’orienter sur la bonne méthode pour gérer les traductions avec votre thème ;
me confirmer s’il existe des captures d’écran ou une documentation détaillée ;

When I click the search button (example.com/searching/), sometimes it takes more than 15 seconds to load the profiles.
My hosting provider mentioned that the issue may be caused by database table fragmentation, which can slow down WordPress search queries. Repairing the database rebuilds the tables and indexes, which helps improve loading speed.
This usually happens over time as WordPress and its plugins continuously add, update, and remove data. To prevent this from happening again, they recommended performing regular database optimization and basic maintenance.
They also suggested the following steps:
1. Install a database optimization plugin such as WP-Optimize or Advanced Database Cleaner.
2. Periodically clean up transients and spam comments, as they can accumulate and bloat the database.
Ok, I see. The search looks at these fields: meta_key and meta_value in the wp_postmeta table
You could try to add a new index to both fields “meta_key” and “meta_value”.
Actually, “meta_key” already has index. But it is better to create a new index for 2 fields at once.
I doubt cleaning the database will help. It is better to add index

For your information, after I installed WP-Optimize, it now only takes 3–5 seconds when I click the search button (example.com/searching/). Previously, it usually took more than 15–20 seconds to load the profiles.

If widgets are not visible, then check if they have been added here: WordPress -> Appearance -> Widgets.

First. You created a “Places I Want to Visit” field. But you added a heart symbol into this field. This was a problem! The theme could not (could not accept) save that symbol correctly. Thus, a profile data was saved incorrectly. That symbol also broke the layout of profile page.
Second. In the theme settings, you selected these options (here WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Profile):
- Users must upload a photo before using the website
- User must complete his profile before using the website
These 2 options force a profile to become private until an image will be uploaded and profile fields will be fill in and saved.
In short, when the theme detects/sees that those both fields in profiles are not completed, then the theme re-saves profiles as private (deactivates a profile).
I have corrected everything and re-saved profiles. Now everything works properly.

No, nothing will be deleted if you follow all 3 steps here WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer.
When you click on “3. Install demo content”, only 30 new demo profiles will be created/added. Other sample data like Forms, Custom fields, and other demo data will not be installed or re-installed again.
This is strange that you cannot find “datebook_profile_custom_fields” in wp_options. Try to do the following:
- - go here WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> open some field for editing -> change something in the field -> Save.
- Now, “datebook_profile_custom_fields” must appear in wp_options.
When I said “But if you install the custom fields and then deleted them, then now, you should add custom fields manually” – It means, that Custom Fields has sample fields (Wish to meet, weight, height and etc). Those sample fields were installed by the theme when you clicked on “3. Install demo content”.
But if you deleted those sample custom fields, then the theme will not install them again. So, from now, you have to create a “weight” field (and other “wish to meet, weight”, “height”) manually again.
For example: you deleted a “weight” field, and now you want to install it again here WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer -> “3. Install demo content”. No, this theme installer will not create the field second time. Now, you have to go here WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> click on a Add new button -> create a new field “weight”.

So the moderation bar at the top of the page which has the tabs Home – Profiles – Images – Classifeids – Tours – Descriptions.
When i click on any tab i get a 404 page not found error. This is quite an issue im having.

Edit: I have resolved this issue. Looks like it was answered in a earlier comment. Answer: Create a new page. Give it a slug ”moderation”. Select the template “DateBook Moderation” in this page. Done! Now, the moderation page must work.

Sorry, we do not have video. How to register. Just click on the Register click on the website. After that you will be redirected to the registration page. On the registration page, fill in all fields, click on the Submit button. After the registration, an email with a verification link will be sent to your email box. Open that email message, click on the Confirmation link. Done! Now your profile is active.
After that, you should upload an image, fill in the Edit profile page. After all, you should go to the Subscription page and select a plan. On the next page, you can select a payment option. Select a payment provider (PayPal, Paystack, or any other payment gateway you installed). You will be redirected to the payment website. There you can pay. Done! Now the subscription plan you selected will be activated.

For some reason your datebook theme have sections that does not work or you activate something and then another section does not work anymore.
Here are examples:
1. Approve new tours automatically

These settings do not work and the tours only work when I turn these settings off.
2. Then you have this weird section also under Tours that does not work at all
Enable my tours Yes Introduction text Example: Invite me to your country so we both have funny time
why that is there, no one knows but it does not work.
3. Classified ads keeps saying ‘you do not have permission to post an ad, complete profile’
The only time this section works is if you disable ’ User must complete his profile before using the website’
I have tried solutions based on older comments, but they don’t work so don’t suggest them again, they don’t work.
4. Then this section does not work at all and it has never worked

5. Manually activate new profile: this section does not work.
You have sections on the site that does not work and there’s constantly bugs. Whenever someone does an update the whole site goes into errors, you need to get this plugin working properly man.
People keep suggesting good features for you to add because it will make the theme much better but then you go and add sections that is not relevant or not important. This plugin is nice but it’s frustrating and you need to get it functioning properly please.

Cool thanks, we discussed an important feature months ago where users are able to delete individual messages when they have made a mistake or correct the message, this is an important feature to add because users make mistakes and want to change or delete the individual text in the text box. Please look into it to add to the theme. Also tours and classified ads must be added to a subscription, that will give us more control because now anyone can post an ad or tour on any subscription. Please consider this too.

I did do this when I installed the theme and it’s been working fine, only when I put in an email in the moderation box does it give me this error, I even went to gender field and resaved, still gives me error. All ‘Tips’ under the reserved field sections is not showing.

On the first screenshot, that bug was in old versions. Try to install the latest version of the theme 4.9.7.
On the second screenshot, image does not become the default photo. It is difficult to say. Perhaps, some cache works. Try to update the page in the browser with CTRL + F5.

Can you please consider to setup a “supporters only” ticket system to prioritize supporters over non-supporters? I understand you want to give the support for free but many creators require a license within an external portal to give support. If you stop giving away milk for free people tend to buy it. This template is creating or helping creating businesses that probably make some money and i think they should give back to you and your team.
to all others: DON’T BE CHEAP!! you get a theme for 60$ and then expect unlimitted support for free? there is only one outcome, and i’ve seen it before, authors will stop developing the theme because it is no longer worth the fight, the time, and the energy they put into it.
It is basic decency to pay for a service people deliver and Pagick is doing and amazing job – so why not pay him?
by the way, themeforest is not protecting users against deactivation of themes. the authors rights are specifically stated in the TOS of themeforest and all authors have the right to discontinue a theme in themeforest at any time without warning.
and this is why I am supporting authors i bought and use products and services for.
again: DONT BE CHEAP its maybe 30$ per 6 months or even half with the promo (if you renew earlier)
