The best thing to do is to have quality content and good page titles…
ps: You can always edit your page in HTML editor (not Visual) where you can do whatever you want with headings…
On my homepage, I’d like to change the “branding”, “logo design”, “print”, “copyright” squares under the main picture so that there are only 3 icons there rather than 4. Can you explain to me how to make that change? Thank you. And thank you for answering my previous question.
Also, I’ve really messed up this whole site. Rather than replace your page content with mine, I’ve erased too many media items and pages to have something to follow. Is it possible to re-install your theme? Will I loose some of the work I’ve already done?

You can import XML and nothing will be deleted (you’ll have many new pages, so just be sure not to delete your content…)

I followed the instructions, deleting content and importing bigbangwp.xml again. The site is not functioning and missing all the content.

You have to edit/crop images before uploading to the server. To link to other site, you’ll have to install redirection plugin where you’ll define these URLs…
In the Brankic demo, there is a portfolio page called “aligned” http://demo.brankic.net/bigbangwp/column-4/different-sizes-with-fixed-height/ where the artwork is viewed as the same size, though they aren’t cropped as the same sizes – some are portrait, some landscape. Can you tell me where I can find this page? Thank you for the answer to the link question.

I’ve totally forgot about that option (update).
In the portfolio shortcode there is an option HEIGHT. If you insert any integer into, images will be cropped and you’ll have aligned grid.
That advice just saved me about 12 hrs of cropping. Thank you!

I know this is a simple fix, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to make the “About” button on my menu bar lead no where. I want to be able to click on it and have nothing happen. I only want the drop-down options to lead to other pages, which they do. Right now, “About” goes to the “Team” page.

Now when you click on About, “javascript:void()” shows up in the URL bar and “Safari can’t open the page” comes across the screen. Is there a way to the user to click on About and have nothing happen?

Create posts and assign them to some category. Unless you’re using latest posts widget, nobody can see URLs to these posts.
Once you have enough blog material just add your blog category to menu and that’s it…
I need to provide the cat id for the new portfolio category I’ve just created but don’t know where to find it.
Actually, disregard that last post. Figured that out. Heres the new issue.
On my individual portfolio items, the button that returns you to all seems to be broken and linking to a page that does not exist: column-4/different-sizes-with-fixed-height/
I think this is because I imported the default posts and then removed them. How do i change this back to link to portfolio?

for each portfolio post you have to define link to parent page. This is last option in Brankic custom fields…
Just bought the theme and like it a lot. Almost figured out everything except for one item. On your demo page you have a large full width image slider: http://demo.brankic.net/?theme=BigBangWP

Hi I finished the website but I d like to use prettyphoto to open the link to our youtube videos from the homepage slide show. The slideshow opens any local images in the lighbox effect but if you add a youtube or flickr link in the extra images link it actually goes to the youtube site and does not open the video in lightbox. thank you

Hi, I am having a few issues with my site. 1. I want to make the full portfolio boxes a link when you hover over them. 2. All the Vimeo video’s I embed or enter into the ‘prettyPhoto’ source come out as really short in height and long in width (Stretched). How do I get it to appear as a regular size?

1. Not easy at all. You can only have hover=”no” option in shortcode but in that case you won’t have preview option.
2. It’s a prettyPhoto issue. You can edit default pop-up size in javascript/prettyPhoto.js near the end of the file…

Banner images are Extra images. Extra images can be used on any PAGE, so if you want to have slider on home page, you have to choose page in Settings -> Reading

Hi again Brankic, How can I have 2 Blog pages? I have working the way I want but when created the 2nd one, it looks like a normal page and not able to post articles there like a normal page does. What settings should i configure to have 2 blog pages working? I am setting them as 2 separate tabs and not as parent-child relationship.
Not sure if I understand issue with 2nd blog page. Maybe you have same page and category slug, so WP is using category template which has different style. Check Brankic Panel -> Blog for category style setting…

Hi there, having an issue with the sidebar on one of the portfolio pages: It’s working fine when no sidebar is activated (showing 4 columns nicely), but when I choose a sidebar for this page, the “inner-content” section resizes to 700px to allow for the sidebar but the “portfolio-grid” the portfolio grid area still takes up the entire full width and therefore overlaps onto the right hand sidebar.
Does that mean that any portfolio pages cannot be used with a sidebar? Seems an annoying quirk so please can you let me know if there is a solution?

Check the ID of category you’re using. Use portfolio shortcode button and choose right category…
Hi! The cat_id I have now is 14. But I don’t know where that comes from. On my portfolio page stands:

I am using landscape images and the portfolio shortcut is still distorting my images in preview (using shape=’circle’ with no height). I do not want to square off all my images as it’s a photography site and I would like the images to appear in it’s full glory. Please advise.

You can’t do it if you’re using portfolio custom post type. It’s possible only in “normal” posts…

You can’t change it easily. There is no option for that…
how can we do it then? You have the color option in the Brankic panel that says color. If you change the color to anything else that you have as options it does not work. I dont know why you’d say its not an option if you clearly have it in the option panel on the backend.
You can easily change color style. You can also modify CSS for each color scheme.
I said it’s not that easy to change it through Extra CSS. You’ll have to edit css/colors/color-X.css manually…

you can add a new class in the style sheet that uses a korean font like gulim and then use those tags in the html side. google font doesnt have any korean fonts so it will be hard to find one that looks really good with korean
