Hello, I was reading somewhere that you intend to make more significant updates with substantial features instead of smaller, more frequent releases. I would suggest that you make a significant update, for example, adding a plugin, and then improving that plugin month by month, because what has happened is that you have added a plugin with liveblog that could be improved, and then you left it there and never made any further changes to it. Or you could launch a plugin and then make some substantial modifications to it over the weeks or months. But there are many things that can be done, such as including AI for headlines or content generation. Make the images you upload small or large so that they automatically fit the main image of a post without having to crop them to size and not having them fit exactly. There are things that can be improved without having to go three months without updates. You can always update something and think about a big update at the same time. Let’s hope that after three months without updates, it’s worth the wait, because it’s also risky to generate so much expectation. I say this as one of your earliest consumers.

Based on your reply to vifranqui about the site boxed layout, I assume you’re offering it for free? Because I sent you an email last August 2022 (i can still reply on that email thread) asking the same thing and you were charging for it. I don’t want to renew support, as we won’t be going back and forth, I just need a way to implement the site-wide boxed layout for a global background. It’d be quite disappointing if you’d be paywalling this information.

In the custom taxonomies, there was a problem preventing the proper lazy load / infinite loading of the next posts within the taxonomy archives. Has this been fixed or updated in recent versions so that lazy loading now works correctly for custom taxonomy pages?

We are currently using the Foxiz theme on two news websites, and we have identified two specific issues regarding the way dates are displayed that we believe could be improved.
1. The “last updated” date is automatically displayed on all articles as soon as they are published, with exactly the same date, time, and even the same minutes as the publication date. In practice, this makes the article appear as if it has already been updated, even though no real modification has taken place yet. This creates confusion for readers and gives the impression of an artificial update, which affects editorial consistency and overall credibility.
2. The update date is currently displayed on a separate line from the publication date. For better readability and a cleaner layout, it would be much clearer if both the publication date and the update date appeared on the same line, when a real update actually exists.
Would it be possible to add an option that displays the update date only when a genuine modification has been made to the article, and does not display any update date at all when no change has occurred after the initial publication, in order to avoid any confusion for readers ?
This would significantly improve transparency, editorial credibility, and the overall user experience, especially for news websites.

Hello, Thank you for your reply and for sharing the documentation link. On our side, the SEO schema and Google date handling are already fully managed by Yoast SEO Premium, and there is no issue at that level.
Our request is therefore not related to the date shown in search engines, but strictly to the date displayed on the website for visitors.

Hello, Thank you for your reply and for the screenshots. We are already very familiar with the “Entry Meta Tags” setting, the “update (Last Updated)” key and the option to show or hide this information. We have been using WordPress since 2004 and we understand Foxiz very well, as well as many other themes on the market, so this is not a configuration issue. What we are pointing out is a feature that is currently missing in the theme.
Our request is not about enabling the update date globally, but about having conditional behaviour. At the moment, this is what happens:
1. We create a new post and publish it. 2. The publication date is displayed, and the update date is also displayed immediately with exactly the same date and time, even though no real change has been made yet.
What we would like instead is this behaviour:
1. On first publication, only the publication date is visible to the reader. 2. If the post is edited later and a real content change is saved, then the update date appears, next to the publication date or on the same line. 3. As long as no modification has been made after the initial publication, no update date should be displayed at all.
This is a suggested improvement to the theme to increase editorial transparency and avoid giving readers the impression that a post has been updated when it has not. SEO schema and dates in Google are already handled by Yoast SEO on our side, so our request concerns only the visible front-end display.
Could you let us know if this kind of conditional behaviour could be considered for a future update of Foxiz, or if it is not planned at the moment? Thank you in advance for your reply and for your continued work on the theme.
