hello if i buy this theme, can you help me to setup an example site as Live demo in Themeforest website?

thanks

Hello bravie,

Thanks for browsing the theme. I have provided a documentation guide for setting up Home page and other parts. I have also included dummy data in XML and text format. If you go through the documentation, you shall not find any difficulty in setting up the theme. If you find some, I will help with that. So far, only 2 or 3 buyers have taken my help in setting up the Home page. Others have configured their sites without my help.

Thank you SaurabhSharma for your promt respond! you are the best. I will make order soon. Have a nice day!

You’re welcome, bravie.

Hi! I would like my Home page to look like the Business Example.

http://labs.saurabh-sharma.net/themes/xing/wp/?page_id=7629

Where do I find that?

Thank you- Sarah gpsrentaltracking.com

Hello Sarah,

Thanks for purchasing the theme. I hope you have gone through the documentation/index.html file inside your download zip for creating Home page. You can create a Business style Home page by copying the markup from your download_zip/dummy_data/Home – Business.txt file. Copy it’s contents and paste inside the Home page in “Text” mode of editor. Also make sure you set this Home page as Front page inside Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays > A Static Page.

Hi, i liked your theme, and i am going to buy this theme for one of my client, before that i want to know s it possible to add different payment options, now i saw only paypal. My clients want credit card payment also, Please reply asap.

Thanks and Regards Poojith

Hello Poojith,

Thanks for browsing the theme. Payment gateways are WooCommerce Plugin feature. It supports direct bank transfer, cheque payment, mijireh checkout (credit card), cash on delivery and paypal. The theme supports all these payment gateways. You can find more information on mijireh checkout on the below mentioned links:

Hi again! My Contact Form doesn’t seem to send the messages :) All looks like its working but no emails get sent. I have filled in the email address at XING settings: http://www.papersprinkles.com.au/contact/

Thanks for any suggestions you might have!

Hello SimoneFitzy,

I mentioned that your Hosting account’s mail service shall be working to receive the mail. For example, your default hosting email is contact@yoursite.com. Then you will receive a mail from contact@yoursite.com to youremail@hotmail.com. So, there is no problem with hotmail or gmail on receiving end. Just make sure the email service of your hosting is working. The contact form uses php mail() function which sends mail using hosting mail account.

1. In order to activate comments on pages, open page.php file and place this code just before the endhwile; at line no. 12:

comments_template( '', true ); // Add this code
endwhile;

2. In order to keep regular website for iPad, open responsive.css file and delete the entire media query block for Tablet:

/* 1. TABLET: 740px */

@media only screen and (min-width: 740px) and (max-width: 999px) { .. }

Delete these entire rules from around line no. 12 to 388. (Keep a backup of responsive.css in case it doesn’t work).

3. Thumbnails look properly aligned on mobile. Kindly send me a screen shot or URL of that particular page at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will check it.

4. Slider caption is coded inside style.css file at around line no. 2673:

.flex-caption { ... }
.flex-caption-inner { ... }

You can change color, background color and padding for height.

Thanks – your customer service is awesome! Have just emailed you a screenshot of the thumbnail issue I have. Thanks again.

Thanks, Simone.

Hello there!

First of all, wanted to thank you for an excellent theme! Anyways, hope you could help me out with an issue I’m having with my Xing-powered Ecommerce site (http://www.txsafetysupply.net/development ).

I’m using Mijireh Checkout as a payment gateway and after slurping the “Checkout” page within the Xing theme and trying to proceed to the payment page, I get a “Your cart is currently empty.” message, even though I have items in my cart. Any ideas why this would be happening?

Thank you in advance for your help.

John Ludena

Hello John,

Thanks for the purchase and kind feedback. I just tried with the checkout page and I get this message “This store is currently in test mode. Please login to Mijireh to continue testing.” So the checkout page is working fine. Regarding cart contents, the cart gets cleared automatically when the payment is done. This has to do something with WooCommerce Settings.

For example, there is a setting inside WooCommerce > Settings > General > Cart, Checkout and Accounts > Customer Accounts > Clear cart when logging out. (Although it is not related to mijireh checkout). You can check by shifting to original mode and not the test mode. May be it works with that.

5 stars for theme quality and customer service. The author never fails to reply my emails helping me a lot with customizing work.

Hello laymaninnus,

Thank you for kind feedback and rating. It is very much appreciated.

Sorry, just figured out my first question (I changed the header widget area to a width of 300px)!

But if you could still help with keeping the full menu instead of the dropdown jump menu for iPad/iPad mini ? Thanks!

Hello SimoneFitzy,

Nice work on the site. In order to retain original menu on iPad, open responsive.css file and look for these rules at around line no. 161 to 170:

/* Primary Navigation Menu */
.nav1,
.nav2 {
display:none;
}

.ss_nav select,
.ss_nav_top select {
display:block
}

Delete these lines and save file. You can also adjust some padding inside .ss_nav .wrap selector if required.

Regards

Hi – I love your theme! Just a few questions regarding how it looks in mobile view :)

I would prefer to keep the full menu (not the jump menu) on both the iPad and iPad Mini – how do I do that?

Also, my logo is somewhat bigger than the sample xing logo, and when viewed on a mobile device the Search and Social Icons in the header move down too far – any way I can bring them up to be level with the logo?

www.papersprinkles.com.au

Hi Please assist: 1) Where do I select “Featured product” or “New arrivals” as displayed on your “Live View” 2) I have three categories and plan to have pages for each: Outdoor, Indoor and Printing and would like to display the store or Feature/ New Arrivals Carrousel for each of these categories. Can I do this?

Hello BrandingLab,

In order to show Featured products and Recent products like live demo, open your download_zip/dummy_data/home.txt file and copy it’s contents. Paste this markup inside your Home page in “Text” mode of editor.

If you have featured products, they will display inside front page. You can set featured products by clicking on the star icon in front of each product name inside Products > Products.

Product categories can be added inside Appearance > Menus. Similar to pages and categories panel, there will be a product categories panel. This can be used to add product categories into menu. You can also use the product category short code to show categories in a carousel, using this short code in any page:

[carousel]
[product_category category="foo" per_page="12" columns="4" orderby="date" order="desc"]
[/carousel]

Where category=”foo” is the category slug.

Regards

Thanks so much for your response. I am not seeing product categories under Appearance> Menus? It shows categories, but not product categories?

Hello BrandingLab,

Make sure the WooCommerce plugin is installed, and there are some product categories. Next, inside Appearance > Menus, click on the “Screen Options” button on top-right corner of the page. From this panel, enable “Product Categories” section. That will appear on the page.

Problem in the Theme, i have the last version 1.0.5

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/2bcc2

Hello JP,

Thanks for purchasing the theme. The picture you mentioned is not a problem in theme. That section “Our Details” is used to show bank name, account number, etc. in case a customer wants to make payment through bacs or cheque. This can be configured inside WooCommerce > Settings > Payment Gateways. Inside the “bacs” tabs, fill out your account name and other details. These will appear on the page where “Our Details” is shown.

ok, sorry.

This is a great theme and helped get my new store up and running within days.

Hello stageguy,

Thanks very much for the kind feedback. :)

Hi Saurabh,

You’ve helped me allready a lot, so my affiliate webshop is almost ready!! There’s one thing: because I upload products in bulk, it’s necessary that I have unique productcategories. Uploading goas allright right now, but I’ve got some strange categorie-names I don’;t want to display. Do you know how to remove these 2 lines? I’ve allready tried it with breadcrums for the 1st line, but that didn’t work.

The 2 rows are marked red: http://www.grotematen.com/wp-content/gallery/divers/productcategory.jpg

Regards, Willeke

ps instead of deleting the rows, maybe I can change the font style in white, but I’m not sure what else will be white than….

Hello Willeke,

Those breadcrumb and category name are generated by plugin. But we can hide them using CSS. This can be done for all product categories, or only selective categories.

1. Hiding for all product categories. Add these rules at the end of style.css file:

.tax-product_cat .page-title,
.tax-product_cat .woocommerce-breadcrumb { display: none; }

2. For hiding only particular categories:

.term-130 .page-title,
.term-130 .woocommerce-breadcrumb { display: none; }

Where term-xx is the term class name for that particular category. You can find this class name by opening the source code of that category in browser. Inside body tag you will see all the classes as

<body class="archive tax-product_cat term-bottoms term-130 logged-in no-border woocommerce woocommerce-page">

Using these bidy classes, we can hide breadcrumb and page titles for selective categories. I hope this will work at your end.

My Product Carousel doesn’t Auto play?

Hello DM,

Auto play is not enabled inside product carousel shortcode. That can be enabled by editing includes/shortcodes/shortcodes.php file and modifying the short code. Kindly send me your shortcodes.php file at xconsau[at]gmail[dot]com. I will add that.

Ah, Apologies for a double post. I sort of have the portfolio thing working, but it’s just pulling all my posts from my blog?! :( Will EVERY post from my blog enter my portfolio and is there any way to prevent this happening? As I noticed there is no portfolio settings on the theme really?

Would really appreciate the help.

This is my website.

www.posterspy.com

Hello JSWoodhams,

Portfolio settings can be found inside your Page Options panel. Open / edit your portfolio page and scroll down to Page Options Panel. Inside ‘Portfolio and Blog Options’ you can provide category IDs and number of posts per page.

Regards

Hi Saurabh,

Thanks for the reply, I sort of managed to tweak it a bit. But my only issue is that the portfolio literally carbon copies the blog.

I also have another query.

Posts like these

http://posterspy.com/sunday-spotlight-sam-huckle/

At the bottom of the page I have Related posts and then the pagination. Is there anyway to get the pagination ABOVE my related posts so it’s under ‘Continue reading on the next page’. As it’s quite hard to notice, especially with the default Wordpress pagination size, is there anyway to change it at all?

Loving the theme though, thanks!

Hello JSWoodhams,

1. Portfolio and blog templates are totally different. Portfolio template has filterable option with classic masonry style gallery. May be you mean to say the posts are same in Portfolio and blog. If so, make sure the categories are different for these two. If you are using same category IDs for portfolio and blog, they will fetch same posts.

2. On the post you mentioned, the related posts, share this, etc. are all generated by plugin. If you use theme’s built in features they appear after pagination. Inside single.php, pagination is called above all these things (Author bio, related posts, social sharing, etc.). These can be enabled inside Appearance > Xing Options > Blog.

If you are showing these plugin features using short code, make sure these short code appears after the nextpage quick tag in single post.

Regards

Really love the theme, but I’m curious, I wanted to set up a download page for free Wallpapers and such. I was thinking of doing this via a portfolio but I cant seem to get a portfolio working?! How do I set up a portfolio?! Sorry to sound stupid haha!

Thanks,

Jack

Quick pre-sales question.

I see in your demo that each product only shows one product pic. Is it possible to show more pictures per product?

Also is it possible to add more features to a product? Like choosing different colors, size and so on.

Hello 1Wolf1,

Thanks for browsing the theme.

Product images can be added by adding image attachments. You can see one example here.

Color, sizes and variations can be added too. This is a built in WooCommerce feature. You can check one example here.

Hi,

I’ve bought this theme yesterday and I’m very pleased with it. But, because I’ve got an affilliate webshop, I would like to remove the ‘buy’ items in the right upper corner (welcom guest, account, logout, items in cart, etc.). How to remove these box??

regards Willeke

Hello willekeus,

The banner seems okay right now. may be you have merged it with the logo. The Promo text can be changed inside Appearance > Xing Options > Header. You can change ‘Top-right Callout Text’ and ‘Header Callout Text’ as required.

Regards

Hi SaurabhSharma,

Sorry for the misunderstandings! 1) can you look at my side again? I’ve put a message for you on my homepage so you can see what I mean. 2) Promo: this is the text I see when a article is on sale. I would like to change that text.

Regards, Willeke

Hello willekeus,

1. The header widget area can be moved above logo inside header.php file. Cut line no. 63 and paste just after line no. 51:

<?php get_template_part('includes/header-widget-area'); ?>

Cut this line and paste after line no. 51 as:

<div id="header">
<div class="wrap clearfix">
<?php get_template_part('includes/header-widget-area'); ?>

2. Promo text is a WooCommerce feature. It is not coded in theme. You can change it inside plugin’s translation files. You can find translation details here.

Regards

Hi! Is it possible to make the overall width wider? And is it possible to change the background to a pattern design?

Hello lainek,

Thanks for browsing the theme. Background can be changed to a pattern image or color using WordPress Backgrounds. But changing the layout width is difficult. This will affect all inner elements like grids, products, etc.
