It’s July 21st when can we expect the WP version to be complete…very impatient! LOL
believe me i’m counting the seconds ,
developers informed me that v1 should be ready to be submitted to themeforest end of the week. we’re having some issues with WP approvals of other projects which delayed the process. i’m really sorry for keeping you guys waiting, i just can’t do anything more to accelerate the process. will let you know. Another that bought it thinking was for WP,...
Waiting WP version or better yet Joomla version.
I think that there are several similar themes in wp, like geotheme, geoplaces, navigator, etc… but nothing in Joomla, I’m searching some like this geothemes in joomla years,... but…
A Joomla version will be a super sales theme,...

for the future bear in mind that there are no WP version for less than 25$
we’re expecting Glocal WP to be released within the next 10 days, depending on the feedback of the TF reviewers

Hi, I was looking at this theme, but I need clarification. Do you provide any documentation on how to set up payment, search, login etc, without using a database with the html version? I usually use drupal, but I am restricted on this particular project to html only, and I would need some documentation on what the abilities, and limitation there are with the html version.
Hi Siouxh, depending on your coding skills you can do anything you want with an HTML site, if you read the comment just above from dc2013 he/she was able to connect it to a DB so for the HTML version we limit our documentation to the basics of customizaiton. so to answer you questions, all options are possible and sky is the limit

Is the search supposed to work on this template?
What can I do to make the search function properly?
Hi, thanks a lot for your kind message, this is an HTML version it’s static , if you want the search engine to work you need to connect it to a DB or wait until we release the WP version in a couple of weeks it’s up to you. cheers.UOU

I’m excited by the Wordpress template…and wondered whether i could ask a few questions / make some requests based on what i know a lot of people will be looking for?? >>>>
1. Will the submit listing pages be front end? – the problem with a lot of the other templates available are that they use the Wordpress interface – hard to use and horrible to look at.
2. Can we alter the information required for listing businesses from what you design as standard? i.e. more than just opening hours, address, description – ability to add a Quicktime movie etc..
3. Can users filter results by more than the location or type of business – i.e add a checklist of business characteristics …..i.e. if you are listing multiple businesses, rather than searching for just hotels in London – to search for hotels within 1 kilometre of Victoria (London) that have swimming pools.
4. Can you make it so advertisers can register and update their listing themselves, when they wish.
5. Can you make it so that advertisers can pay a monthly fee to list – a subscription method…
6. Finally, When is it arriving?!!!

1- definitely yes
2- for v1 we will have it as it looks like in the HTML then for the upcoming versions we will create altnerative layouts with more options and features so that users can have a wider choice
3- We have created the button advanced search where you can add all the possible filters you need, you will simply need to customize the filters based on your business particular need
4- normally this will be done on v1 if not we will include it on v2 because we would like to publish a first version within 2 weeks
5- this will need to be controlled via the payment gateway option
6- already answer in point 4

We recently bought Glocal theme from themeforrest. While implementing our web solution, we just noticed that it does not have pages
- to enter/register new listing item - modify existing listing item
Long term, do you plan to include those pages?
In short term, have got a quick solution to above requirements?

Awesome! Will we see a wordpress/joomla version? It would be a killer theme! Especially since there’s none with frontend editing and the only substitute that’s bad is “directory” template which has thousands of sales.

That sounds great! Look at “directory” theme, it has several thousands sales and if you look in the latest comments, alot of the thousands customers are angry because there’s no frontend submission. They would have even more thousands of sales if that function existed like on “geocraft” and “vantage” themes.
we’re doing our best to implement all necessary features & functionalities, we won’t be able to do everything in once so we’ll brake them down into version 1, 2, 3 but we took into consideration all comments and existing features on directory + added some cool stuff.
That sounds great! I think that this will really be a killer theme on wordpress and it looks by far better then all the other directory themes out there.

I am very interested in this template but it doesn’t work in IE 10. The menus all just come up expanded and the advanced search is expanded. Can you advise on fixing this for IE10.

It does work in IE10 that way. Thanks. I also noticed that when scrolling on an iPhone the scrolling map makes it a little difficult to scroll the page. If I purchase will you be willing to tweak the mobile UI a little?
we basically removed the scrolling option from the map, it strange that the function appears (I personally tried it with android devices (mob&pad), so normally it should be the same with iphone. in any case thanks for the notice i’ll report it to developers. cheers.UOU
Few Suggestions for wordpress: Make sure after admin has entered an entry users can CLAIM the entry. I think this can be done after a user enters an email id (preferably an official one) or a phone number and admin can approve it manually through backened maybe contacting via phone if needed be….
Also what I would appreciate is if registered users can make changes to the data (map Location, contcat details) or add new data and this can be displayed after admin/editor approves such thing.. Such kind of thing will improve user interaction to a huge extent. You can also show in user profile, how many changes have been accepted from a user giving credibility in the website…
Using the approved requests you can add RANKING system in the website as well…

Hi Morgan, when you open the main folder click on the index.html file and the site will open in a browser (you can of course also upload the folder to your server to see it online)
then right-click on the index.html and open with dreamweaver or any other html editor (if you don’t have any then you can open it with notepad) then you can start making changes
