Gday mate
Just wondering is the frontpage customisable ? Just that i’ve read this in the comments on pg1 “OneCommunity has 3 frontpages, it’s responsive and it has about 10 color variants. Cinematix doesn’t have it yet.”
Cheers Best looking theme so far for what im after.
No, there is only 1 frontpage variant.
@Diabolique
If a user logs in through the My Account page (seen in the Theme’s demo), what are the contents of that page? Are they redirected somewhere else? Does it take you to a page to change account details?
User is redirected to the frontpage. Screenshots of the user panel you can see here – http://themeforest.net/theme_previews/4959387-cinematix-buddypress-theme?index=6
@Diabolique Thanks! Also, at the bottom of the theme preview, there is a find us on facebook widget-ish thing. Are there options to add two more of those things for Google+ & Twitter?
No it’s not a widget, you have to open footer.php and duplicate:
<a href="http://www.facebook.com" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://www.demo1.diaboliquedesign.com/5c/wp-content/themes/Cinematix/images/fb.png" alt="Home" /></a>
Okay. I haven’t purchased the theme yet. I am just inspecting it and might use it for a website redesign about 2-3 months from now. Maybe in a future update, you should add the other two in (as theme options?).
Actually I don’t have such plans.
Is there a specific reason for that? Just curious
It’s a niche suggestion, I don’t think it will cause higher sale. I have better suggestions like an implementation of live search engine.
Ya, that would be really nice! Just keep it in mind though.
Really impressed by this theme. I checked out the color schemes but am looking for something with a darker green. Is it difficult to modify the color scheme myself?
No, it’s not hard – http://demo1.diaboliquedesign.com/5/Help/#scheme
Hi there, just a question about upgrading -> is it bad if i don’t update with every update, will there be any complications if I update now after skipping/misisng the past 3 updates?
Thanks!
Hi,
No, all fixes were tiny.
Diabolique, Is this theme compatible with Buddypress group forums without global/sitewide forums?
Please respond as soon as possible. All support is appreciated.
Yes, just do not create “Forums” page.
Thanks for the information!
If I were wanting to add more questions and/or gather more profile info from members during the registration process….how might I go about that?
Go to WP dashboard -> users -> profile fields
Sorry, but the Event is not responsive: http://www.demo1.diaboliquedesign.com/5/events/exploring-nyc-history-and-neighborhoods/
this feature will be implemented? Thanks
I just fixed it and I’m uploading theme.
ok, thanks.
I was seeing the demo of this site and I found that this site is not seo friendly. are you going to make it seo friendly
Theme is seo friendly, title tags are generated by buddypress core, not by theme. Container for blog post titles can be easy replaced (just replace div for h1), but I don’t think that div is worse than H1 tag.
Just wanted to know what the difference between forums and groups are?
Then i´m curious about images in posts, I´m running a car forum now and its very important to me and my fellow club members that we are able to post several images in a nice and easy way in a forum post. On your demo side i can only find one post with a single image in it, and that image is not clickable/resize-able…
Forum is just a forum, for more informations please visit this page – http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/wordpress/the-beginners-guide-to-buddypress-social-networking-cms/
Users can upload images on the external website and display images on the forum using IMG tag. You can install bbpress on your website and you will see how it looks.
Hi,
Nice Theme…
Are there plans for user achievement levels. points and awards?
How about sending user gifts?
Thanks
Hi,
All my themes work great with Cubepoints – http://wordpress.org/plugins/cubepoints/
How about sending user gifts?
I’m not sure what do you mean. What gifts?
Thanks, I found something that works.
You can use this plugin – http://wpmu.org/the-buddypress-gifts-plugin-has-been-adopted/
There is many other plugins too.
Thanks for the help. awesomeness!
Hey I like the theme. When would the 320px responsiveness u mentioned update be released ?? And another important thing can I just squeeze in everything a bit like font and images its too bulky right now for me ..
Thanks, Jiten
Hi,

It’s done – http://www.responsinator.com/?url=www.demo1.diaboliquedesign.com%2F5&device=iphone-5-portrait
And another important thing can I just squeeze in everything a bit like font and images its too bulky right now for me ..
Which font? Which image?
i mean the complete canvas of the webpage .. i want it in box shaped with white border on both sides ..
Huh, it’s not easy task
Hello – How is the home page set up? Is it widgetized? If I wanted to add the events calendar plugin to the home page where your groups are listed in the demo, is this possible? Thanks
Hello,
No, frontpage isn’t widget ready. You can always create a new widget area but you have to edit few files..
Thank you for your reply. Is that difficult to do? Also, how long will it take for me to set it up like the demo? Are there instructions, or is a backupbuddy like copy included? Sorry for so many questions, I have had difficulties finding what I need in the past.
If you buy it then I’ll tell you how to create new widget areas.

There is a xml file with exported data – forums, posts, pages, topics. You cannot import/export groups in buddypress.
Sounds great – thank you. One more question…is it possible to add widget area to the bottom area also?
Do you mean footer? check it – http://diythemes.com/thesis/rtfm/widgetized-fat-footer-three-columns/
Hi
Is it translatable ready?
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, just install foreign version of buddypress.
so hot. It’s so 99% the perfect theme of all time… last 1% would be Responsive. Is that in the update pipeline?

C
Yes, I’ll add a 320px responsive layout too.
I have the theme installed but the login widget will not log me in? I am using Gravity Forms to create the profile. Registers fine, but every time I put in my credentials into the widget, I get redirected to the WP default login screen which then works if I login. I don’t want to be redirected, it should log me in right?

Registration process is automatic so you don’t need to wait for an account activation.
I know that certain parts of the theme are designed with images (the horizontal and vertical line on the home page).
Because of these images, could I easily add a pattern to the background of the site, or would certain images that make up parts of the theme not work well with a pattern background?
You can easily use own patterns.
Is there an easy to to make it so that the theme doesn’t use the default buddypress registration but uses the core wordpress registration page? I need this for a membership plugin I’d like to use with the theme.
Yes, it’s very easy.

Diabolique, I am using iPhone 5
There was a problem with a zoomed page which I just resolved.
It looks like 400px width layout for iphone 5 is too wide.
Just purchased last week & looks pretty good. Can wait for responsive
I understand you’re working as fast as you can for us! I have a few questions in meantime….
Is there a way to add a link (to menu) for user profile page. I’d like a “My Profile” link as it seems difficult for users to reach their own profile.
Is there a way to make the landing page (home) slider to move automatically. I has great animated effects, but not too easy to find pagination to change slide. Can this be set to auto transition?
Lastly, Is there a way to design the “Blog” portion. Wish it had templates for this section. My site is more magazine/news style & I’m trying to convert the heavy design of a social network into a more user friendly blog/news section.
Thanks & Great stuff, man!
Theme is already responsive.
Open a new topics on the support forum so I’ll help you with the 1st and 2nd question.
There is no way to design the blog, you have to edit style.css
Thanks for info. I could not register at the support forum. It never sent password.
If responsive, I have trouble viewing on ipad. The webpage doesnt load up the full screen (cuts about 200px from side). I then shrink the page so it will display full page, but still has 200px which is layered above content. It cuts off my content, looks like background or sidebar. I can check this on ipad, like I usually do with firefox or chrome.
For a user profile link… is this a simple shortcode or php code? I just don’t know it
Appreciate your help …truly!
You typed wrong e-mail. Reset password again.
