in the package you’ve downloaded you will find an XML folder with another folder titled revolution slider. all you need to do is install revolution slider then import the .txt files to your admin panel

when you’ve installed the rev slider, you’ll see revolution slider tab in your wordpress dashboard. create a new slider there (just fill the name and alias) then confirm, open that slider again find and click ‘show import/export’, and finally import the txt.file there

ok i did all that and i previewed it and i see it, however i still can only get the default slider to work. i have enable featured slider on the home page…and that only shows the default slider it seems. not sure whats wrong

go to layout option in food & cook tab then uncheck Disable ALL Custom Styling

Ok thank you. Can you also please let me know how the “Related Posts” are decided? For example, this crepes recipe has “fresh pea soup, borscht, suffed cabbage, spiced carrot soup and tortellini” in the related posts. These choices seems very unfitting.

the navigation bar will be replaced with a menu dropdown, the revolution slider should be okay though.. I need to see it first. can i get an access to your site? its password-protected.

For the revolution slider, I now hide it on smartphone, it is simplier. But I have no solution for the navigation bar. Here is the password: choc2013!

In fact, it seems there are some problems when it pass in one column on smartphones : the navigation disapear (that is my main problem) and for exemple tabs on single-recipe are one on another. Is it possible to maintenain the width on smartphones and use the scroll ?

I check and I only had a black bar :s So I put back my ancient code (I changed the layout file so that the nav bar appears but I loose part of the responsive possibilities). My last question for now is how do I limit blog posts using the [blog posts=”2”] short-code as setting the “2” variable still shows all blog posts when the short-code is used…

Additionally, I didn’t find this ([blog]) & the [callout] short-code inside the TineMCE Short Code menu.. I had to copy paste them from the demo theme content. Do I replace the recent post short-codes with this or should they have their own options from TinyMCE area? I couldn’t find reference to them on your short-code pages created as well.

yes, we dont post all the shortcode in tinyMCE

for your question, where do you want to limit the blog posts? in the blog page template? if it is, you cant.

hey Dahz, I’m talking about the blog post shortcode inside the hompage v1 demo page… when I try to use it on my homepage it queries all the posts, not 2. I’m using the same shortcode from the demo page.

Also, it appears your Twitter Widget is in need of an update, the twitter API was updated and no longer works with the current setup. Is this being addressed? Do you know how long it will take to update? Twitter now requires an app to be made and use the auth API keys for widgets to pull tweets.

you need a printer friendly plugins that support jquery tabs because the recipe is in a tab. the plugins that you’ve installed doesnt support printing jquery tabs.

Dahz, when using Home page V4… are the “latest news” and “latest from the blog” both meant to display the same information, just in a different look? If not, how do I get different content in each? Thanks tinasdeliciousdishes.com

it should’ve been different, when you post a page you can assign them to categories, ‘latest news’ pulls from ‘news’ category and latest blog pulls from posts that have been assigned to ‘blog’ category.

I double checked and I have 4 blogs that I have written under “Posts”, three are assigned to “blog” only and one assigned to “news” only but they all show up under news on the home page and the one assigned to “news” shows up under “latest news”. you havent change the ‘your-category-link’ in [linked_more link=”http://your-category-link/”] with where you want it to land. eg. tinasdeliciousdishes.com/blog-v2/

That worked fine so where do I fix Latest News?
