When I use this template, there is an odd white bar that appears on the left side when viewing an email on mobile. This is true even when I make no changes at all to the template.

Your logo is bigger that the size used on the template. So you just need to update the logo size.
Please look at the image link where I have showed how you need to solve this issue.

I just purchased the Inbox Responsive Email Template and imported it to mailchimp. It works for the most, but when I enter text content in one “box container”, it is duplicated in the “box container” right next to it.
