2nd issue… I am using the Mixed Menus in my app. When I click to expand a second menu item, the first does not collapse as in the sample (which is working fine). The other clue is the sidebar-menu min-height keeps climbing larger and larger (inspected in Chrome). Any clues what I did wrong?

I’m using Neon and Less for the first time. I’m trying to recompile neon.less (using Crunch) but it’s complaining that:
Compiler Errors You are using JavaScript, which has been disabled. (Line: 112) Filename: lesshat.less
I’ve not modified anything except changing @font-size-base in variables.
The line it’s complaining about is as it came in the package…

Its strange why this happens, I use LESS.app to compile the neon.less (not other files, just this one)

Awesome theme. I’m very happy with it. The only suggestion (you could be working on this, I didn’t go through all of the comments) that I have would be for a stand-alone timeline/chat/comment UI.
For example, part of my admin system allows for users to update the page. It would be great if there was a nice way of doing this…..similar to the way the messages in the toolbar are done, except it would be on the page itself. I’m sure I could hack something together, but I bet you could put something a lot nicer together.

Is there a way I quick can switch to use LESS files without compiling it using lesscss.org? I’ve tried to import the neon.less file and including that library, but it wont work.

We have built Neon theme all the time using LESS compiler App and so we haven’t tried if it works in that way. Maybe the Compiler works differently than the “inline less compiler”.
I think it is better idea to use only compiled LESS to CSS because the Neon CSS framework loads large amount of files, there are a total of 94 imports, so it could take really long to execute and will kill the browser processes. Just my thought!

Actually there is no any example of it, but it would be fairly easy to implement it, here is a way:

It shows the external page fine the “No information” text, but the entire screen becomes dark and i can’t press the 2 buttons on the modal.
The entire screen should be dark except the dynamic content i guess. I don’t know what i am doing wrong
?? Do you have an idea why is this happening?

The best admin framework I have seen hands down. I will buy it for my next project, but have a small problem.
Your sliders/range controls do not work with touchscreen devices (at least not with iOS 7 – have tried iPhone/iPad with latest Safari and they do not work.)
It is important for me that these controls work with touch.
What would also be nice (but is not a totals requirement) would be to have access to the “Month/Week/Day” Toggle button on small screen devices… at the moment it gets hidden by CSS (which is day enough to fix) but it needs to get placed differently for small screens – very handy to have access to this functionality on phones.

Hi there, I have a few concerns before I buy this theme: 1. I want to have the chat facility for my staff, so anyone logged in to the dashboard should be able to chat with each other. How do I do this? Do I have to purchase a third party system, if so do you know which are the options? Does Cometchat integrate with it? 2. I will develop the software in PHP, so does your template have demo php file? For example, I will need dynamic datatable implemented, so how do I know the javascript & php API or example for that? 3. When I buy and download it, do I get all template files so that I can analyse the codes to know their structure and implement? 4. Though this is out of scope, will you please advise me how to implement the server side things? Is it better to use any php framework for that, if so which framework is that? Firstly Thanks for your kind words, I will try to answer to all of your questions.
1. This will be also an answer for your other related questions. Neon as you might have seen, its purely HTML template, so there are no limitations where you can implement it, any framework you are familiar to. This means that the Chat only supports methods to render the chat events, but will not communicate with the server/client, its up to you how you implement it. The Chat API we offer, is intended to be used after you have managed to establish server and client connection, I dont know how is this done, but when receiving/sending messages, you can use our pre-defined methods that will appear the message to chat. This is all what it offers.
2. The Datatables are just normal tables, with a class assigned to it, and then they are processed via JavaScript, here is an example of data table code: http://d.pr/i/5UdA So, you have to read more about the Datatables API (http://datatables.net/) to customize your tables.
3. When you get Neon Theme you get a total of 63 HTML files (http://d.pr/i/aEiE) all from demo pages, there you have the same structure, the commented codes inside assets/js/neon-custom.js and other related files. Other purchasers have considered this theme very easy to adopt to it. Hopefully you can be one of them too.
4. At my point of view, I would rather consider using a specialized framework, such as (which is also most preferred for me) Laravel framework, then everything you can handle with ease, structure part of codes, URL routes, etc. PHP framework is always good choice, also you can consider CodeIgniter which is really nice Object Oriented framework, so you don’t have to re-invent the wheel, and whats more important, people already have discovered the best ways to implement the things you need the most.

The calendar can accept events from Drag and Drop (which is actually demonstrated on assets/js/neon-calendar.js)
There are also other forms of adding events to calendar, for example this is one of them:

When you add an Event, you have the className attribute which you can specify to add with that event, so whenever you need to style specific event, just apply a class, then via CSS with the class name you apply any color you want, I hope you are familiar with CSS so it won’t be much effort for you. As you can see Neon is plain html so if you are familiar with Html you can integrate it to any platform, such as Yii Framework, Codeigniter and even your own Cms. This is what I can help you, to integrate it in your desired framework you must figure out how to do so.

Yes, for sure you can save the chat messages. Firstly you have to manage how you send the messages to the users (sessions and related stuff).
The Chat API will help you to achieve this, just head to assets/js/neon-chat.js and there are main functions that will deliver/receive text messages.
Also you can read the Chat API page to learn more http://themes.laborator.co/neon/extra/chat-api/There are plenty of ways to implement Chat History, but I recommend you to firstly read the Chat API and realize how it works, then you will have the idea what to do.
Hopefully I was clear on my answer, even that I didn’t gave you an example of how to do it, but it depends on the case of framework you are working to.
