in order to have grid layout for categories, you need to download version 1.2.
If you have Theme version from the Bundle, then you have to download Bundle again and check there.

I have been trying to change the font size of the posts’ title. It is a bit large, especially for mobile.
I noticed you left a code for someone else to put in custom css but that didn’t work for the mobile.

Hi, do you want to change ‘single’ post title or title in the grid boxes?
I can see that you already have this in your “Custom CSS” field:
@media handheld, only screen and (max-width: 700px) { .brick-content h3 { font-size: 22px; } }
And that’s for the grid titles in mobile view (if you want them smaller just replace 22 by some lower number, ie 18).
If you want smaller titles for the ‘single’ post view just add this to previous: .content-wrap .page-title { font-size: 50px; }
So, complete code for the grid and single titles would be:
@media handheld, only screen and (max-width: 700px) { .brick-content h3 { font-size: 22px; } /* Brick title / .content-wrap .page-title { font-size: 50px; } / Single title */ }

If you want to change size of the ‘content’ for posts (and pages) then you should add this too to the media query: .content-wrap{ font-size: 12px; }
Default value here is 14px.

I tried putting this code into the Custom CSS to give the Posting Title a smaller text but I don’t see a change. Am I doing it right?

I have also tried adding the code to make the posting title font smaller as well (for desktop, not mobile) but it doesn’t seem to work.
Also, when looking at a single post, is there a way to have the Featured Image not be shown at 100%? Sometimes the images are too large we have to scroll down too much to get to the post.

first of all thank you a lot! Ubergrid is a great theme you guys built.
Today I updated my WP3.81 with Ubergrid version 1.2 (from 1.1.1) to get the front-page grid-layout for my categories but it doesn´t work in any way? First I´ve tried to get the grid-layout on every cat so I leaved the the cat selection clear inside the theme settings. Then I selected only one of my categories but nothing changes?
Even if I change the box size the cats looks same as before?
Do you have any idea what I´m doing wrong? Thanks a lot!

when you download your file from Themeforest it’s already zipped and you can just upload it from WordPress.
So, maybe you have some server limitation with upload size or etc? That’s something few people had when they had similar issue.

Hi, that warnings are from official wordpress’ importer plugin (which is packed into our theme just for smoother user experience). Can you send us a private message with your site URL and maybe login credentials and we’ll take a closer look.

Thank you for this great theme. I’m loving it. I bought this from the Envato Bundle on the 27th of January, so I know, that I can’t expect any support, but I’m hoping, that you would like to help me anyway.
I’m having problems with categories in grid format.
I have checked “Use grid layout for categories” and selected the categories to use with grid layout.
And then comes the problem. No matter what I select in “Default Category Box Size” it’s all the same and it doesnt look good.
I’m messing around with it at the moment so by the time you have a look it may look different, so I uploaded a screenshot as well.

On my pictures there’s some white in the top and therefore it doesnt look good when the window is very wide except for 1 of the products, where I cut the picture closer. Actually you cant tell that there is any pictures on most of them, when the browser window is as wide as mine. But I guess it would look okay, if I was just able to have the grid boxes smaller (like SMALL or MEDIUM). But they are all just very wide no matter what I select in the Theme Settings.
Also there are no text at all. Just picture, headline and category.
I hope you can solve this puzzle for me.

I have fixed it! Had checked ‘Disable the visual editor when writing’. What a dick.
Is there a way to remove the widgets from pages and have them only show up on the blog and posts? i.e. I don’t want the right hand side bar to show up on the contact or about page.
And also make the page area stretch wider to full screen (the white area)

yes, you can disable sidebar for Pages (Theme Settings) when you select option Full Page Width. Please go through Documentation.
Second one requires customization, it’s not possible from Theme Settings.

you can increase box sizes/fonts and etc from Theme Settings, but for some element you have to insert Custom CSS in order to increase everything.
There isn’t possibilities for a slider, and all posts have sidebar. Only option is to change Template file and you can use Page Template as an example.

I must miss something: In a post, gallery format, picture inserted just as secondary image (not in the post itself, the picture doesn’t appear on the grid ( the box is gallery type, but no image.

Thing is that for gallery type home page grid have a gallery view (not secondary image), just like on demo http://demo.pukkathemes.com/ubergrid/So you can arrange from the Post which picture you want to show as first.

I have a question about the grid layout for categories.
First I changed all box sizes to ‘big’ and also for the older posts I changed default box sizes to ‘big’. So if you click a catagory the boxes are not messed up and all the same, at least I thought it would. Then I selected ‘Use grid layout for categories’ to use the grid layout.

It is possible that grid functions are also be pluggable, but significant improvement with grid ‘functionality’ will be new templating system (user will be able to override template files which are used for displaying grid boxes for every post format). So for those kind of changes child theme won’t be necessary. Similar goes for overriding Page Builder’s CSS file.
For comments we’ll have to take another look, but we’ll try to make it as customizable as we can.
