1 – The images are working with the featured images? 2 – If you have a category and a sub category, what will appear in the main page? The sub category or the category? Or both?
1) The images are working with featured images.
2) If you have a category and sub-category. Both will appear on the category page. This is how categories are setup by default in WordPress so we leave them as is.

I’m not getting a confirmation email to the support page. So, a few questions:
1) When I make a homepage, the same posts load over and over. If I set it to 10 posts, those same 10 posts repeat. If I set it to 200, then all my posts show, but there’s no infinite scrolling.
2)I have advertising that will take up 728px on a normal screen. When I look at the website on a smartphone, Bayside is only 1/4 the page. The advertising sticks out. Same with advertising widgets. It makes the smartphone screen really tiny by default.
Regarding 1) the homepage bug only occurs if you set Reading> Homepage> Static Posts. It just repeats whatever # of posts you’ve entered. All other homepage templates work fine.

What are the changes of the last version of march? Changelog is not updated.
The latest version is v1.2. The “Last Update” in the sidebar will change when the description and thumbnail images have been updated. It’s just showing that since we updated the thumbnail and preview image for our updated branding.

I want to buy this theme because of the grid, however when reading a single post it looks a bit odd, anyway that you can have an option center the page?
also, is there an author option? didn’t see one in the demo, and if not can I use a 3rd party plugin for it and get it fixed?
1) You would do a few things on the single post. You could let it expand the full width instead of having a max-width. Or you could adjust the margins on the left and right. Because of the sidebar, there is no easy way to center the content.
2) I assume you mean posting of content. This would be added via a 3rd party plugin. There are a number of great plugins to add this on on wordpress.org and codecanyon.net

1) You can easily add a slider via any third party plugin. There are many available from wordpress.org and codecanyon.net
2) Unfortunately the sidebar is set on all pages. You could easily remove this though if you did not want a sidebar. This would however work on all pages and not just the homepage.

Hi Dears, I’m glad to work with your theme, it’s one of the best ever. my question: i want to remove the social sharing from the article left side, it’s really limiting my thoughts in case of want to add infographic or wide photo.

Yeah, you can easily link to external articles. This functionality is built-in to the theme.

Great! Thank you for your response. When using my ipad, the site aligns left, showing only two columns with an empty space on the right. Is it possible to make the site align center?
The site is responsive so the column count will adjust based on the device. If you wanted the two columns center aligned you could add some custom CSS. We could help you out with this if you needed any.

I just bought the template and I love it. Great job! I have encounter some problems and need your assistance:
1- The title of my first post is displaying as a header in the homepage. How to remove header text from post on homepage?
2- I have deleted all the categories and pages from the “top menu” but it I still get “homepage” above the main navigation menu bar. Please advise on how to remove the “top” menu all together.
3- I’ve set the navigation to fixed, but it’s not working so far. I was wondering if it would me possible to only have the main navigation to be fixed?
I Also have some customization questions:
4- I would like the site to align center. How can I do that?
5- Is there a way to put the logo (big) above the main menu bar?
6- How do I remove the right sidebar?

1) Check out the documentation. You just need to setup your homepage using the documentation.
2) Check out the documentation for setting up the navigation. You can have a blank navigation menu but you will still need to set a navigation menu in WordPress.
3) This will be solved once you setup the navigation menu per question 2.

Hi, I’m a bit lost…the homepage thats showing the latest posts! is that grabbing the wp excerpt or wp content…I’m trying to copy/past twitter embed into post but its not showing on homepage only on single post when you view it.
Any help would be appreciated to get embeds to show on homepage.

The share icons are available on the post page by default as shown in the live preview. Adding them to the index would require a third party plugin from wordpress.org.

Hello again, after a lot of research i came to the conclusion that bayside is the best theme for what i wanted. Just a few more questions before i buy it, you dont have to answer them just tell me if its possible. 1. Can i add the adsense code every 10 posts for example to appear in the index? 2. i want the advertisment post when i make it sticky it appear as the very first post. Can istead of that make it appear somewhere else in the page (e.g. after 6th post ).

1-2) You can add adsense code in the sidebar, inline like our live preview, or above the posts. These places are all very easy to add adsense code for. You cannot force the code to certain post positions though. They will remain inline so as new posts occur, the advertisement will also drop down the list. Sticky posts only work as the first post so you can set this as a sticky post but it would only be at the top.

Hello! I’m really liking the grid layout of the theme and I’m considering purchasing it for my blog.
Questions: 1. Is it possible to add a footer (similar to the Home, Shortcodes bar at the top of the page?) 2. How is the position of the 250×250 ad set, and is there an option not to enable it? 3. Is there a way to make the sidebar and main content area scroll independently (similar to qz.com)?

1) We actually have the footer/copyright information displaying in the sidebar. The reason is that most users won’t reach a footer if infinite scroll is turned on. If you wanted one though it would be super simple to add. We could help you out if you needed assistance with this (Would take less than 5 minutes).
2) The advertisement is a post type. You can drag/drop to re-order the posts if you want to adjust the order. It will slowly move down the article list as all the posts do so your ads are inline. If you want a stationary advertisement, it can be added to the header or sidebar.
3) Yeah, you can add a overflow-y css to the sidebar to force it the same as the example. (Just set overflow-y: scroll; to the #sidebar container)

You just need a hosting provider that supports WordPress. There is no wordpress.com account required, instead you setup your login when installing WordPress. Your hosting provider likely has a “One-Click Install” to install WordPress easily. Then you can install our theme by following our documentation.

Download the “All Documents & Files”. Unzip that download and you will get all of the files as mentioned. The documentation is in the “Help Section” folder. It will cover how to install the theme in the first section.
Hello, with your theme I noticed anytime I make a new post on the home page the latest posts titles is displayed at the top in big bold letters… How can I make it so no title is shown on the home page?
This just means you haven’t setup your homepage yet. You just need to set your homepage template for the homepage and then choose the categories you want to display on the homepage. This is covered in more detail in the documentation under “Setting up the Homepage”.
