Hi, im checking your demo on my iPhone 6 and two things bother me:
1- its floating from left to right as if it has juice left, it not tight.
2- the menu stock up and it wont traveled down or give option to go on top if the page anywhere. Which mean folks must scroll all the way up to switch page. can you fix these two issue?

Hi there, that is something you could do with a widget or plugin pretty easily. You could even use the announcement header to send someone off to subscribe to MailChimp or Campaign Monitor.
Hello. I’m trying to choose between Literary and Preface.
Does this theme have a widget-ready page template? Like those popular business home page formats where there’s a row of three widget-ready areas? I want to be able to design the home page like this:
row 1: featured book(s) row 2: 3 widgets that feature author bio, projects and blog row 3: a footer widget area for “recent posts,” “resources,” etc.
Can I do this with any page template that comes with this theme? I really like it.
Hi there, no Literary does not have a page builder, just a widget area in the footer and on the sidebar.
Preface has a limited homepage builder using homepage items to layout the homepage like you see it in the demo. You may be able to lay out your website using Preface using the Content homepage item to create the author bio and projects. Please not Preface does not have a project post type though, so that would not be dynamic.
That was quick! It’s too bad. I like Literary but my least favorite part is the home page. I will have to get Preface then. Thank you for your explanations!

Hi there, great looking theme. Is there an option to group the custom post types into categories yet – perhaps even multiple categories, eg having one book in both the History and Art categories?

Hi Scott, no there are no categories for books, but there are categories for the portfolio.
We are working on a new author theme that will be designed to cope with categories in books. With literary the design doesn’t really accommodate it and would feel like an add-on.

Hey Virplay, good to hear from you. You’ll need to update to version 1.1.7 (just released) if you are using the book custom post type. The TinyMCE editor changed in WP 3.9 so we’ve changed the load command for the additional editor used for the book details.

I want to use the Books option for both books and magazine articles. One page will have books, the other articles. Is there a way to do this without categories?
I also want to use the Portfolio option for both iOS apps and other products, each on its own page. Again, is there a way to do this without categories?

1. The only way to do this would be to create another custom post type, which you could do via a child theme or plugin if you have WordPress knowledge
2. You would need to do this with the categories, or you could code your own custom post type as above.

Hello! I am really digging this theme! I am wanting to setup my site to have no sidebar and no share information on the left. I just want a content box, if you understand me? How will that look? Will the content box center?
Hey there, thanks You can turn the sidebars on/off per page or post. You can also turn off share via the theme options. The content box won’t be quite centered as the author, categories and tags will be there so there will be a slight offset.
Wow! Thanks for the quick reply. Ah yeah, I see what you mean. Could I remove those items and then have the content box center? I can edit css and php some, would that work? I think it would get erased though if the theme had an update.
No worries, yes you could re-adjust it with CSS and Literary comes with a child theme for customisations like that. Child themes allow you to update simple things like CSS and even PHP and still get the theme updates. http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Hi. Just purchased this theme, loving it so far! I do have one issue I can’t seem to resolve. How can I stop the featured image from showing up in each blog post? I have tried disabling featured image, but it is still showing up in all of my old posts.

Hello, I love this theme and it’s 95% perfect for my uses. I am running into two problems however. Can I expect an update to include grouping books into series? I maintain a website for a published author who has many published novels and they’re being listed out of order on the books list. I can’t even get them to display in order.
Secondly, all tables in the theme are appearing on a while background in the TDs. Is there a setting to change this? The hover is also light grey, and my whole site is driven on a black background.

We are working on a brand new theme aimed specifically at authors rather than a blog theme + book post type and portfolio post type. The new theme will have book categories, but at the moment we’re not planning on adding book categories to Literary.

I purchased this template because I’m an author, and I cannot get the ‘Books’ or ‘Portfolio items’ to work correctly. I can create a page using ‘Books – page’, but I always get an error on what should be the books display page.

Whenever I put an image in a textbox in the sidebar (with html) the resize code doesn’t work and the image is transparent. Is there a way to override this?

I bought the theme and I’m working on converting my site over to your custom templates. One question, though. I am able to easily make book pages, but how do I get the pages (shown in the demo) with all of the book covers displayed like a menu?
