Hi I’m having trouble with the navigation on the page. I’m trying to get it to just be a single page and slide to the section but when the link is clicked it just reloads the page. I saw that something with the navigation was updated in 1.4 and do have that version. Is there something else I might be missing?

Thanks for the purchase. So I looked at your site, are you wanting to setup your website for each section to have its individual pages? Or do you want it the same as the live preview?
Note that the fix that was put in place, was for when you are in a corresponding single page view, you can then click back to the one page setup and not the corresponding section (this being where all sections are displayed on the one page).

Hey Leo, quick question again…lol My fiance wants people to be able to comment on the site. The only way I see that happening is by creating a blog page and then having like a thank you submit your comments below (she doesn’t want to blog). When I did that i noticed that the Easy Backstretch links do not work because the root directory goes to thelongestwedding.com/thankyou/#ourstory for example, which is not a valid link. Any suggestions or how to create a different comments box at the bottom of the page without using the blog? I noticed it does this on the live preview version as well.
Because that is new functionality the theme would not support that out of the box. That’s not to say it’s not possible, it just means it would be a custom job.
One idea that comes to mind is to look into a third party commenting system like Disqus…I’m not 100% sure how the integration works, but if they have some kind of shortcode, then you could add it as a page and you would have comments available.
Just an idea, but like I said, you may need to investigate this further…

Currently the theme doesn’t support custom widgets under the menu. If it becomes a highly sort out feature then I’ll be sure to add it to the list on the next update.
Out of curiosity, what information did you want added in that area?
Thats ok. I was hoping to put social media links under the menu, but have put this in the footer section instead. I was also thinking of maybe adding a twitter feed under the menu.
One other thing – is there a a way to have the flex slider autoslide? I cannot seem to find this option within the theme but see from the flexslider that it should be possible.

To have the flexslider autoslide is definitely possible. What you could do is define the necessary parameters in the custom.js file.
Once you do this, the functionality should kick in. Bear in mind, this will only work if the plugin has been activated, otherwise it will throw an error so make sure you set it up this way.

Re lacking documentation, I think it might be useful if you were to include further details about modifying certain aspects of the theme. Ie. the “ThemeChills” plugins, I had to figure out for myself how to include/exclude slides by their post ID and I haven’t found any documentation about your shortcodes used.

So to answer your questions…
1. I will look into the 10 photo limit (there shouldn’t be one) once I have access to a desktop. Currently overseas, so will let you know once I have an update on this for you.
2. The template is structured to display as a 4 column grid. However, you could definitely customize it to have 3 columns instead. You would need to modify the plugin files to accomplish this. 3. Totally valid. I will update the documentation to explain how the shortcodes work. Because a lot of it is from Foundation I thought it would suffice, but I will take your feedback on board and make the necessary changes, thanks for this. The include and exclude features are native to WordPress, though I can defnitely elaborate on the usage of these.

Hello, first I want to say this theme is awesome. I have installed and edited this theme at www.thelongestwedding.com
I have two questions. The first is, why does it take so long to load the page ( i have a 30mbit connection). Is it because the images I chose are too large, I wanted them large so when people click on the photos they will go to full scale. My second question is in firefox it shows one of the photo gallery images on the 3rd row in column 1, it is supposed to be 2nd row column 4. However, in chrome it doesn’t show up like this.
Also it seems to freeze when I get to the bridesmaids when using an iPhone 5s. Could this be due to the large size of the picture? I used 889×558 resolution. Any tips or suggestions? Should I use jpg images or png images? Sorry I’m very new to all of this but I have learned quite a bit by playing around with it for the past 2 weeks. I figured I would comment and ask on here for help. Thanks in advance!

Re your questions…
1. From what I can see your images are in fact quite large. I would recommend either reducing these if possible, or using a program that can losslessly optimize these – you may have some savings in file size by doing it this way and not affect the quality.
Re the Firefox issue, I see what you mean. Weird thing is I checked the live preview and it seems to work correctly. May I suggest you make all these images the same resolution, could you go for 1000×1000? They seem to have varying sizes. Give it a test and see if that fixes the issue.
2. In terms of what image format to use, either .jpg or .png is fine. I would go with whichever provides the smaller file size. Re the freezing, that’s strange, I have an iPhone 5 and cannot reproduce the issue. Are you able to test on another and see if you experience the same problem?

Thanks for your quick response. I noticed the file sizes were different. I’m assuming after I set the resolution and then made the quality a 10/10 it made it larger. Thanks for pointing that out. Once again I really appreciate the lightning fast support and although the site is not 100% live for everyone to see I have gotten excellent feedback from the friends and family that I’ve shown. Thanks for the purchase. In regards to your question…
You can reduce the size of the images in those sections by reducing the container size.
Essentially, follow these steps.
1. Go to Groomsmen/Bridesmaids pages 2. Find the shortcode that displays like this
[column class="small-11 small-centered large-8 large-centered columns"]3. Change the
large-8attribute to something smaller, perhaps
large-4? 4. You’re done
Note, that by doing this, your images will allow show smaller on desktop, if you need tweaking for mobile then you can adjust the small grid accordingly as well.

Please advice, if “blocks” (i.e. Grooms etc.) are editable? Can I remove and add them?
I mean, I need structure below: Logo, Static/sliding photo, Text on wedding, Gallery, Adress block, and my fiancé wants comments block, like HyperComments, or something.

Re “Grooms block” I assume you mean the section? If so, yes, the Grooms section can be removed. You would just need to go into the menu system and remove it, once you do this the section will disappear from view. Is this what you mean?
The second part of your question I don’t quite understand. Could you perhaps do a quick sketch for me and send it through? This way I can gain an insight as to what your desired structure is and let you know if it would be possible.
Integration of a third party comments system is definitely possible, though it does not come with the theme out of the box.
Lastly, there are no stupid questions! Feel free to ask away.

You definitely can. Some sections you may need to tweak the grid, but essentially you can reoder each one to suit your needs.

That’s cool, happy to help. Here are my answers…
1. If you wanted to change the “and” label you would need to do this directly in code. Because I don’t have access to a desktop at the moment I cannot tell you exactly what file this is under, though I can suggest you do a global search for it and you will have access to it. It could be changed to Russian once you find it, sure. See how you go with this and let me know.
2. That is correct – they are both in the same section. You can remove the shortcode that corresponds to the contact form, just find this
[contact-form-7 id="141" title="RSVP"]and delete it. Then update the page.
3. Re the font, yeah I know what you mean, though that is something I don’t have access to. If the author supports other languages then you could definitely do that, however that is dependant on them. Awesome, great work. To change the fonts you would need to put it within the fonts directory. Once again, you can do a global search for the existing font reference and duplicate how I referenced these.
You’ll then need to also update the font family declarations in the style.css.

Now, I have no photos in the gallery, and I can’t add any of mine. I’m stuck.

What you need to do is go to the Photos section, then add the title, upload your images through the media uploader and finally set the one you want as a featured image. Once you do this publish the photo and you’ll be good to go.

First screenshot link goes to a 404 so I cannot see the issue. Second link shows. Perhaps do a fresh install in another directory just to test. This way you can determine if it’s an issue on the other install.

Ok, so one thing I see from the screenshot is that you have not set your featured image. The featured image area is set on the second module on the right column. It’s in another language so I cannot be more specific.

The theme currently only supports only one photo gallery as it is part of the Photo custom post type.
An alternative, could be to add your extra photos in the Blog section, this is just a thought of course.
If multiple Photo galleries are requested I will consider it as a future enhancement to the theme.
Yes, the 10 photos in the gallery is a bug. I have limited internet access so I am unable to submit the fix. That being said, if you follow these instructions it should do the trick from your end.
Step 1 – In your WordPress admin area go here
Plugins > Editor > Eternity Collection Suite Plugin > eternity-collection-suite/eternity-gallery.php
Step 2 – find this code block

There is an update on it’s way (in the next week) that will contain slide ordering. That being said, in the interim, if you need to accomplish this then you could always upload the slides in the original intended order.

Just a follow up to this thread – you can change the order of the slides by updating your published date.
e.g. If you want a specific slide to show first, then change the date to be the most up to date. If you want it to show last, then back date it as you need to.

To remove those widgets go to Appearance > Widgets then you can drag the widgets outside the custom widget areas, or select them individually and click on the Delete link.

I am having problems uploading the xml file. I am getting the following error:
500: Internal server error
This error is generated when a script running on the server could not be implemented or permissions are incorrectly assigned for files or directories
Troubleshooting suggestions:
Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists.
Ensure that any CGI or Perl scripts have at least .755. permissions.
If trying to run PHP and you get this error, you may have an invalid php.ini in your /cgi-bin, or may be missing your php.dat file in this folder.
I am using NS hosting.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

This issue appears to be coming from your host and not the theme itself.
Could you contact them and see what information they provide?
I’m thinking it could have to do with the file system permissions on the server – these may not be writable.

By side navigation photography do you mean those that fade in/out? If so, go into Media > Easy Backstretch. You will then have access to add the background images you wish.

Re the Foundation plugin, you need only to install the Eternity Collection Suite Plugin this will have all the required custom post types including the Foundation Clearing Lightbox.
You should be prompted which plugins to install upon activating the theme.

Remember you also have the documentation file which will assist with this, specifically the Plugin Installation section.

Congrats for the theme. Before buying it I would like to know if there is a chance in the Photos section once you click on a album to actually mix photos with video in the gallery.
Also is there is any option for creating just a single page so that lets say for instance under gifts it navigates to an internal url instead of going to an external link.

The theme is powered by ZURB’s Foundation Framework clearing lightbox feature. It appears at this time this is not supported (here is a link http://foundation.zurb.com/forum/posts/1015-video-lightbox)
That being said, you could create this as a separate section on the page and include the embed as a standalone if you wanted to.
If I think I understand your second question correctly, you want to know if the theme comes with standalone pages, meaning it is not on the actual one page layout? if this is what you need, then yes, this is possible.
