@mkultra1982 @Codestag Thank you Codestag, i’m not mad not at all, just expressing my thoughts. codestag have explained themselves and I am happy with that – I wish in no way to pick a fight and this is not the forum to do so…

There are plenty of features I would like but as it happens I will explore these via other means as it’s clearly getting on peoples nerves that I add my comments all the time. (although some of the feature requests I truly believe will benefit others).

PS I did purchase this theme so its not as if I’m not entitled to ask.

Hi Codestag – great theme – thanks. Apologies if you have answered this question already in the comments above, but feeling a bit crook today and haven’t the energy to search or read much… I am curious to know how you have achieved the 2up side by side related posts at the bottom of this page http://demo.codestag.com/ink/2014/04/07/a-weekend-at-yosemite-park/ On my site I have related posts loading, but they look pretty average and sit 3 across inline with the main content area. Look forward to hearing from you. Nick

Hey Codestag – found an earlier reply you posted. All sorted. I was assuming the relationship would be via category, but it is via tags. It’s all working perfectly and looks great. Nick

Glad that you figured it out. Should you have any further questions, feel free to create a ticket on our support forum. Thanks.

I really like this theme and appreciate the effort you have put into it. I do wish it had the parallax effect like exposure.co for featured images. If you have the time, in an upcoming update can you add the ability to turn off Google Fonts and use a custom script (e.g. TypeKit)? I have added it to mine, but don’t want to have to go back after every update to fix it. Also, there really needs to be an entry for 500px in the social listing. I know font-awesome doesn’t have the brand icon yet, but maybe you could use fa-camera until they do. http://www.stepwalkphoto.com/

Hi,

We don’t have any plans to parallax effects for now. Turning off the Google Fonts is easy, so is adding the Typekit script.

Under Customizer > Typography options, just set the fonts to Serif/Sans Serif, at the very top of the list. Afterwards, just add your script under General Settings > ‘Google Analytics Tracking Code’ field without script tag and it should work.

The reason we’ve added is to avoid adding too many field for authors page, we realise that the needs will be always different though. We’ll surely provide a way to extend user profiles fields by some filter in future update.

If you have any further questions, please create a support ticket on our support forum. Thanks.

@codestag thank you for the feedback and the tip.

@richpearsonwd: Jesus dude. Are you serious??? From day one you have been bombing the author with requests. And now you are mad because he does not apply all your suggestions in this theme? Literally, I laughed.

Anyway, this is not what I came here for. I have a small issue, I have made some changes to the custom css box, but they do not seem to be on effect at the frontpage. Am I missing something?

Hi there

Please, there is no reason to pick a fight, everyone is free to submit suggestions and express themselves.

For your issue, kindly submit a ticket at our support desk at http://support.codestag.com and we will look into it.

Meanwhile, it might be just a browser cache thing, so try to hard refresh the page by hitting Cmd+Shift+R or empty the browser’s cache.

Thanks!

Worked! I feel stupid. You sir are a wizard. Thanks again!

Love your newest theme! Will buy it soon. Can you please create a page password recovery too? instead of showing standard WP recovery password page.

Using your other 2 themes. You’re making some of the most professional themes!!

No, we did not forget to design this page, nor we were lazy. We have put an extremely amount of work on this theme, and calling us lazy, sounds rude and insulting.

We told you above that this has to do with the Restrict content pro plugin. If you have any objection with that, you may submit your complaints to Pippin Williamson, the creator of the plugin.

If you consider the design of INK as poor design as you say, you may freely find another theme that better serves your purpose.

Thank you.

Don’t get me wrong. By poor I meant not thoughtful. Leaving above mentioned issues without your attention is just disappointing. The theme is AWESOME! You did enormous work. I will still buy it, it’s unique and I have no other choice. Thank you!

Let me explain this for you on how does it works.

Registration, Login and Password Recovery pages are default WordPress pages, that remains same with every theme, even with default twentyfourteen theme.

Now to address your examples with RCP and WooCommerce, in comparison with Ink and Crux, there is a difference. Login and registration pages in RCP are by default included w/ shortcodes but not the password recovery page. However, in WooCommerce ( as you define in “Crux” ) has the password recovery page included by default. This is much of a plugin features when dealing with member registration page, not theme.

And we certainly don’t find the default WordPress pages ugly, be that Password recovery page, login, or the comment invalidation page. No matter which theme you use, it will always remain the same unless it explicitly overrides it.

Considering the purpose of Ink, it’s created for sharing beautiful stories and compatibility with RCP is just an added feature.

Hope it makes things clear.

Hi,

I’ve bought this great theme but there are some issues in Internet Explorer, check: http://www.shareaniceday.org

The headers aren’t loading, instead there is a full white box, with no image and background color. It works in other browsers like chrome just fine. Can you check this?

Regards,

Bob.

Hi there, support for all our themes is provided through our support desk at http://support.codestag.com

Please open a ticket there and we will look into it.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry but I bought my template here at themeforest so I’m expecting an answer here. I’m not going to create a new account at your support desk.

Hi Bob,

Sorry, but there is a “Support” tab next to the “comments” tab. It clearly states that support is offered to our support desk. By purchasing the theme you agree to this. Why we choose to have a dedicated support desk although we are not required by Envato to offer support at all? For a big number of reasons.

The main reason is to be able to serve our customers in an effective way, and we need to have a dedicated place where we have all support requests filed nice and tidy, and to be able to track their progress.

So if you need support, I am afraid you will have to open a ticket at http://support.codestag.com and help us to help you.

Thanks for the understanding :)

Hi,

I love the theme, but I have one issue concerning the cover opacity.

Is there a way to set a default cover opacity? I like to set it to a higher value than 40 and it is kind of annoying to change it manually in every post.

I guess a small source code modification would do the trick. But in which file?

Thanks Alex

Hi,

You can change that under inc/meta/post.php on line 26. If you have any further questions please create a ticket on our support forum.

First of all – wow – I bow to your awesomeness – excellent blogging theme!

1. When I select “Premium Content Page” via menu in the demo I get to your premium article. When I click on login there I get redirected to the standard (ugly) Wordpress login mask. Is that just a glitch (missing checkmark in settings) or is it always like this?

2. Your custom login looks great. I wonder what happens when I actually log in. Do I get to WP dashboard or straight back to the article?

3. Could you provide a subscriber demo login to check what customers can see and access?

Hi, you probably refer to the admin bar at the top… There is an easy way to hide this using a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-admin-bar-from-non-admins/ or you can ask Pippin how to remove it upon purchasing the plugin. I am sure he will be able to guide you through.

Thanks!

Thanks Codestag! Just read that one line of code added to functions.php does the same job. Alternatively there’s also a dedicated switch for that inside WP settings.

OMG, I had totally forgot that :) Yes, good catch!

This may be a dumb question, but is this theme compatible with Mobile devices as well?

If you mean if it is responsive, of course it is, like all our themes.

Thanks!

Hello, in the new version, where are the fonts like georgia, helvetica, tacoma, times new roman, etc? I had previously set my body font to georgia. Now the customizer is simply blank, and it makes me nervous.

Hi there, not sure what you mean by the customizer being blank, but we will be happy to assist you to solve this at our support desk. Please open a ticket at http://support.codestag.com and provide admin login details in the ticket as well.

Thanks!

Pretty please add in image rollovers to Ink :-)

Sorry it seems unfair not my intention to upset you guys, you do produce some awesome work BUT…

Users who purchase themes don’t always have the knowledge or understanding as to why things happen they way they do in WP and PHP so when they ask simple questions and get very little back from the answers it annoys them. There are some theme authors out there that go so far out of there way to help and mod themes and there are some who offer little or nothing…

I think Codestag you would increase your sales dramatically if you increased your customer support and were a little more open to helping users instead of just saying no or speak to the plugin author or get a developer to help you.

I’m not saying you should spend hours and hours on writing code for people but being a little more pro-active would help :-)

Keep up the good work Rich

Thanks for the input Rich, but this is not the way we work, at all. We have a quite straight policy about customer support, and we try to follow it as best as we can.

Let me mention some points, don’t get me wrong, I am not planning to change your mindset, but it might make things clearer for you:

- As it is clearly stated, support is offered for theme bugs, errors, setting up and basic how-to related to the theme. We do not mention anywhere that we make customizations, and we try to be clear that we do not. So, if a buyer is aware of that, and he still buys a theme, and then asks for customizations, then I do not think that this is by the rules.

- We are aware of the competition, and the fact that many authors go beyond support and customize themes is not something we are afraid of, and not something that we plan to do in any case. If you do a customization request to one buyer, then it would be unfair to refuse to do it for another. So, we prefer to support all our buyers equally, and being faithful to our policy for all, we manage to support effectively.

- If an issue relates to a plugin, we prompt the buyer to the plugin. If it has to do with the theme, we gladly work to resolve it. If someone requests for a customization we prompt him to a web developer. If something requires an extra line of code, we will of course provide that. Simple as that.

- We are very proud of the level of support we provide, and trust me, we are pretty much open to help and guide people towards a direction, even if it has to do with default WordPress functions.

- You should also understand that from our side, we maintain 10 WordPress themes, and now working on the 11th. There are countless suggestions, requests, support tickets, feature updates that we must consider in order to keep all the themes to a certain quality and updated to the latest industry standards.

- Many of your suggestions were included in the updates, I do not see the discomfort why not every one of them is not fulfilled.

Hope this clears things up :)

Hi again :) if that is your policy then that’s fine I will have to accept it, I personally don’t think it’s very helpful though and puts people off… anyway your prerogative and if your happy with it then that’s what counts :)

Regarding features added, you perhaps listened to me for captions and filters, but I have added loads of feature requests to https://trello.com/b/wDHaifSa/codestag-idea-board and heard nothing…

Really all I want is for image rollovers to be added and I would be ah apply happy man :-)

This is what I added

Please can you add a pricing table shortcode to stagtools? Please can you add a 500px Widget to stagtools? Add a square photo layout Front page cover images to have more height to them Image rollovers Avatar support

Hi! is this theme compatible with Visual Composer Plugin in articles? thank you very much Stefano

Hi there, we have not tested it for such compatibility. It might be, but it might be not. Thanks!

using Version 3.9.1 of Wordpress:

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.

any suggestions?

Yes, you are uploading the wrong file. Just upload only the installable WordPress files and not the whole package.

You can also have a look at this article: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/269

Thanks!

yes just figured that out to just upload the “ink.zip” inside the actual zip folder. thanks!

If anyone is considering buy this theme, or any theme from Code Stag…. Just do it. They’re one of the best developers to work with here on Theme Forest.

Thanks for the kind words Jeff :)

Glad you enjoy our themes! Cheers!

Hello, love the theme. It looks fine on my mac buth when I try watching the demo on my Ipad through Safari all goes wild and does feel very unstable. Temporary glitch or whats up with this?

Hello, can you try removing the Themeforest frame? We have extensively tested the theme on iPads, so it should definitely works smooth.

Thanks!

Works very well when I removed the frame :) One last question, is the demo content complete, all pages in the demo included? Incredibly beautiful Theme this!

yes, all pages are included in the dummy content .xml

thanks!

Still totally loving this 5-star theme.

Any plans to make the menu drawer open with a swipe action on mobile devices in the future?

Hi! Not actually, but if it is technically possible based on the current layout we might consider it as an option. In any case, feel free to post any idea/suggestion to our public idea board at trello

Thanks!

Hello,

Beautiful design on this theme. I just have a quick question as i’m looking to create a photography blog is it possible to have the images in the post display as a slideshow of some sort? Thanks

Hello there,

Not out the box, but I think there might be a plugin out there that might do this job.

Thanks!

Just to let you know (as I think you are completely fed up with me by now) I have added my ideas to: https://trello.com/b/wDHaifSa/codestag-idea-board as requested.

Be awesome to know if you are considering any of them

Rich

Welcome – any further updates coming soon?

Yes, in the following days we are planning to push a minor update with image credits feature and some minor improvements.

Stay tuned! Thanks!

ok sounds brilliant – any of my ideas in the update at all (other than image credits)?

Hello, Really loving this theme! The only snag is that the logo doesn’t resize properly with the rest of the site on mobile, obscuring the title if the first post. I see 18 days ago you let another user with the same problem know that a plugin should be available soon to fix this. I tried installing the Stag Envato Updater to make sure I didn’t miss out on this update, but it will only let me “install” not “activate” the plug-in. Am I doing this right? Thanks for the great work guys.

Hi there!

Please open a ticket at http://support.codestag.com and we will guide you through!

Thanks!

I had a problem with my credit card and so i bought the theme twice. The first time a bought it, the ordering process was stopped, because of a problem with my credit card. Then i bought it again and now the theme is twice in my account and was double deducted. Can you please cancel one of the orders and get me back the amount? Thanks a lot

Hi there!

Please send an email to envato support at support@envato.com and describe them the situation. I am sure they will help you out!

But it is something that only they can do, since we cannot process/ revert orders and payments.

Thanks!
