Uh, I recently purchased your theme and in the documentation it shows how to edit the welcome text but there is no way to edit it in tumblr’s theme customizer. The option isn’t there at all…only the subtitle option is there….
^ screenshot of the missing welcome text option. This theme is kinda useless to me if I can’t edit the welcome text. Please add it back in, thanks. I’ll wait a couple days for this to be fixed before demanding a refund. Needless to say, I’m very disappointed.

Regarding yours question: I don’t know why you are so disappointed, because of course MIMESI offers this option in your admin’s panel (please check the screenshot below).

I just showed you a screenshot showing you that option for the welcome text was not showing up on my end. I use Chrome. I literally had to change it in the code and some people won’t know how to do that.

I invite you to check better in your options’ list, because MIMESI support this option, as showed in my last screenshot.
You’ll find this field in the last options of your sidebar. It’s important clarify it, because this is a default option, everybody can change it from their visual custom admin. (without any coding skills).
Chrome is ok, me too use it, but even others browsers like: IE, Firefox or Safari (also Opera) are ok, to manage it from your custom admin. If you can’t find it, just trying to refresh your page, because it could be caused by a simple >> not-correctly-loading-problem.

I’m sorry but is not possible testing the theme in yur account before purchase it. You can check the demo to understand how can be your next portoflio.
Also take in account that MIMESI offers an advanced custom solution for manage the thumbnail (image preview of single work) like separate image (to get the perfect visual result).

hey there. first of all i love the theme! but for some reason i got some problems with the categories. next to the ‘view all’ button i’d like to categorize my works (‘comic art’, ‘drawings’ etc.). i’ve already tagged the respective photos with exactly these names and i put the same name into ‘category tag 1’ etc. but when i click on these buttons nothing but the ‘load more projects’ button appears. hope you understand my problem and can help me! best regards, l.
ps: is it possible that the tagging only works with recent uploads? ‘cause if i upload a new picture and tag it with ‘comic art’ for example it totally works. does this mean i have to post my older stuff again?

Nice theme! I’d like to check few things before purchasing. Is it possible to change main text “Howdy. I’m a grid based layout focused on your talent. Greet your visitors & Showcase your work with style.” to image file? I want to show my main image on that. Or.. is it possible to remove that text area?

Of course, you can remove the “text-area”; you can put a 100% background image in the header; you can add a simple image in place of the welcome message (text-area); and you can change and customize the text as you prefer!

Hello (again)!
On the portfolio page, I need to put in the same page pictures AND a video. As the template is build, I cannot do it like that unless putting a code line. Even though, the video appears in the right column and not right after the pictures. So can you tell me how to change that? I really need to have a clean presentation, with both pictures and video following the same column.

About your questions:
1. MIMESI does not provide the option to choose (directly from admin) the number of columns, but with some little knowledges of code, you can easily change that. About the size of thumbnails I can support you with simple customization. Example: we can remove the white block with title and tags, to maintain only the thumbnail and more. Anyway, I will assist you in every step!
2. Yes, of course. You can easily remove the text or choose to use “image” in place of text.
In general, I can support you during many mini-customization (this not include advanced customization like add or remove columns, but others things reported by you, YES!).

If you want to ask for a refund, you should contact ThemeForest, because we authors do not carry out this task.
I am always available to help, in person, all users, so if you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact me. Surely we can find an easy solution. Obviously, if the structure of MIMESI not proposed functions for your intentions, this is not a problem of the theme.

Great theme! One question—I used ”+ Add a Page” and the link for that page appears in a generic typeface with a bullet next to it, stacked below “Work” (which is styled properly) in the main nav. So it’s not taking on the styles of the main navigation. I’m pretty savvy with editing the HTML and CSS, but I’m not sure how to adjust this since ”+ Add a Page” and “Show a link to this page” is inherent to the Tumblr UI. An easy fix? Thanks for your help!!!

The theme has been designed to focus attention on the typographic message, but you can easily change the welcome message with an image. Obviously I will be happy to assist you throughout the customization.
More complex changes are not covered by the technical support, but I’ll be happy to help you with useful tips. Usually, with some minimal knowledge of html and css, you can change easily everything you want.
