On the post title, is it possible to set it to load at the same time as the body copy? I understand the reason for the delay on the photo but it would be helpful if the title could load when you open up a post.

When any post is opened, the title to the post does not automatically show up until the feature photo loads.
Can the post title be displayed with the body copy without the delay?
The first two images link to the site using the Venus Responsive News Magazine Blog theme. The third image links to the other site but the post title loads immediately when the post is opened.

In the prior version of the Venus theme, we adjusted the height to 750px on the css/screen.css find ”.single_post_ft_wrapper” so the title, feature photo and content would load at the same time.
After the latest update, there is a delay and the title appears after the feature photo has loaded. We tried editing that same line by changing the height to 750px and the delay is still there.
We are in the process of restoring the prior version of the theme so the title, feature and content load at the same time.
How can we stop the delay on the title in a post on the latest update?

On Venus sample homesite—VideoDownload Helper (Firefox plugin) shows both an .mp4 and .webm is served to the page. (Strangely, the webm files work fine in Chrome…very frustrating)

How did you encode your webm files. We’ve used Miro (for Mac) and no matter how we output the file, it will not play (in Firefox 30) after we’ve uploaded it to the media library. We’d like it work like your webm file of the birds and fish

Oh sorry for miss understood. Theme use standard version of jQuery which comes from Wordpress itself. I think it’s 1.10 version.

You need an application name “PoEdit” and you can download it for FREE here http://www.poedit.net/.
Once you download and install it. Open file /languages/en_US.po with PoEdit then translate it to yours. You will need to upload all files in /languages folder to your server once you finished translate.

I tried to take out the title on the posts, but it would not let me, the title popped back up when I updated it. If there is any way to get these things to go away, please let me know. Thank you for your quick reply. Ok here is a screen shot. This is my home page. I only want my featured image to show in the 3 block slider NOT the black block with the post title on it. I want to totally eliminate those blocks because they obstruct the images and we have the necessary info embedded into the images. I have circled the blocks I want to eliminate or disable. PS: We really really love this theme. These title blocks we can’t get rid of are the only thing we don’t like.

I tried that. It didn’t work. Can you give me a more detailed instruction please? I looked under Appearance then to Edit, then in Custom css/php and every place that had slider_wrapper .main_post .post_title i added display:none; and nothing happened. The font changed but that was about it. Do I add that display:none; before it says read all? or after? Do I leave in the comma or take it out? Do I take away the font H3 or leave that? I need more help please.

Neither one did anything except change the font
I changed everything back, now it’s taking forever to load. I’m ready to just toss this theme and start over with a different one. Before I was able to at least change the headings on the slider images to a dark grey so they were not as noticeable, but now even when I change the colors in the theme settings, typography, the color does not change. Ideally I want to get totally rid of them but what you told me to do did not work. I presume I did it wrong but I have no idea how to do it and make those blocks go away. Adding display:none; did not make them go away.

Yes, on the single post page, and yes, they have all widgets, and yes they are correctly set up in Appearance > Widgets.

I have 2 questions I was hoping you could help me on:
1) I would like to make the red bar that activates when you hover over the nav in different colours for the different nav options. I know you can use nth child to do this, but I am not sure how with your existing css. can you please help?
2. I want to put a border-bottom property on each category that is a colour unique to that category, but not sure the best way to do it. (there are about 4 or 5 ways to do it. Wanted your opinion on the fastest given your own framework.
