Hello,
I have installed the foundation js/foundation/foundation.interchange.js file for the responsive sliders, but they are not working. Is interchange compatible with the slider being used (flexslider)?
I realise it’s the issue of converting the to a background image in the scripts.js. Will need to see how to trigger it after interchange has run.
I have sorted this out. I added the interchange to the
oops.. *needed to add interchange to the parent list item and then remove the background-image css class and removed the image tag as well.
Hello, glad you worked this out. I haven’t actually used interchange at length myself..
HI ! Just bought your template… or what I thought your template would be. Indeed, the files downloaded are not at all showing what the live preview promises. What’s going on with this ? Home page is different and menus dont display at all like in the live preview. It’s just another version, a lot less interesting than the one advertise. Where and how do I get the template I really intended to by ? Thanks for a quick reply. I am working on an urgent project and must say I am a bit disappointed by this issue.
Thank you , Val
great customer care, now it works ! Thank you Craig.
No worries Val!

Hi,
I have been trying to upload my files to my server but keep getting a 403 error message. I have contacted my hosting provider and they have checked their servers and see no problem. They believe it has something to do with the file permission.
Would you be able to help me please?
Thanks Jas
Hi Jas,
Thanks for purchasing Pangaea. This sounds like something specific to your server/ftp environment. Make sure you are uploading with permissions set to 755 ( for all directories ) and 644 ( for files within directories )
Love the theme! Nice work.
Jumping on Jlcurty’s comment – Any chance of building in a sidebar menu option. I feel these are a nicer user experience especially on mobile.
Alternatively, is it easy to add this myself?
Purchasing the theme now! Thanks!
Hello and thanks for purchasing!
We will consider adding a sidebar menu for the next update. Depending on your level of proficiency with HTML / CSS and Javascript will determine how easy or hard it is. Basically you need a fixed position div translated off the screen (html), then when the toggle is clicked (javascript), the content container and menu translate to the left (using css transforms)
Thanks for your reply! Hope you do consider adding it!
Any specific scripts/demos that you can recommend?
Hi there, I think this is a brilliant concept and lovely design, BUT I can’t actually get variant’s editing functionality to work. I’m on a laptop, and whenever I right click by ctrl + click, the editing options that appear immediately disappear, and I can’t actually click any of the editing options. I’ve tried opening it up in Safari and Chrome. Any ideas? I would love for this to work!
Ok, I got this to work in Firefox – but you should look into Chrome + Safari.
Strange – we have tested (and in fact built) Variant in Chrome and never came across this.. May have something to do with Ctrl + click for right click actions.
Thanks, we’ll look into it
Update 1.2

1. If i need to add a custom element [as i can code in html, css], how easy is it for me to do this ?
2. If i save my designed page, will it be physically saved on my hosting using your page builder ? Does it include php files to do this ?
3. How can i link 1 page to another ? I cant understand this part and How can i make a 1 page scrolling template ? you have a video for this ?
It never gives me any option to join a page or something , it just says , give href value..what to write here
A quick reply will be appritiated.
Hello
1. Unfortunately adding your own custom elements to Variant is not supported at this time. Naturally, you could add them in the output html as per normal.
2. No – Variant uses local browser storage to save your pages but does not publish them to your hosting using PHP. You need to save the output HTML as a file manually
3. To make inner link navigation you need to rename the sections in the sidebar, you willl see a little link icon appear beside them, then when you change the link in the menu, you will see a dropdown that allows you to link to your named sections on the page. (This is in the docs and also demonstrated in the video walkthrough)
4. To link off to another page you would just need to save your pages as html like ‘page1.html’ for example and then make the href value ‘page1.html’
I hope this helped
1. I dont need support to add a custom element, i can see how others are added and i can add mine and get it ready for my client, i just wanted to know is it possible ? I hope your code is not encoded
2. Can you provide me a link where in html code is generated as i wish to have a look of the code format before i make a purchase.
You are welcome to add your own elements into Variant if that is your desire but we wont be providing support for use in this way.
hi, i downloaded the file and use the builder. But i cant link the top navigation to the page.
can you advise.
Hello – I’m not quite sure what you’re asking here.. do you mean make a onepage nav?
Hi,
Many thanks for the response and my apologies for these other question.
The video background feature have a problem. In a large screen the video the video is not centered and also don’t fill al the screen than the photo background feature.
I try several things and was unsuccessful.
Many Thanks Nx
Hello – that’s strange, I’m testing on a 27” iMac fullscreen and the video covers the entire area – are you resizing the window to test by chance? Try making it fullscreen then refreshing
Hi, I test reducing the google chrome view but i gonna try in a bigger screen. I have also another big problem with the video.
I open the home video index without any modification and the problem is that the video is cut. I don’t change the video link or the video file, is the file that already exist in the files in the original template and the video is not full view. (im testing on a macbook pro 13 (not retina display) )
Thanks in Advance
The video appear in all my screen but the video is not resizing. It’s like the video have a zoom, so have video “out” of my screen.
Thanks for your patience. Please open a ticket on our support forum at mediumrare.ticksy.com and you will be able to upload a screenshot for us.
Cheers, James
Thanks to you. Is a great template and is really cool the support offered.
I have uploaded now a ticket in the link that you provide.
Cheers, Nx
Hi, firstly congratulations on an awesome job with this template. I appear to have found a small bug with the masonry layout work pages show all / filter buttons not working in Firefox 30.0 or 31.0. Any help with a fix for this would be greatly appreciated.
Hey James,
Thanks for purchasing Pangaea
Sorry to hear you’ve encountered this bug, here is the fix:
open scripts.js:
Change the text on line 44 from even.preventDefault() to return: false;
and on line 432, remove event.preventDefault() and add return false; on line 440
We will include this fix in the next update but for now the above method will solve the issue
Works perfectly, thank you
No problems
Hi,
First of all, congratulation for the amazing template.
I have one question. It’s possible to play the audio of the video header? This should be essencial for me.
Many Thanks, Nx
Yes you can, the video has been muted for the demo so as not to be intrusive
Oh sorry, my apologies. Was so simple. Sorry my question. Problem Solved.
Many Thanks for the response.
One more question. Is difficult to make that the images and videos don’t disappear in the mobile phone size?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, the video background feature is not well supported on mobile platforms, so we have chosen to show a poster image instead.
Hi, I am just in the phase of composing a page in the Demo. I would have liked the icons in the “Our process” divider to be links to a longer text section discussing the feature but it looks like this is not an option. Or is it, somehow? I am a complete beginner, so I may easily have missed something. Could you help, please?
Thanks in advance, W
Hi W, this function is not available yet in Variant, editing links will only work if the link already exists in our template. You could, however, add the link to those elements after you have output your html.
Thanks for your reply. I am not sure I will be able to do that, since I am not familiar with html – that’s why your builder is so great.
I will try, anyway. Thanks again and grats for the template.
No problem mates
Aloha,
Great theme and very easy to use.
Q?: Is it possible to add an image background to almost any section ?
For example: I want to add a nice texture image being the Contact form.
Site in Question: http://www.mrdocrock.com/dev/contact.html
Thanks in advance
Hi and thanks for purchasing. There is not a function in Variant to do this, but you can set up a class in the style.css file called .texture-background. Just set the background image in that class then add the class to the section you want to have the image.
Hi, very nice html-generator! What techniques(jquery, ajax…?) you use for build it? Can you add some “change color” options? Also, it would be nice to save output as .html directly(without do it manualy). Good luck with sales!
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately it is not possible to save anything out of a browser to the local filesystem directly as security measures prevent this action.
Hi, Merium_rare
Amazing template. Hope to get to your level!
Can I change the loading image easily? Maybe place a gif instead?
Tnx L
Also: can I rearrange the blocks of different htmls as I need? For example, a part of the corporate html inside the videobg template? Do you think this will compromise responsiveness?
Tnx so much!
3. Can I have different video backgrounds for different sections. XD Tnx
Hello and thanks for purchasing
1. The loading image is actually all done by css in the ‘preloader.css’ file. So you are free to change it to whatever you like
2. You can rearrange any of the blocks available in variant. Outside of variant you would just need to cut and paste the blocks you want into the relevant HTML files, this will not affect responsiveness.
3. We are about to submit an update to Variant which allows you to select the source for each video
No words. Such an amazing and professional product crafted with love and dedication. Big ups for the team, you guys ROCK!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support
It’s always great to hear such positive feedback – it pushes us to make the next one even better
Kickass html template with a page builder, sweet ! Purchased immediately !
Suggestion for future updates; A language switcher ‘block’ in Variant for in the nav menu? So whenever click on EN or flag icon it links to the translated html page.
Keep up the awesome work !
Thanks for the tip, and glad you are loving Pangaea with Variant!
Cheers, James
Hello! Can I insert html code in the version of the site for 15$? I want to insert Vimeo videos.
Thanks.
Yes you can
Hello, I just purchased theme and I’m having an issue uploading it. I tried to find the support forums or documentation, but im not having a bit of luck.
Plz help a computer challenge girl.:) thanks a bunch, lori
Well, It seems I don’t have any clue what I’m doing with this theme. Is there a very dumbed down version of help for it. I really don’t have a clue what I”m doing.
Hi Lori,
Thanks for your interest in Pangaea. It sounds like you haven’t had any experience using an Html template before.
You will need to find the cpanel for your website hosting and upload the template through the file manager. You then need to either generate HTML files using the variant builder and save them to your server, or edit the html files manually using a text editor.
Unfortunately we are unable to teach you the ins and outs of html as this is beyond the scope of support for this item.
Thanks,
Craig
