Hi, I have purchased Metro – A Theme for vBulletin 4.2 -> extracted the file -> followed enclosed PDF installation instructions, but got stuck on point 2) – log in to your admin panel. Nothing was installed yet, just folder with themes copied to my server, so I don’t think I will find the file with admin panel.
Was the file received in complete? Do I need to install to my server anything else beforehand please? I did not find any other instructions regarding the very first installation.

One very last question, trying to move to a logo.png with a white/background color background on my site http://www.christianmom.com and want to remove the colored box to white/background color that is where the logo goes?
Still want the different blocks in color (pink), just the block where the logo goes to the background color…

Yes, you can either do it via absolute positioning or editing the template layout, but the last way is more complex.
I have tried editing the position via #top_header .globalsearch, but can not get the box to move… Any suggestions?

Sure, you can add a background image to the style. Try to assign the background to html-tag of the style.
I have tried to apply a background image, but can only apply to “doc_background’, and then set ‘body_background’, but still have many places on the theme that still have the background image? is there a better way to do this? Saw the example from http://www.pokemonunited.nl/, but can not accomplish the same… Another way to approach?
You need to delete color background of those blocks. Then you’ll see your main image background.

As far as I see you modified the theme in some way. That’s why your login is not a popup anymore. You need to revert the header templates to get it back.

You need to change some Style Variables and css-code for that. Style Variables can be found here – AdminCP – Styles & Templates – Style Manager – YOUR_STYLE – Style Variable Editor. Here you just need to replace the default blue color to your preferred color. You also need to edit some css-templates and replace the color there too. In this case you can use ‘Find and Replace’ tool that is built in the theme manager.

Do you want to have a completely responsive header? I think you could try to make the logo responsive. Just use the following media queries – http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/media-queries-for-standard-devices/
But don’t forget, the theme has min-width, so smartphone resolutions from that page are not necessary.

vBulletin 4 doesn’t have any tables in its header. If you add the code you may break the header. And since the theme has min-width you just need to add some media queries to work with screen resolutions.
And by the way. You don’t need to edit any of the templates to add a banner. Just use the default banner system for that!

You should use Metro for 4.2.0 for you vB version. And when you install just set ‘Ignore Style Version’ option to ‘Yes’.
