Good News!
One of the most popular feature requests from customers was the ability to have full-width images in the post content. We are glad to share with you that we just pushed an update to INK that does exactly this.
http://codest.ag/FullWidthPS: To have full width image, simply set the image alignment to none, and it should do the trick

I love this theme, but the I think the navigation is to hidden away. Perfect for mobile, but not for the desktop. Is this the only option for the navigation? Would be great to have the navigation visible in the header. One more question, can you make a sub-navigation? Otherwise I will choose your other Theme OM. Also nice, but not so beautiful as INK. I think it is important for new visitors to have a clear navigation. If you visit a travelblog, you wanna see destinations etc…China or Asia. Like a search function trough the navigation…

I understand your concern, but yeah, in Ink only available navigation is in the sliding sidebar. Not just that, it’s fully widgetized, so you can put any widget under that. We’ve no plans on implementing a navigation header.

Now that the homepage and post list are in the format of featured images, what will it look like when there are some posts without a featured/cover image? I’m very impressed by the theme but just wonder what the general look could be if I have a lot of text only posts. Thanks.

Thanks for your interest in one of our themes
To answer your question—where there is no feature image set for the post, it will use the a solid background color, which can be replaced with any color of your choice with per page background settings. Here’s a screenshot of the same – https://cloudup.com/cjVF7HI-UxG

Nope, that kind of functionality suits well in a plugin. I’m sure there must be some plugin out there with such a functionality, you may want to search for it

Is is possible to display the featured image of the post, when the video cannot be loaded oder doesnt start automatically? On the Ipad video dont start automatically. So I would like that the user will see the featured image of the post instead of the background with a certain color!

When I create a custome static start site using the witgedized function and add the recent post (grid) widget to the sidebar, it is not possible to set the layout of the recent posts. I see only two next to each other. I can only define how many recent post I would like to see. Is it possible to choose a different layout, like it is when you set recent posts for your start site?

I understand its all wrapped but do you think this might be something in future updates? A full width section/image that breaks the width?

5. Map option. Or at least if you can some how create a short code that allows out of the box images, as asked previously, it might be possible to insert other maps i.e. google maps into it.?

6. When the side menu is open, it would be great if you close the menu by also just scrolling down through the main body and the menu hides itself.

Noticed you have 1.1.5 out with “full width images” – how do i do this?

As plenty of others have noted, this is a great looking theme and I’m excited about the prospect of using it for storytelling. I have 3 questions that I was unable to answer by reviewing previous comments and the theme documentation:
1) On the live demo, post titles on the homepage shift a bit when I hover over them. They almost seem to get blurry for a second, then return to normal. Is this intended or have you observed this behavior? It’s not a huge deal, but seems odd for such an otherwise clean theme. (I’m viewing on the latest version of Chrome).
2) Can the white header area on the author page be replace with an image through the theme’s options? I know this can be done with CSS changes (which you don’t support), but I’m curious if this functionality already exists in the theme.
3) Is there an option, or plan to include as an option in the future, a “sticky” top bar that keeps the logo and menu icon at the top of the screen when scrolling down? I know the goal is simplicity, but it’s a feature I have considered important in keeping readers on a site and I would much prefer it to a “go to top” arrow via a plugin.

1. I can’t seem to replicate the issue and neither it’s been reported so far. However, if the issue is there for you, we can sure provide you with a fix.
2 & 3. No! There is no such functionality as of now, but we might consider adding sticky navigation in future update, but can’t commit on it.

Thanks for the quick response. I wanted to follow up on #1 and let you know that there was some issue in Chrome where it said I was zoomed to 100%, but I was actually viewing everything at 110%...this caused the issue with the text and numerous other text issues on other sites. Upon fixing this, I no longer see anything strange with the text.
After looking at some other alternatives, I still think Ink may be the best option for a new project. I do look forward to any revisions down the road that could help retain readers (like sticky navigation).

Hi, it’s a special theme. Compliments for this job. Now I have one question for you guys. I love personalize and for that I need to change the little flag that appears in the top on every post. The funcion it’s “content” but I don’t understand where i can change this images. I would change this with my favicon. It’s hard to do this? Can I have the table where the command took the sample?
