My wife would like a theme that has the 4 characteristics mentioned below: 1- It has to look like a portal (because it will be a portal to help animals). 2-Visitants area for them to registrate and win points, stars ans medals, with a member area with a reputation system. Example: share 10 articles and win a point , after having 100 points wins a golden medal. 3-Very organized pages (like a newspaper journal and magazine). 4-Interaction between users (it can bea Forum).
Is this Theme recomended to her?
And whitch plugin do I need to use ?

1) I’m not sure what a portal looks like, but you can view the demo site and see if what the theme looks like – http://buddywp.wpengine.com
2) This is a very specialized request. The theme doesn’t offer these features but a plugin such https://wordpress.org/plugins/cubepoints-buddypress-integration/ may interest you.
3) Again take a look at the demo site to see what you think.
4) The theme works with the bbPress forum plugin, you can see an example here: http://buddywp.wpengine.com/forums/

I have a question now about the Plugin … cubepoints, is not updated for 2 years! myCred would be better?
I wasn’t aware it hadn’t been updated in so longer. I’m not sure if myCred would be better. Neither have been tested with the theme so this is only a suggestion. This is something you’ll need to look into yourself. If you can’t find the right plugin you can hire us to integrate this system into the Buddy theme for you.

For the logo image what kind of image format (JPEG, PNG, SVG, GIF or AI – Adobe Illustrator) the theme “Buddy” and “Plexus” accept?
Only vector images (SVG and AI– Adobe Illustrator)?
Only JPEG, GIF and PNG?
Or all of them?

Hi there,
You can use any of these image formats, the main factor is whether the browser will support them, which has nothing to do with the theme itself. JPG, GIF and PNG are supported by all browsers, SVG (AI) is not supported in IE8 but should work in most other browsers.

The theme will probably work but I’m only supporting 3.7 and above now. 3.5 is over a year old so you should really consider upgrading for the security updates alone.

You don’t need to do any coding to set up the theme as seen in the demo. The theme comes with demo files so you can set it up just like the demo in a matter of minutes. The help file also explains how to set up each page.

I’ve not tested the theme with BuddyDrive so I can’t say whether Buddy support this plugin. However I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.

Buddy is still actively supported and will continue to be update. I’m working on a new theme at the moment so theme updates slow down during this time. I’ve nearly finished the new theme so expect a new theme update to Buddy shortly.

1) Yes the theme comes with written documentation that explains how to set up all parts of the site, it also includes some basic help on customizing the theme.
2) Yes. You will need to use a plugin to allow users to login through Facebook or Twitter.
3) Unfortunately I cannot provide login access for security reasons.

I am thinking about buying this plugin, but have two question. I am planning on making a free-membership site and integrating buddypress.
Will I need to use a complementary membership plugin or does the theme come with the features for me to host a simple free-membership site?
Also, does the theme offer a redirect upon login for members? I would like to make a nice landing page advertising the site and members would login there and be directed to a member homepage.

The theme does not come with membership features, you’ll need to use a plugin such as s2 Member for this.
The login page redirects to the page you came from, but you can customize this with a small code change to go to any page you want.

Hi, I have created private ticket on your support website yesterday about “Buddy” theme, but I can’t find it on my account, also I have not received any confirmation on my registered email. Does it mean that this ticket has gone lost (unfortunately I did not write down it’s ID)? Should I have received the confirmation or status update on my email?
I managed to re-submit my ticket and now I can see it on my user profile, so that’s good. No email notification though

Good morning my name is Ricardo Triana, I´m a front end developer and web/mobile designer. Im looking to purchase a template for my startup company. What Im looking for is:
-User registration/sign up -User can edit their profile (avatar image and data) and publish. Profile can be viewed by all registered and not registered users. -User geolocation. Can user have a geolocation option when creating profeile. -Advanced search app -Responsive and extremely mobile friendly -Chat aplication or some kind of comment aplication so users can interact in a private/public manner. -User can create a post/page with custom fields, and will only be published after admin authorization. This post/page can be tagged so that it can be easily found by a user when using this tags as search filters. -User can create and share a post/page with custom fields that will only be viewed by certain users. User should be able to associate this post/page with a certain user that is registered in the site.
I know these might look like a bit too much, but it is my best option, i need some kind of minimum viable product to be online in a few weeks, that is why Im taking the template option as my last resource. And I know that some of these functionalities can be achieved with plugins and son on. But Id really like to know if plugins can be installed without any trouble and that your template will be able to install these plugins with no conflict.

All themes allow user registration and sign up. The theme works with the BuddyPress plugin which extends this functionality.
BuddyPress allows front end profile editing.
User geolocation – Theme does not offer this, not sure what plugins do unfortunately.
Advanced search app – Theme works with Search Everything plugin.
Responsive and extremely mobile friendly – Theme is responsive and mobile friendly.
Chat aplication or some kind of comment aplication so users can interact in a private/public manner. – BuddyPress offers these features.
User can create a post/page with custom fields, and will only be published after admin authorization – Use a plugin such as Gravity Forms which works with the theme.
This post/page can be tagged so that it can be easily found by a user when using this tags as search filters. – Any page/post can be tagged and searched.

1. Can I have users rating other user? 2. Can a user comment on another user´s profile? 3. cAn the user create posts that can be monitored and published by the admin. 4. Of Im not 100% satisfied will I get my momney back?

Unfortunately I cannot currently provide admin access to the demos due to security reasons. All the theme functions are listed on the item page and if you have anymore questions I’ll be happy to answer them.
1) The theme does not offer user ratings, you’ll need to find a plugin that does this.
2) Yes using BuddyPress.
3) Already answered this before, the theme does not offer this feature. You’ll need to use a plugin like Gravity Forms.
4) You will need to contact Envato (not me) if you want a refund. Refunds are generally only offered if the theme is broken or not as advertised.
i can not download this again? why? said it reach download limit… i have never known there’s a limitation, i have no idea how many times i have downloaded this, cuz, every time i downloaded it, never saved the original download, just make some changes on some files, and i didn’t do backup on files, when i need a original copy , i downloaded again…

Envato impose a download limit on files – it’s not something I did and is out of my control. You’ll need to contact Envato about this and they should be able to increase/remove the limit. I use the translate file from buddypress and bbpress. But it seems not working properly, some words are not translate at all. And I carefully checked the language file, it do have the translate but not show right. Please help.
