I just purchased this theme with the goal of using the Skilt version as the pillar of our site. However, when I install the Skilt dummy content everything is still displayed as the default Ink based theme.
What is the easiest way to get it exactly like the live demo version of Skilt?

Are cover sub-titles entered via custom field? Also, child theme isn’t respecting CSS changes…
Okay… a plug was needed for the sub-titles. Problems with child theme still exist. Also, an excerpt intermittently appears on post covers.

The theme looks so cool. I got a presale question; In the demo example, the main page is a blog entries grid but, can I use it as a pages grid (i want to show a list of pages (not entries) with the same style).

No, unfortunately not, this works only with posts. However, you can easily hide the metadata from the posts at the grid, and leave only the title. Then use the posts as pages.
Our friends at http://www.triplagent.com/ seem to have done something similar.
They gave a lot of effort to customize the theme overall though…

You can look through their API or go for Jetpack sharing buttons for better control. I’m afraid I can’t help you adding those buttons though, since we provide support for theme related issues only. You might wanna try hiring a developer from Envato Studio to get this done.

If no featured image is used, you can select a solid background color for the cover area. You can have a different background color for each post. Thanks!

For a future update, you should seriously consider making it possible to put BOTH the recent post grid AND the recent posts widget on the homepage. It would be great to be able to show nice big picture posts and have less important posts in text form in the beautiful widget below.

I created a child theme, and set the static page as the home page. I added the latests posts widget and was wondering it there is any way to get the “view more posts” button on the static home page, just as there is on the “latest blog posts page”? If not, would I need to go into the actual files and edit the html/php myself?

Well done on this theme. Very easy to use with a first time word presser. I have one question, how do you change the length of article in terms of minutes? example: “1 Minute Read” I can’t find any settings to do this.

There is no way to change it manually. There is a function which calculates the words and sets the reading time automatically, each time you update the respective post.
