Quick question. What is the best way of dealing with number of rooms per accomodation? – I am just talking about self-catered here. – Obviously users booking will want a clear indication of the number of bedrooms and possibly bathrooms.. – There doesn’t seem to be an obvious way of adding this to a property currently.

Also full screen doesn’t fit fully on ipad 2. you have to scroll to see the right edge.

hello, when I download your theme package and upload the files I find that all the files are in just one row, and lot of them are truncated, how can I be sure that the files are the same of the downloaded zip file? thanks

when uploading files via FTP please make sure that you are using Binary transfer mode.
If you are using FileZilla go to Transfers > Transfer mode and make sure that Binary is selected. Then upload the theme again.

Hello, I purchased the theme yesterday and want to customize styles. I setup the Child theme but unfortunately the Child theme styles are not overriding the main theme. I also want to turn off certain features like the top ribbon but cant see that there is a feature for this. Please assist, thank you .

Hello i have a question about search filter in the main page, for example if you choose the option 1 or 2 ( accommodation or self catered ) the web browser it take that price ”?what=1&term=&from=&to=&rooms=” and you can see the second page with results , after that if someone change mind and need to see other type of accommodation and choose from refine search results module other option by accommodation type “villas”( self catered) after pressing “search again” button, it take zero results. the absolute path in web browser stays in option ”?what=1&term=&from=&to=&rooms=” and doesn’t chance in option 2 like this ”?what=2&term=&from=&to=&rooms=”. i suppose by pressing “search again” button the absolute path ”?what=1&term=&from=&to=&rooms=” must be reset and recalculate the search options

I’ve created a few hotels and room types. When I browse to the hotel listing page (“My Accommodations”) and clicks on the Edit button, it opens the Create Accommodations with none of the details of the selected hotel pre-fill in. Is this a bug?

However, I need your help in configuring tours in a better way. Current Scenario is:
Suppose I have a tour package named Golden Traingle Tour, and again this tour have have sub-packages like- Deluxe-Triple Sharing Basis – $300
- Deluxe-Double Sharing Basis – $200
- Deluxe-Single Sharing Basis – $100
- Standard-Triple Sharing Basis – $250
- Standard-Double Sharing Basis – $150
- Standard-Single Sharing Basis – $50
-
All sub-packages are part of Golden Traingle Tour.
Is there anyway to display everything alltogether, like we display hotel with all available room categories

One more issue is with blocking dates, currently dates are being selected as tour date, how can I remove the restriction for user so that they will be able to select any date.
User should be allowed to book on whatever date he likes to book, but currently system is not allowing to do so.

We will add category support to tours, accommodations, car rentals and locations soon. Some of this stuff will be solvable using that. However, why don’t you just create separate tours for each one of these things?

While creating schedule for tours, it is setting for a particular date. Dates after tour date has been blocked. Kindly tell some way so that schedule date should be treated as tour start date and all dates should be open for booking.
User should be allowed to book on whatever date he likes to book, but currently system is not allowing to do so.

You also have to upgrade the php files in the child theme (unfortunately this is an issue with all php files inside a WP child theme unless one uses filters and hooks exclusively).
I recommend you make a backup of the changes you made in php and js files in child theme, then upgrade child theme php and js files, and then reapply the code changes you made to child themes manually.

Looks like your page hasn’t fully load.
I suspect the issue is to do with php_mcrypt.dll extension not enabled on your php configuration as explain here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2604435/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-mcrypt-encryptTo test that this is the issue indeed, please set WP_DEBUG to true in your wp-config.php and reload the page.

No, no such feature comes out of the box. You’d have to custom code something like that.

Yes, the tabs translation issue will be fixed in next upgrade.
As for flags, you’ll have to play around with the css as the theme by default does not include support for the flags at all, instead the theme style caters to word language names only.
I posted a question last night about how to modify the Custom Search Page to allow Refine Search for Tours including the Tour Type field, just as you do in Accommodations (and Car Rentals).
For some reason my comment doesn’t show.
Could you please point me in the right direction to achieve this goal? I need to retrieve the array of tour-types from the database, and then present it to the user as an additional criteria to refine search.
I was trying to copy the data structure shown in lines 15, 17 and then build the array as in lines 57 – 69 to finally present to the user as in lines 294 – 307 in the custom-search-results.php file.
I did that but I get the White screen of death.

A question related to the front-end submission, I didn’t find the answer in the documentation. 2 people will manage the accomoddation and vacancy with the front-end submission. I tested it and I guess only the creator of an accomodation can see it and will manage it. The 2nd user won’t see and manage it. Is it right? If yes, how can 2 people can manage the same accomodations? Best regards

This is an interesting feature that we might consider adding to our theme for everyone.
The only issue I can see is that we don’t want to allow the property owners to see any other usernames or emails from the system (in order to prevent spam).
Perhaps some sort of invite system could be applied – or perhaps even simpler this could just be an admin feature – where admin can assign more than one person to be owner of an accommodation.
Any suggestions?
Right, your answer is clear. I created the accomodations, locations … with my admin user ID. I would like that that a byt-user could manage it. Is it possible to transfer the “property” of accomodation, location .. to an another user. I am able to update directly the database if you tell me witch items I have to change. I am open mind to another idea. thks

In phpmyadmin find our the ID of the user you want to transfer to… say it’s 25.
Open wp_posts and find your accommodation or location post (accommodations and locations are custom posts) and change the post_author field value from admin (usually 1) to your new value (in example it’s 25).
I created this vacancy:
Check-in date: 10/16/2014 Check-out: 10/25/2014
if the user searches for accommodations for example:
Check-in date: 10/18/2014 Check-out date: 10/20/2014

I updated to version 5.2, the problem was solved with tours. But the problem with the accommodations continue. The search does not show the accommodation with vacancies.

Hello. I like so much your theme but I have some problems:
1. First I whant to change from “Theme Options” -> “Accommodations” the sequences of the field “Availability” and “Description” ( I whant first “Description” and after “Availability”). I drag&drop to change order of tabs, but after I save, it returns all the same. How come ?
and 2. Can I ad for example an extra-cost (like cost of dog stay in the room or laundery cost, or pick-up airport cost) at the rooms?
and… There is a “minimum stay” (minimum 2 days for example) (with minimum 2 persons for example)?

We are aware that the tabs and extra fields have issues with translations since we made them dynamic. This will be fixed in our next upgrade.
As for search parameters, search is another feature we are hard at work to revamp and we will release it in the upcoming upgrade.

Hello Guys .. do you think it is possible to build a someting like a ” bulk import tool ” or XML/API that might allow user to export and import inventory ( static and dynamic data ) and that will allow user to exchange their inventory between different ” BookYourTravel ” theme users ?
