Hi ThemeSplat,
I’ve just installed the latest version of PHPBB on my server, I believe it’s 3.1.1 – I’ve tried installing a different theme but it didn’t show in styles because 3.0 themes are not compatible with 3.1.x.
I want to purchase this theme, but I want to make sure it is compatible with 3.1.x before I buy. If it’s not do you intend to update the theme anytime soon?

It Needs to be updated. 3.1 will need to be a more mature software before I write my themes to work with it. Its way too early and pointless to use 3.1 at the moment. With only 3 official extension and just a bunch of unstable ones I’m sure you get the point

I bought this theme, and I uploaded to folder BBOOTS to my /styles/ folder. The style.cfg is in there, but still my phpBB forum doesnt detect any styles for installing. What can be wrong, I just installed phpBB so I got the newest version.
Òke, so I edited style.cfg to; name = BBOOTS copyright = © SiteSplat.com© 2013 phpbb_version = 3.1.0 style_version = 3.0.2
and now it works.
The theme is not working correctly ?

Oke it works, but it does not work on phpBB 3.1 but nothing works on 3.1 yet so.

sorry for the delay. You figure it out I see.
Send me an email if you run into any issues. 3.1 will not be worth to upgrade to for at least 6 months and possibly even longer. Dont forget to register here : http://www.sitesplat.com/ to get the compatible mods and premium addons. There also tutorials and custom stuff..

It needs to be rewritten for 3.1. As I mentioned in some of my comments earlier, there is no point to rush on 3.1. phpBB 3.0.x will be supported up until 3.0.14 and 3.1 is simply NOT mature enough. There are barely 3 official extensions released and the few under dev are certainly not for live forums yet. I started writing up my styles when 3.1 was in beta. it will; take time to be ready. 3.1 will be going through lots of updates so you don’t really want a possible broken forum each time. Trust me as I’ve been on this for few moons now, don’t rush the update. Its not the right moment. Stay tuned and follow me if you like to know when new styles will be available for 3.1. Or you can purchase any of the current styles and join the community forum : http://www.sitesplat.com for premium MODs, addons and great people who contribute with tutorials and resources. Cheers! Hello Dave, I have installed both BBOOTS and MINI-CMS. The customization of MINI-CMS is not clear and does not work for the footer area - changes do not apply…. For the Logo Text, is there no way to keep the part of the text in Blue and … just as advertised and with the MINI CMS. Again, I think that the documentation packaged with BBOOTS is out of date, pls check it again. My site is biafraforum.com. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey there yes that’s for the general language. There are language packs available on phpBB.. For the specific theme options if it’s not available on my support forum you can translate just by using notepad++. Cheers! Dave
ok so I was begining to install this BBOTS, it says install automod first to install BBOTS,
I went to install automod following this instructions from phpBB site:
“To install AutoMOD, you first need to copy its files to your phpBB3 directory. Inside the zipped file is a subfolder called “root”. Its contents should look like this: automod_dir_structure.png automod_dir_structure.png (4.54 KiB) Viewed 39088 times The image above shows the file structure within the “root” directory. Simply copy these directories to your forum’s root directory (i.e. copy them to yourforum.com/phpBB3/) overwriting folders when specified by the FTP client. Note: Do not copy the root directory itself, only the contents from that directory.
After uploading the files, you need to run the install script. Point your browser to yourforum.com/phpBB3/install/. You should see something like the image below.“
The problem is that I couldnt find he “install script” thing, so I got stuck. and my phpBB ACP crash..
later I found that automod version is for phpBB version 3.0.11 below, and my phpBB version is 3.0.12..

Just restore from back up,and install just the way when I used to install a style. I think you should update the documentation about how to install BBOOTS. Got lost a while becouse of it..

I have just purchased this wonderful looking theme however, I cannot get automod 1.0.2 installed so that it shows up on the tab navigation. I have tried both the Softaculous and PHPBB 3.0.12 install via FTP. After copying over the automod files from the root directort as outlined here https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/official_tool/automod/faq/f_786
and then deleting the Install folder (...that then took away the error message in my ACP panel) still nothing shows up.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I love your Forum template. I am planning to use it for a community. Quick question tho… is it possible to add small icons below each users stats like the ones on Themeforest Authors? Example: After 10 posts, the user gets a small special icon, 100 posts another icon, 1000 posts another icon…etc. Something like what Authors get on Themeforest; an icon for $1,000 + sales, user has refered 1-2 members…etc.

you mean phpBB 3.1? Probably couple months after the official release. It’s pointless to have the style ready right away when the actual phpBB software will still have bugs to be ironed out. Also keep in mind that all the current MOD’s for phpBB 3.0.12 will not work with phpBB 3.1. People will not be to keen to move to a software that cannot be extended easily. There will be literally few extension developed by the official team for the time being. With that being said, all my premium addons available on sitesplat.com will be working on phpBB3.1
