Hi, no, there is no visual composer. The theme uses widgetized layouts, and there is the possibility to add shortcodes for buttons, columns etc.

The theme does not support ad placement out of the box, no. You should find a plugin perhaps to achieve this.

No, you can only use self hosted videos for the post cover. Videos work in both posts, its just that the other one takes a bit of more time to load.

I’m not sure what you mean here by “real” responsive images. It’s supposed to be just resized on smaller screens by default. But yes, we can probably load smaller sized photos for ‘post covers’ on mobile phones. We will surely consider that in future updates.

I know that = I’ve already got that plugin installed but the subtitles are not being displayed on the widgetised recent post grid. They are showing fine on the homepage.
