What I would love is the ability to set the portfolio cover image, and header image separately. Its hard to have the cover/header image the same as the portfolio cover image.
For instance I am using the grid portfolio on the homepage, and on my portfolio page im using the tall vertical portfolio but both have to share the same cover photo. IT would be nice to have the ability to upload a square (grid) and vertical cover photo separately for each project.

I understand what you mean, but WordPress only allows a single featured image for each post/portfolio. We can add it using metaboxes, but it would confuse some WP beginners among buyers.
Why not just put them in auto hidden meta boxes that you activate with the screen options, or a toggle tab? It would really make your theme much easier to use, and would make the presentation look 10x better as well.

Hello again, First of all thank you for your theme guys. I have to admit that it’s been a long time since I’ve made some basic modifications on a wpress theme, a few good yrs now actually, when visual composer, revolution slider, wpml, rtl, etc didn’t remember to exist. Getting in contact with these new tools I realised that to set up this theme you need pretty advanced knowledges of wpress and coding. At this point, after a few days of reading the manual and other additional instructions, after loading/importing/tweaking this “undiscovered secret” I became running out of patience because I am far away from the main goal – setting up a gallery…
I give up on my idea of having a carousel(?) , I just want a simple clean template based on home, about and a few well structured clean posts (something like 25ah dot se for example) Is there any possibility to have this dream come true using all these notio tools ? Also, as a feed-back
1- Is there any possibility to create in your next update the logo text toggle option ? It’s a must imho because the png looks not so good at different sizes;
2-regarding the preloader settings, are missing the most important options : having the possibility to change or set one desired color of the dot preloader and having the possibility to change the way it show up (flash, still, fade, etc parameters) the bulb is randomly changing the color no matter what as far as I can see. Could you share with us these toggle options please in your next update or point the path and some advices, where we should looking for additional changes ?
3-Header Height from the Theme option menu will change only the menu / hover page position, not the header itself is it normal ?
You’ve made a great job for sure, in your routine as developers everything is nice and easy but I – and maybe I’m not the only one- am an end user who want to use the theme, without being necessary to struggle learning advanced coding techniques to set up a gallery. It will be amazing if you guys share with us more. Some video screen captures with “anything” about this theme and how to set up a few pages will be very handy, I kindly ask your support giving us some guides in order to start our sites.

Hi Green, please remember VC takes some time getting used to. You need to enable “Backend Editor” and then click on “Add New Element” to bring up list of VC elements to use.

Hi, btw VC shoud have Classic mode / Frontend / Backend editor options ? I’ve asked because there are only 2 options in the integrated notio VC Classic / Backend editor.
1) I appreciate it ; 2) I just had a trial session with the preloader.Could you be so kind, what wp plugin are we dealing with in this case ? I just want to make it stay longer on the screen introducing a delay while the content is loading. Could you point the file and section where I can make these changes ? Even if the page is still loading , sometimes the effect stay half of a second before it dissapear .Also, regarding the Background-attachment options fixed/scroll/inhreit – there is no difference between these, with or without a background gif loaded… am I miss something ? 3)I’ve opened a ticket.
We have disabled the FrontEnd editor for theme compatibility.
2) This is our own plugin, which waits for the images to load before running any JS scripts. You can edit assets/js/app.min.js between lines 22 and 29. Fixed/scroll/inherit will give you the same results in this case since the preloader is itself, fixed.
2)I’ll try, thanks. What do you mean by “preloader is itself, fixed.” it’s a file other than gif type ? “because I’ve tried also that option with the default theme gif and there are no changes on Fixed/scroll/inherit settings.
Could you be so kind, regarding the wysiwyg mode whay plugins are in conflict with VC please ? I’m not interested in using WooCommerce for example and maybe there are other plugins too. Do you guys tested this theme with Microtemer ? I just analyze this alternative option …
Hi Green, the preloader is a div with background, so the settings inside the Theme Options only affect the background settings.
You would need to contact the VC developers for this.
Sorry but I really want to clarify this .The preloader is a fading policolor dot over a transparent square background – am I right ? It’s hard to believe that someone will want that dot over a black/red/blue/ background as long as already we have the transparency available around the dot and will fit on any background page color…that’s why I am still wondering who will use these decorative settings. whatever. this is marketing in the purest form imho, no offence if you have another example to show I’ll be happy to watch .

In my knowledge the background is and will always be in the background not in the front anywayz… Regarding the above question I wanted to ask what are the plugins that are in conflict with the FrontEnd section in VC .I understand from your answer (We have disabled the FrontEnd editor for theme compatibility) that there are some problems if we use FrontEnd editor perhaps together with the other plugins … or (?) If I disable the specified plugins that for me could be useless, can you provide the full version of VC with FrontEnd included ? regards,
Background is a CSS property, so it doesn’t matter if it is in front or not You’ll need to contact VC to get a list of conflicting plugins. If you open a support ticket, we ‘ll be happy to share the code to re-enable it.

hello, ive just updated the 1.3 and im trying to use the Header Padding option to increse the “bottom” padding and after adding a number like 100 in PX im not seeing any changes at all i made it 1000px just to see and still no change in the padding???

Updated to the latest version 1.3 (message from Themeforest). VisualComposer needs to be updated to 4.4.2. Can i update the plugin form WP Bakery without problems? There is a message from Woo: ‘Your theme has bundled outdated copies of WooCommerce template files.’ Will there be a new Notio update. Can you please give a change log for 1.3?

Yes, you can update your own VC if you have a license. With version 1.3, we added the latest version of files AND deleted some of the files not in use. So make sure you delete your notio-wp/woocommerce/ folder and upload the latest one.

I don’t understand how to create a portfolio-homepage just like you did on the model.
On the admin “Portoflio” I created some with “add new” option. Then I created a simple page that I called “Home”. Then I linked my portfolios posts to this Home page (as mainpage).
But it didn’t work. When I’m on the home, the page is empty (http://www.leamendes.com/) I don’t understand how fixed that, neither how to choose the portfolio style I want. On your Notion theme model you present a lots of awesome portfolios styles, but I don’t find on the settings where they are (grid, mansonary…etc).

Hi laielea, you can set your frontpage from Settings -> Reading. Then you need to use the VC elements to add content, preferably the “Portfolio” element.

Now, I have found some bug in logo section after your latest theme update. Check this screenshot out:

Second thing, new options in Header section “Header Height”, “Header Padding” and “Logo Height” are not working. When you change the values, nothing happens and template is still reading default values from app.css file.

If you use the “by ID” selection, the portfolios are displayed in order you write their IDs in.
Where do you find the ID?

Also, I was wondering if the theme supports GIFs? I tried to contact the VC people to ask about why I couldn’t upload GIFs and they said “Animated Image Element is not default element of Visual Composer. So it is either added by your WordPress theme author or some VC add-on developed by 3rd party developer. We are not aware of it’s structure and capabilities so I would recommend you to contact theme author regarding this issue as he/she should have more information.”.

1. The sitename (in this case NOTIO) as far as I can see it’s an image. Is there any possibility to have the logo typed in the same line and font with the main menu (Montserrat font, not png) / or center when the menu it’s hide on the right ?

2) As per Envato rules, we cannot supply the style switcher with the download. However, we will be happy to supply it if you want it. Every setting + more is available in Theme Options

2. I want to use website to form orders but not for direct purchase. So is it possible to make price “by request” and make “checkout” (without direct payment) with this type of prices?

1) You can enable sidebar on WordPress pages. However, some WC pages like Cart, etc does not allow this.

3) Product pages do not have sidebars, but you can add information via WooCommerce attributes which will be visible as a table on product page

Hi, loving the theme but wanted to ask you something. We are wanting to use the masonary 2 setup as essentially a menu. So rather than link to portfolio items, rather have it link to pages…..is it possible to basically set the url that it sends you to after you have clicked? We have done all the custom graphics and have it set to the same pixel sizes on your demo site. Its just about getting the structure right for where those link to.
Also, its not showing the front end visual composer, only the backend editor….should that be the case?
